Ethan Strand, Vestavia Hills (AL): He set an all-time Alabama 5K record, winning the Southern Showcase in a personal best and US No. 2 of 14:36.88. It was also the fastest time of the weekend.
Noah Ward, Philip Simmons (SC): The senior from Charleston won the Run the Stables Invitational with a South Carolina No. 2 and a personal best of 15:07.90.
Carter Lipscomb, Doddridge County (WV): With the re-start in West Virginia fairly new, Lipscomb popped a state-leading and US No. 11 effort of 15:03.00 at the Magnolia Mudhole Invite.
Gabriel Montague, Satellite (FL): Montague won his fourth straight meet, posting a personal best of 15:14.60 for 5K at the Viera Invitational.
Nathan Mountain, St. Xavier (OH): He won his third straight meet and went under 15 minutes for the first time in his XC career, winning the Trinity/Valkyrie Invitational in 14:46.90. That's the fastest 5K effort in Ohio since 2017.
Gavin Sherry, Conard (CT): The Connecticut junior unloaded an outdoor time of 14:43 for 5K at the GSTC High School Fall Showcase in New Jersey.
Dalton Mortensen, Bountiful (UT): Mortensen broke out his biggest win of the season at the UIAAA Invitational, going 15:01.09 for 3-miles to beat the 1-2 pair of Brayden Packard and Nate Jaster of American Fork.
