I would but an electric pickup if the price were below the sum of an ICE pickup plus the tax credit available.

CHEVY SHOULD BE ABLE TO PRODUCE AN ALL ELECTRIC SILVERADO FOR MUCH LESS THAN THE CURRENT ICE TRUCKS. THE PRICING IS OUTRAGEOUS AS IT IS FOR A PICK UP TRUCK.

My current vehicle is Chevy Silverado LTZ Texas Edition! I would NOT consider buying an electric version under current conditions because there is no infrastructure to support it! Maybe if things change? But, I'm 78 years old, soon to be 79, so things would have to change fairly quickly, ha!

At some point in time, either the towing range issue or charging time and infrastructure will progress to a point where and all electric truck makes sense. It would sure be great to have a nice strong hybrid with 40 or 50 mile range for day to day and a nice and efficient ICE engine when its time to haul. Until then, I might only consider one as a second truck in the household and would not pay a premium price.

Wouldn't consider buying an electric vehicle until the range, charging time and available stations is at least equal to existing gasoline powered ones!! Buying an electric vehicle to travel long distances makes no sense with the current state of the technology! They are fine for city commuting, but not for long distances, especially in rural areas and cross country trips with limited charging stations!!

Electric vehicles are fine for light duty towing and driving around town however as shown on TFL these vehicles when towing suffer extreme battery drain so to be used as a towing vehicle the manufactures will need to provide greater range when towing, even Tesla vehicles can’t achieve this standard so the cost while towing I believe puts them in the do not buy list for now

I would consider buying an all electric Silverado if it was around $30,000.

Material and build costs should be less
Always looking to the future
I wouldn’t buy one at all !
