Would you buy a HomePod with a screen?

Yes, I’ve always thought Apple should make one version with a screen. It can be a sort of home hub in the kitchen for accessing quick info, controls, recipes, etc.

A HomePod app on iPadOS and iOS would be able to do all of this, i.e. an app that would basically turn the iPad into a screen for the HomePod.

Probably best though to design it so that when you open the HomePod app that the Auto-Lock on the iPad doesn’t kick in and just goes into sleep mode until the screen is touched.

I've already bought 5. They're called Google Hub Max and they're perfect. Apple is 5 years behind by ignoring the marketplace that has clamored for smarthome video hubs. Google listened and nailed it. And Siri is garbage compared to Google's speech recognition AI.

Feature creep. If you make all your products run on ARM and have a screen you are just selling different size iphones.

I would also like a HomePod sound bar that pairs with HomePod minis as satellite speakers

The ???? We’re my attempt at using an emoji; the one for a curling stone ;-)

A HomePod with display (screen) needs to have a HomePod inspired base with the mesh materials but around an entirely different shape we haven’t seen yet. Think of the base being inspired by a curling ???? stone with HomePod materials
