Washington state politicians want to impose a "billionaire tax" that taxes people 1% after the first $1 billion. Thoughts?

This stinks of socialism. We shouldn't be targeting people just because they're richer than the rest of us.

Normally I'd cry foul, but just 1% AFTER the first billion? That doesn't sound so egregious. Who really needs all that money?

I think this is a fantastic way to raise tax revenue without raising taxes on literally 99.99% of people in the state.

I think this is a good idea, but with an obvious flaw — what if those billionaires move away? Then we're back to square one.

This is not an issue I care about.
