Should Anderson Cooper be named permanent 'Jeopardy' host?

Anderson is the most mannered like Alex. You hear his voice but it doesn't distract you from the questions like everyone else so far. I mean they all do a good job but I notice when I watch the way they talk and use their voices distracts me from the questions while coopers was easy listening just like Alex. Especially Burton he was too using too much emphasis in his words and after every answer which was distracting. I like how Alex and Cooper read the questions and the calm easy going feeling. I think he would fill it the best.

Those that hate Anderson Cooper are just being spiteful. I don't care for Cooper or CNN, but he did a superb job! His flow was very natural, and at times he reminded me of Alex! There are more guest hosts to go though, so we'll see...

  • Joe Lawson - 3 years ago

Mayim from big bang would be a great fit. Please not Cooper nothing personal just tired of his face. Doent his family own biltmore or something. cmon give it to somebody its gonna matter to. Mayim is experience on.camera, super intelligent, doin a great job so far.

  • Karen Richter - 3 years ago

I vote for Anderson Cooper. He is the best replacement and if he doesn’t get it I will stop watching jeopardy! He has the same character and personality like Alex.

  • Donna Kirby - 3 years ago

Anderson Cooper is my man. My husband and I watch Jeopardy every week night and we have watched all of the guest host so far that has been on Jeopardy. Anderson Cooper speaks very clearly and has the right tone for the job. He seemed 2 communicate well with the contestants and adds humor as well. He is not a boring guest host and does not just stand there and just has one tone of voice all during the show. Yes he is not like Alex and nobody will take Alex's place. Alex was the best and will never be forgotten. I hope Anderson Cooper is picked and that he gives up his job at CNN. GO COOPER!!!!

  • Patricia Corona - 3 years ago

Anderson Cooper has experience before the television. He's quick and his voice carries over well. So far, I think he's the best host for the b show. However, I doubt he would want to leave his current job.

  • Muriel Leonard - 3 years ago

    Anderson did an outstanding job

  • Donna Jean Allen - 3 years ago

He is the worst of all. Please pick someone else! Either he knows someone or will accept the lowest pay!

    Thank you,
    Donna J. Allen

  • Terri - 3 years ago

Anderson Cooper has been my favorite so far!!!

  • CSR - 3 years ago

Anderson Cooper was great and very personable!

  • Ali Leclair - 3 years ago

Anderson Copper is the best. He is clear, precise, funny and such a good host.

  • Crystal Strumiles - 3 years ago

Aaron Rodgers and Ken Jennings are the best 2 guest hosts by far !!!

  • Girish Patel - 3 years ago

To me, Mike Richards should be a permanent host. His diction is good and also he is pleasant and has good knowledge. I found him honest too.
    Second choice is Katie .

  • Marilyn - 3 years ago

Anderson Cooper is a liar and extreme unethical broadcaster. Don’t kill Jeopardy.

  • Dawn P Moldovan - 3 years ago

I think Mike Richards was a hair better than Anderson Cooper.

  • Madelyn Gearheart - 3 years ago

I have really enjoyed Anderson Cooper and Ken Jennings so far.
For the life of me, I can’t understand the hype over Aaron Rodgers.
While he seems nice enough, he is so lethargic! I thought at one point he was going to fall asleep during the game!

  • John Goschke - 3 years ago

I've been a fan of Jeopardy for over 30 years I'm very sorry to say that the whole show is being jeopardized why people like Anderson Cooper if he is the host I will never watch it again ever ever ever and I watch it every day I think it should be Aaron Rodgers.....

  • Pat Strell - 3 years ago

Anderson the best! He has my vote.

  • Carol - 3 years ago

Mike Richards and Aaron Rodgers have been the best so far. If Anderson Cooper becomes the host, I will never watch Jeopardy again!

  • Margaret Holloman - 3 years ago

Anderson Cooper has been the best thus far. He’s the only reason I am currently watching.

  • Tammie Reasoner - 3 years ago

Anderson Cooper is a bore! Put me to sleep.

  • Mary Burnside - 3 years ago

I found Aaron Rodgers to be the very BEST host, by far...and the one who best emulated Alex Trebek’s warmth, kindness, comfort in the role, and intelligence. I’d give a 2 to Katie Couric, a 5 to Anderson Cooper (sounded like he was reading the news), a 2 to Mehmet Oz (too taken with himself). I know Ken Jennings wants the role a lot, but he is not a compelling enough persona to carry the show

  • Janet - 3 years ago

Anderson Cooper the best so far. Mike Richards was also very good. Hated Aaron Rodgers and Dr. oz.

  • Nancy S - 3 years ago

Ken Jennings and Aron Rogers, especially Aron Rogers, need to be livelier when they speak. I was looking for more excitement in his voice. Most of the time, it wasn't there. BOTH, get my votes.

