I live in one of the neighborhoods, the show was filmed. I was an elected official there so I know the constituents. Although Ms. Winslet reminds me of some of my single mom neighbors, she's a lot more guarded in a NYC kind of way. However maybe it's too soon to tell? It did start off slowly, but then again, I lived there my whole life and in reality, they way we all speak to each other is more fake than garish.

I really liked the show and the performances of the stars, even though I felt that the story started off slowly.
