The hurricane makes landfall, the tide is rising, the wind is howling, and “some people” insist on their right to swim at the beach. Why? Well, because it’s summer. It’s hot. We did this last year. The human mind amazes me for its inventiveness - including its capacity for self-delusion. Sorry folks but our social inventions (beach vacations, pool parties, bars, schools, etc.) cannot overcome natural disasters. Wishing and hoping is NOT planning. Let’s plan!
