Loved the first episode for the most part. But the actor playing Jordan Kent is all wrong Supermans son wouldn't or shouldn't have hair like that (glasses won't hide that face & a hat won't help that hair. I know the kids are half human but grandsons of Johnathan Kent & colonel Lane wouldn't have hair like that.
An the person playing captain Luthor is all wrong I was hoping for Jon Cryer older from the future to play the part since CW's Supergirl is going off the air after season 6 raps up. Also why didn't anything happen to (Jordan Kent) when the orange Kryptonite absorbed into his hand from the ship in episode 1?

I thought it was excellent. His suit is superb. The costume designers did an excellent job. The writers are off to a great start with the plot of the show. Balancing the role of Superman, a father, & now a mentor to one of his sons, guiding him through transitioning into his powers. There is a lot to be explored. Is Jordan going to be immune to kryptonite, since he is half human/half kryptonian? Is he going to develop all the powers of Superman? Is Luthor going to be a Luthor of an alternate Earth who is a sole survivor from Crisis? There's a lot of twists to be revealed, & a lot of questions I'm anxious to have answers to. It will definitely keep me watching, especially with the cast they have, both on the screen, & behind the screen. Great job, you guys.

Wasn't happy at all with this, maybe I'll try one more and see what happens. Too many contrived events. Fired from your job and not laid off? Why? Didn't make sense. Umm, who puts a router up high in a barn AND stores heavy pipes up high like that? Reverse mortgage on the farm? With all the secrets buried there? What the hell was that orange crystal dork got? (Don't like the actors choosen for the twins, personal objection, they just don't fit.) I won't start with the character called Luther, I'll just let that lay.

It was ok. As a life long fan of Superman, I was disappointed in quite a bit. No more daily planet, no more Metropolis.
But what I found really strange is Martha’s decision to do the reverse mortgage on the Kent farm nearly losing it to the bank. You know, the farm that holds the biggest secret ever? Seems totally out of character for mom Kent who spent her sons life trying to protect his secret to be so irresponsible. Just saying

I liked most of it. Casting has me slightly bewildered. But the show "jumped the shark" when Superman falls to Earth with what I assume is Kryptonite punched into his chest and then recovers without explanation and moves on through the end of the show as if nothing happened. Getting his ass kicked is not a "business as usual" event. I'll watch another episode buf I'm skittish.

I loved this first episode. I also loved the first episode of Picard. But, the second episode introduced the seemingly obligatory foul language and profanity. I really really hope that Superman and Lois doesn't go down that negative road. True family entertainment does it need that garbage.

Good new story, but did anyone else think that it was strange that out of the blue someone was trying to destroy you (as in Superman) and you aren't asking the person: What is your beef with me? What did I do to you? This was a major flaw in otherwise a good Pilot. Do bad for this flaw.

I think for a reboot it is Good. Definitely a New twist on the story I am hoping the writers don't make the pit fall of Lex Luther being the only villian in the series. Brainiac as well as other supervillians Interesting, and utilizing CRISIS ON INFINITE EARTHS is a source of plots for stories! Team up stories, traveling to different planets, Lois has a evil supervillian twin from another earth!
