I eat out my girlfriend. She's a nurse who has recovered from COVID-19. I'm safe.

I have felt extremely safe throughout this whole situation. I eat in restaurants quite often and I am comfortable with accommodations made for safety. It seems as there are still many expats living in much fear over their safety and I feel sorry for them, but each of us must choose our course of action. If they are uncomfortable with accommodations being made by the many businesses that are open for business, they should by all means stay home and limit their activities. I, although being an older, retired person, do not wish to spend the rest of my life locked up at home. I am a believer in herd immunity and feel that is the best solution for this virus. It's time to get on with life and enjoy. I am not interested in nasty replies by those who need to covid shame any who do not agree with their personal decisions and who indulge in virtue signaling.
Only restaurants with outdoor seating, preferabley ocean side.

We only do take out from our favorite restaurants here in LaPaz. There are to many people that just are not following proper protocol.

I’m in San Miguel de Allende. So far, the town is taking COVID-19 VERY seriously.
Restaurants that have re-opened have to pass certifications and follow-up visits to validate by the rules.
Face masks to enter; face masks by the wait staff. Shallow tray of disinfectant at the entrance for the bottoms of your shoes; temperature taken, and a squirt of hand sanitizer.
Tables are now well-spaced to provide distancing. No tablecloths and no place settings.
Once seated, then you get the set-up. The menu is now on single-use paper. As you leave, someone is immediately to sanitize the table top and the seats that were occupied.
So, yeah, I feel safe. And these Good folks really need the business.
But I’m certainly not traveling for tourism and fun during this pandemic. Not sure how safe I’d feel in a restaurant I didn't know.

I only eat, and get haircuts, where there's good ventilation and I trust the vendor.

Those are three stupid options! I responded that I feel fine because I eat out at only where I know they practice the virus protocols. Others who don’t believe in protocols don’t care very much and eat wherever, and will vote the same as I did.Sorry, but your survey is flawed

One more time: You can point to restaurants, barber shops, hair salons, taquerias, ice cream shops and everything else that draws humans like flies. The VIRUS IS AIRBORNE. You can be infected anywhere and anytime, whether in your bed while making torrid love, or showering, or having your shoes shined, or walking up or down a pyramid, or hanging tight at a coffee shop while a Mariachi plays "Proud Mary". There is no "safe" place with a guarantee. None. Not even your bank or church. Dining out is no different. The question is annoying because it works on the cheap assumption that the virus is, say, here and not there...

There is no evidence that eating Covid cells will infect you. An open air setting is essential because you are potentially around the same people for an extended time (greater than 20 minutes) and could them breathe in enough of thee virus from an infected person to make you ill.

The problem is not with the restaurants. The problem is when you are eating, you can't wear a mask. To be inside a restaurant without my N95 mask on, surrounded by others without masks, is a risk I'm not prepared to take. Even outside at a street stand, if it's a good one, there's a crowd. I don't want other people breathing on me. Here in SLP no guidelines have been strictly enforced, and masks are just beginning to be seen more rather than less. We have thousands of active cases, and all private hospitals are full and turning away COVID patients, Although I feel sorry for all the restaurant owners and employees, but I'm not about to put my life at risk.

I feel perfectly safe eating at restaurants and/or at most of the little vendor stands.

There have been studies regarding contracting coronavirus from food the chances are next to none. However, eating in a restaurant with air conditioner and no windows open and nobody wearing a mask is almost certain that most folks will breathe in large doses of the virus. That's the key. How much you breathe in dictates how bad your symptoms become. I eat out quite often now, just not inside restaurants. Only on the patios.

Overlooked! Nobody knows what or who is infecting in the kitchens?
Good Luck!
Maybe it would be best if restaurants had hot water.many do not.
