FFVII Remake is the best game I have ever played in 2020. Can't say anything about Demon's Souls -my most anticipated game- because I didn't get the honor to try it as the console isn't released yet in my country. but still I'm more into FFVII Remake. As for the rest, they were fine but not GOTY in my perspective :D

I know FF7 remake is just the part 1, but I enjoy the most, love every bit of it

FF7: Remake is the best game I've played in a long time. There's so much going on. I've put about 180 hours into it, and I've not yet achieved it's platinum trophy. Hard mode is just ridiculous with hidden, seemingly impossible bosses... and Hell House, holy cow I still have nightmares. Wild magic "materia" combinations to create of the wall character builds that keep you amused for days on end.
Although, as a fan of the original 1997 release, the Remake did strike me as bittersweet at first, but by the time I completed my first playthrough I was completely over the changes and thirsty for the next installment.

Final Fantasy 7 Remake all the way. I loved Ghost of Tsushima but FF7 brought the best from the original and made it even better while adding new and great things. The original was always stated to be the best JRPG and even by many the best game of all time and the remake somehow is doing better, at least to me. Can’t wait for part 2!!

I would love to say Ghost of Tsushima, but I still haven't beat it, I'd say the combat in Ghost is top notch, but as someone who loves narrative driven games, FF7 Remake was everything for me. While I love GoT's open world with its' engaging story so far, FF7 remake just brought up old and even made new great memories. I'm excited to see Part 2.

Ghost of Tsushima it's a beautiful game, beautiful cinematics and scenarios, fun to play. Im a big fan of final fantasy but the remake it's an incomplete game and boring

20. Cinematic, both cutscenes and gameplay

The Cons:
1. Aerial Combat for Close combat characters
2. It has some Low graphic details
3. Unrealistic Physics to objects
4. Lip sync except in cutscenes (Japanese lip sync is better though)
5. Slow rendering details
6. Some Side Quests should be enjoyable

Not sure how sone of these games are on this list considering they either A. Wont be released until the end of this week, or B. Were released within the last week. That said I went with FF7. I waited 23 years for this game and absolutely loved it. Although objectively I think Ghost of Tsushima was pund for pound a better game, it just didn't have the sentimental value of Final Fantasy 7 Remake.

For the the gotty and the PS magazine should go to the Final Fantasy 7 Remake its like a grandfather for all playstation games and a symbol of revolution in the industries back to 1997 so it deserves in honour of the OG game
First RPG I ever played, a game I've been waiting for but also accepted might never happen.
It came just when we needed it, and it deserves full praise for how it just tugged every heart string, ever bit of nostalgia, every cinematic moment. Easy pick, hands down.

I did not know what to expect for Final Fantasy VII remake. I had it built up and on a pedestal in my head. After beating it I was left dumbfounded by how much fun I had. Then the ending settled in and made me very nervous about where it's going. Which is exciting because WHO KNEW a remake to a game could leave you wondering about anything?? This is hands down my game of the year. And I've been waiting VERY patiently for those inevitable next gen upgrades to dive back in.
