Been natural since 2011. The Dominicans in DC really effed me up and cut my hair so I decided to stop relaxing it and trim the perm out. Once I learned how to two strand twist I really began to love the hair that was growing out of my hear. I feel like my truest self.
The YouTube tutorials are pretty good at showing the mechanics. Although mu hands will never get braiding correctly. I don’t even try. Shoutout to anyone that can braid. Y’all the real super heroes. I was so sure that would be my super power on the 21st. I feel cheated.

My last hair cut was in February 2020 and before that in September 2019 I was bald. I was never going to have long hair again! I had no plans for getting service again until I'm vaccinated, and my barber stopped cutting a couple of months ago because of the coronavirus. So I guess I'm growing it out now. It's just long enough for two French braids. I was twisting it before, but now y'all gonna get this 'fro Zazie Beetz style! I'm sure it's doing better since I'm not handling it as much.
