What are your thoughts on local school districts planning to start the year 100 percent online?

I think it's the right thing to do. Even if infections in children are rare or less severe, COVID-19 will spread to more vulnerable people like wildfire.

I think it would have been best to find a way to have both online and in-class schooling, but I understand why some schools are hesitant to re-open.

Kids need to get back to school — there's no replacement in-person education, especially for young children. I'm sure we can manage to do it safely for everyone in the community.

Maybe if the federal government allocated more money to public education, we would be able to reopen safely. If the government wants to get kids back in class, that's the way to go.
