Ethan Ell, Purcell Marian – The sophomore pitched a four-inning win, 12-2, against Winton Woods on Saturday, March 27. He had (7) strikeouts and only gave up (1) hit. He also went 1 for 2 with a double at the plate.
Jayce Parsons, Deer Park – The freshman threw a no-hitter with 15 strikeouts and 2 walks. On the day, Parsons was 3-for-5 at the plate with 4 runs scored in the 15-0 win over St. Bernard-Elmwood Place March 27.
Mason Perkins, Summit Country Day – The junior SS/P had an explosive opening day as Summit Country Day played two games Saturday, a 9-3 win over Landmark Christian and a 5-4 loss to Little Miami. Perkins was 6-for-7 overall belting a total of four home runs and driving in eight.
Drew Cox, Mason – The sophomore IF was 3-for-3 driving in three runs in his Comet debut as Mason defeated Moeller 9-7
Lleyton Flamm, New Richmond – The junior opened the season with a perfect game on the mound as the Lions blanked East Clinton 8-0. Flamm had 15 strikeouts and also was 2-for-4 at the plate driving in a run and scoring a run.
Caden Crawford, CHCA – The junior first baseman/DH started hot against Ross in CHCA’s 16-1 win by going 3-for-4 with a pair of home runs and seven runs batted in.
Colin McLagan, Villa Madonna - The senior - in the first pitch of the first at bat of his senior year, after missing out on his entire junior year in a scrimmage Friday - hit his first home run ever. He completed the game going 3-for-4 with a home run, a triple, a single, 2 RBIs, and 1 stolen base. He played SS with 1 put out and 1 double play. He also faced 3 batters as pitcher and pitched 3 strikeouts.
