It was a different time, and a dangerous one — I see why we made the camps, though I wouldn't support them now.
We had no idea who was loyal and who wasn't — the camps were necessary for the safety of the U.S. as a whole, and if we were faced with a similar situation now, I would support them.
A lot of people miss the fact that anyone who was forced into a camp received reparations — and if we can give reparations to the Japanese, we can certainly give reparations to the descendants of slaves.
