I loved the finale. I think it would have been ridiculous to tie everything and everyone up with a neat bow. Definitely not the Gallagher way and not the way things happen in life.

First thing I read is some political BS! Dude get a life! Otherwise where’s the epic Shameless ending we all wanted and deserved? Show went out with a whimper - not the Shameless way! Sad!

  • Dale Watson - 3 years ago

I think they wasted a lot of time on scenes promoting Liberal agendas that they robbed everyone of answers to simple questions.

Like other comments,The finale seemed rushed. I do think at least a phone call from fiona could of made a difference and we are left with too many questions. I feel like i didnt watch the ending at all. Was it really just a rush to end the show?

I loved Shameless from the very first episode. Shameless was apart of Sunday routine. I know some things do come to an end, but Shameless ????, I never thought it would. I'm sad that one of my favorite shows came to an end. If there's any way to bring them all back(with the exception of Frank R.I.P.) I know that, that sitcom will soar as well. Please bring back the Gallagher Family and their home, they have so much unfinished business????????????????.

Am I the only one who was sad Frank died?
When th Apocalypse comes all that will be left are the cockroaches and Frank Gallagher.

I'm so sick of people using the virus as an excuse not to do their job. not being able to film Fiona was BS. could have done a remote shoot and spliced it in as if she was really there. I saw another comment about a phone call. then Frank mentions everyone in his note but her What's up with that? Tell the truth something else kept you from putting her in that episode

Oh my goodness after 11 years, and that’s all we got! NO mention or show of Fiona.. she couldn’t make it... fine- what about a phone call, or letter/postcard- Fiona and Lip were the adults/parents- they should have had at least a phone call-

  • Jimi - 3 years ago

    Fiona should have been there.

I’m going to REALLY MISS this family saga, terribly!! I was my haven when I had a bad week of obstacles!!!
Such great casting!! The acting and storylines all make it so real! It was your life on TV, but always left you stronger, wiser, or just laughing at the shit of life happenings for some of us lol. It could go on forever as far as I’m concerned.
I felt it really touched home to a lot of us struggling and struggling to do better with SO MANY OPSTOCIALS IN OUR WAY, BUT YET THAT INNER-BEING(GOD) HAVING A GREATER PLAN!!
It was really nice watching the show,
My sister and I just brought our first home when we discovered the show, and it was oh wow!! such a pleasant funny way of seeing our lives and able to name family members as the characters lol.
I'm really gonna miss the show and HOPE THEY RETURN!!!
It would really be the American Dream, to see positive (or as shamelessly possible) growth for the sub-adverage, under-privileged, expected not to ever achieve or at least make it on stable, even if struggling ground.

I’ll miss this family saga, terribly. Such great casting, acting and storylines! It could go on forever as far as I’m concerned. The only point I would quibble with is Frank rising above on the barstool. Really? That guy going up? To actual heaven? Not for a minute!!! I hope someday to see a lot of work by these actors
It was great watching them all grow up.????

Absolutely horrible series finale. When is Hollywood ever going to learn most people watch television/movies for an escape. To end a series without tying up any (except Frank's) loose ends is absolutely horrible. At the very least they should have included a scene where the kids got confirmation he had died. The bar stool ascending to heaven was ridiculous.

So sad to see shameless end this way. Can we get a reunion show in like two weeks? A shame Fiona didnt return. It would have been nice to see more characters from past episodes. Micky already has a son. He shouldnt have been deported with Svetlana being hes american? Debbie is a disaster. Lip can buy the alibi and live upstairs. Best of luck to Kev and V wherever they end up. The weed business seemed lucrative...maybe Carl should remain a cop and take over the marajuana sales. He was so good at it. Farewell Shameless Cast. See you soon elsewhere.

I rated the series above average because I felt that it was a huge cliffhanger and I honestly hate being left in the dark. I felt strangely emotional because I didn’t know until halfway through the season this was the series finale. I had no idea what to expect but it made me upset during the end that the family didn’t get to experience closure with Frank’s death. I also would have love to see Fiona again but it’s understandable facing the circumstances with COVID. I overall love the show ever since I first started I binged seasons until I was caught up. This show has made me laugh, cry, and experience emotions like no other. So I felt it was fair to rate the final episode above average despite my own emotions. I hope there is a spin-off; but if not I feel like I could come to terms with that also. Shameless you will be missed!

I thought the finale was great. I cried, because I’m going to miss the Gallagher’s. They’ve been a part of my “family” for eleven years. As much as I should hateFrank, I can’t! I loved each and every character. What a wonderfully talented bunch of actors. I will so miss this show. I hope you do decide on a spin-off. I wouldn’t miss a single episode. Job well done, thank you!

Enjoyed this well written and beautifully acted series for 11 years and wish the Gallaghers would have had a happier ending. And Fiona truly needed to be there. Frank, good riddance, but love all the others. I'd give them all Emmy awards! If Showtime doesn't care to continue, get it on another net or platform. Ian and Mickey are the best couple on television. Kev and the beautiful, smart V have many more stories to tell. Get Lip back in college! Liam--what a great little actor--needs a secure future. Debs deserves a better partner than a criminal. Loving Carl as a cop--another great young actor. Shameless is a TV classic. It should run another 10 years! Thanks to everyone who made this must viewing, including the big guest cast of the past, especially the great Joan Cusack and "Monica," 2 more excellent actors.

We rated it as just okay, in part because we didn’t want to say goodbye. It has been a great show that talked about things you just would not see elsewhere. Acting level was of a high standard all around. We have watched the British original as well and your American version really brought it to a deeper level. Every character was essential, from the “ bar flies” to Kev & Vee to the family members.
Thank you for years of thoughtful entertainment.
From fans up here in Toronto, best of luck...we will be on the look out for anything else John Wells does which will be of such a high caliber.

  • David - 3 years ago

Bullshit! Horrible way to end the show! Continue the show! If Fiona had no closure! This was the saddest episode ever! No one cared about father dying! The hospital didn’t contact the family! Lips going to have another baby? There’s too many opened storylines!

  • Angel - 3 years ago

No closure, nothing on the kids. Would have been nice to know did they sell the house, what happened with The Alibi, did Debs go to Texas, and who took Liam in. It's was so so in my opinion. Could def have been better.

  • Angela - 3 years ago

It seemed undone, no closure with the Gallagher kids...only assumptions.