  • Barbara L Strohmenger - 3 years ago

Anderson Cooper was very professional. His speech and the way he carries himself was very pleasant to see. I'm not a fan of Jeopardy but I enjoyed watching it when he hosted.

  • Charlie Campbell - 3 years ago

Anderson Cooper always seemed very into the job. For me he is more like Alex than any of the others, except for Ken Jennings. He appeared to enjoy the job more than everyone.

  • Ruth kane - 3 years ago

Mike was the best. Than Aaron. Cooper was stiff with a subtle aloofness which is him.

  • J. H. Relyea - 3 years ago

Ok THIS IT!!!! NO ONE HAS THE INTELLIGENCE AND INTEGRITY OF ANDERSON COOPER.....THE LAST 2 WEEKS HAS BEEN A BREATH OFF OF FRESH AIR FROM ALL THE OTHER HOSTS....HE IS SO KIND AND FUN LIKE ALEX WAS..CLEARLY IF ANDSERSON WANTS THE JOB GIVE IT TO HIM.....THE RATINGS WILL SKY ROCKET !!!!????????

  • Jackie - 3 years ago

Aaron Rodgers did a great job as did Mike Richards, Jennings was okay but had heard he was already signed up for another show. Anderson Cooper is too stiff & didn’t like how slow he seemed to be. Would stop watching with Cooper, Dr. Oz, Couric & Burton.
Aaron has a great voice & personally plus he has loved Jeopardy all his life just like some of the above. He also said he could do Jeopardy & football due to recording days & playing days.

  • Laura L Coffey - 3 years ago

I think Anderson Cooper is BY FAR the best! He has great expression and is so personable. I have loved watching him. He deserves the job!! The closest to Alex as I've seen yet!

  • Catdelight - 3 years ago

The Jeopardy audience is not woke. Stick with the conservative tradition or shut it down.

  • Cath - 3 years ago

    Fagacios behavior not wanted.

  • Irevelle - 3 years ago

I think it should be Ken J. or Mike R. They were more like Alex. Sure would hate to see Anderson be the host.

  • Bill - 3 years ago

Agree 100% with Linda, above. Mike is so far #1, closely followed by Anderson. Aaron was good, but not good enough. Katie is sweet but falls way short. Ken is the bomb as the best Jeopardy contestant ever, but he clearly is not host material. He gets it and I no longer tape the show so I don't miss an episode. Don't do it!!!

  • Fred - 3 years ago

Ken Jennings and Aaron Rodgers were the best by far, in my opinion.

  • Sheila Scott - 3 years ago

I think Anderson is doing a great job! Do not like Dr Oz or Ken Jennings

  • Sylvia - 3 years ago

Aaron Rodgers first and only ... then Ken Jennings ... any others will have Alex spinning in his grave. I for one will not watch Jeopardy until either of these have the permenant spot. I have been a fan for many years.

  • Kimberly Z - 3 years ago

Anderson Cooper is the man for the job he has great TV presents and professionalism, great smile and reminds me a lot of Alec trebek

  • Les - 3 years ago

Ken Jennings is GOAT and did a fantastic job hosting. I'll stop watching Jeopardy if Ken is not given the host position, at least for the first year. Aaron did a pretty good job. All the other guest host thus far were terrible .

  • B J Edelman - 3 years ago

My preference is Mike. He is personable, respectful and just a nice guy. He has a gentle way about him and seems to enjoy the interaction with contestants.
Definitely not Katie or Dr. Oz. I am looking forward to seeing how Levar Burton does, as well as any other guest hosts.

  • Beck - 3 years ago

I really liked Aaron Rodgers. He read the clues with clarity, and was personable, relaxed, and witty. Although I do like Anderson as well, I feel like he reads the categories and clues too quickly—with no comment. Anyone else missing how Alex would interject with a “fun fact” or humorous comment? Even when doing the contestant intros, Alex would crack me up with his dry sense of humor. In addition, Anderson’s pace stresses me out. So far my vote goes to Aaron. He’s the most likable to me. And he’s smart.

  • Mike Futer - 3 years ago

Arrogance of Levar is a no deal. I will stop watching if he is given the job.Aaron at least showed a sense of humor. He kept it light and fun..why does Levar feel he is owed the job? Mike Richards would be great if he wanted the job. Don't think he does. Do not give the job because nor keep someone from the job because of race. Please keep race a non-issue..

  • Val Evans - 3 years ago

I really like Anderson Cooper. It's almost like listening to Alex once again.

  • Linda hill - 3 years ago

Anderson is doing a great job.. the best so far was mike Richards he did an outstanding job.. Aaron was very good and the fans liked him. I don’t like Ken Jennings. He may be smart but really has no personality. I do know I’ve been watching for over 30 years I even tape the show if I know I’m going to be away, but if Ken Jennings gets this position I WILL NOT WATCH THIS SHOW ANY LONGER.. just telling you the truth..
my vote so far .. mike, Anderson then Aaron .. so far. Anderson has a great personality and is a very good host..

