Am loving that EZ is now beginning to speak and be heard. He’s the future brains.

The start of season 3 was disjointed, disconnected and disappointing. A piece of this, a piece of that........no continuity, and NONE of the grittiness that the first two seasons had. The long layoff should have produced a strong chain from the end of season 2, but it resulted in a hodgepodge of afterthoughts and inane innuendo. Speaking bluntly,,,,,,,,,,,it sucked. If the rest of the episodes are as poorly constructed as the premiere, there'll be no season 4....

I agree with the previous comment -- yes, it was weak... perhaps old age has gotten the better of me, but I cannot recall a start-of-season on Sons of Anarchy that was this lethargic. But then, again, I also had not known that it was a *16 month* layoff... not, at any rate, until S3/E1 began, and I quickly realized how little carry-over I had from Season 2. Distressing. I think it was an (almost) impossible task for the writers and cast/crew. And, still, look at the ground they covered (and had to re-cover! I feel like I'm "in recovery").
My biggest -- really, sole -- gripe is that if I don't catch Mayans when it's broadcast, I won't be able to see it latrer. My television is not Internet-capable, so I can't stream Mayans the next day over "FX on Hulu" (nor any other streaming service). WTF, FX? Comcast "On-Demand" doesn't work for you?
Finally, thank you for a great synopsis of tonight's two-episode premiere; it's comprehensive and well-written. Good job!

This season starts off weak, with the build up.
