So I'm driving six hours to see my79-year-old mom. I'm in the Moderna trial and will be tested again as part of the trial. Mom has pretty much quarantined since March except for golf (which is now over) and outdoor bridge with a bunch of other older women. That's done too. I'm going to see my mom. I'll take precautions. I won't hug her, but I will cook her dinner. My son will also be there too. He's being tested two days before and will quarantine till he gets to dinner. But no seeing my brothers, nieces and nephews or close family. Am I pissed? you betcha'.

instead of gathering with my entire family, elderly parents, 5 brothers and sisters, along with spouses and children, I plan to have my 2 children and their significant others in my home for the holidays.

Where's the checkbox for "drive in a car with my close family (whom I live with) to a cabin in the woods where we can increase our social distance by a few miles"?

Our plans are still up in the air! Our neighbor's garage is cul-de-sac's watering hole, and my husband goes over 3-4 times a week, with a revolving 4 or 5 other couples. Two kids in the neighborhood have been quarantined recently due to COVID exposure at school. As much as I'd like to keep with our neighborhood tradition of Friendsgiving, I'm hoping we have dinner at home, and the grownups gather for drinks around the usual time. Maybe we'll each cook a dish or two and go to each house Trick-or-Treat style! I'll make the traditional meatballs and lasagna!

It's Thanksgiving, and my immune compromised mother, along with my father will stand down. They understand and we visit them in small groups and will that weekend. The rest of us, kids especially need some normalcy not penalization.

Your forced-choice answers didn't quite fit my situation and plans which are apt to change as the status of Covid in our area could change. I plan to join 5 other family members (same family) and together we are a 'bubble' who gets together 1-2 times a month. But since 4 of those 5 are in a K-12 school setting since early October, sometimes we have to mask up. However, we've also been able to be outside without masks so that will depend on the weather. Everybody knows that my plans could change a day before if Covid changes things. Not ideal, but that's about it all goes anymore. Flexibility is the key! We'll get through this!!

We're driving to stay with my parents, who haven't seen me much this year. We'll do a 100% quarantine for the two weeks beforehand, since Dad's immunocompromised and the thought of something going wrong is somewhat petrifying. (Currently preparing my final bunker grocery list!)
