For some reason I’m not totally sure what the creators of this series was looking to grab from its audience. As a man ( Black ) it only made me upset, disappointed & more understanding that regardless of what happens in America blacks will always be looked down upon. Hearing about these type of things happening to those of us in the past is not as traumatizing compare to when you see it on screen. It opens the door for me to understand that I really have something to live for. My people went through so much pain, for me to throw all of it away without a fight. Man! The females had it the worst. I love you mom. I promise to continue to do right and make all your dreams come true until your soul no longer occupies a body here on earth.