  • John - 3 years ago

    Cooper sux. Period.

  • A.K. Hanson - 3 years ago

No. Sorry don't like his life style. I would like to see Jon Kelly of "Funny You Should Ask." If he is not under a long contract from Byron Allen producer.

  • A.K. Hanson - 3 years ago

No. Sorry don't like his life style. I would like to see Jon Kelly of "Funny You Should Ask." If he is not under a long contract from Byron Allen producer.

  • Sue - 3 years ago

Anyone but Dr Oz and Ken Jennings. Not Katie either. The other 3 are all great!

  • Susan Schoonmaker - 3 years ago

Yes please Anderson Cooper he is intelligent gracious he has a great sense of humor and will treat all contestants equally and fairly

  • Carlos Casar - 3 years ago

Aaron Rogers is the best. He makes the show feel relaxed. Ken Jennings is good too. Levron Brown has to be the worst, self proclaimg himself is arrogant and opportunistic as we wants to cash on the current state of political correctness

  • Fayro - 3 years ago

Like Cooper. Has a good commanding voice. Some of the others voices were too soft. Mike or Ken are still the best so far.

  • Bernadette - 3 years ago

Anderson has been the best host. Having said that, I don’t want him to leave CNN. He has the perfect personality for both shows. ❤️

  • Kelly - 3 years ago

Cooper is the best. He was clear in what he was referring to, smooth transitions with each catalogue , light hearted when he was making a comments , and he related well with the contestants .

  • Joan Vicenzotti - 3 years ago

Anderson Cooper was the worst- Tried too hard but didn’t have a good. Connection with the contestants - he waited too long to tell them if they correct or not correct - was very boring - won’t watch if he is permanent replacement

  • SharonGreen - 3 years ago

Aaron Rodgers is my fav. Katie Couric second

  • Wally - 3 years ago

    Hell no.

  • Bob - 3 years ago

Aaron Rogers best. Cooper only has a couple of responses i. e. “ that’s right, that’s correct and we were looking for”. Really got boring listening to those comments thru all the shows.

My second choice so far is mike Richards. I put cooper just above last place dr oz.

  • Timothy Warneke - 3 years ago

Anderson Cooper is the worst! His timing is way off, and there's a long pause often before he tells a contestant he's right or wrong.
Then he cheerleads and says, "Way to go!" or something similar. He also seems smarmy when he interjects extra info after the contestant answers.

  • Susan A Miller - 3 years ago

I like Mike Richards the best so far, then Ken Jennings & then Anderson Cooper.

  • Kevin - 3 years ago

So far my vote is strongly for Aaron. Ken gets 2nd place. Let’s see what the others that are still to come bring.

  • Mike - 3 years ago

    LeVar Burton.
    That's is all.

  • Maria - 3 years ago

I'll stop watching Jeopardy if Cooper is host . Let him do his news crap. Jennings would be a slap in the face for Mr. Alex Trebek. We need a different face , and that's Aaron Roger's. He will be the next person that is fit to fill Alex Trebek's shoes. No one else deserves that spot.

  • Deborah Mariano - 3 years ago

Can't say anyone so far has turned me off and all have done a respectable job. My votev for permanent host s Ken Jennings the Aaron.

  • Cynthia Tenisci - 3 years ago

If Cooper is selected my years of watching Jeopardy are over.

  • CK Ellis - 3 years ago

All in for Ken Jennings. Anderson is watchable, but any of the others would make me a former viewer.

  • Joanna Connolly - 3 years ago

Aaron Rodgers is by far the the best. Anderson Cooper also very good but slow to tell contestants whether their answers are correct. Should be either one of those. None of the others were good enough.

  • Steve - 3 years ago

I think Ken Jennings should be the permanent host, Anderson Cooper is very boring he and Katie Couric are the two worst so far...

  • Barbara Dutko - 3 years ago

The A s have it! Either Aaron or Anderson.
    It follows the proven pattern.
Art, Alex, Aaron or Anderson. Sounds like a winner.

  • Cindy - 3 years ago

Michelle Obama, Lester Holt, or Shepard Smith would be enjoyable hosts. I am happy to see LeVar Burton has been given an opportunity; but why only 6 days?
Otherwise, thus far, my preference is Mike Richards; though, why would he want to go from being a producer to a host?

  • Elaine Germann - 3 years ago

I really think Mike Richards should be the permanent host. He was the best by far. He knows just how the host should act, since he is part of Jeopardy already.

  • Theresa - 3 years ago

I love watching Anderson with his baby but he could be distracted in the future spending time as single parent of means, he doesn't HAVE to work. Most people must work - not too many of us are independently wealthy. I really like him, he is a very soulful and compassionate man. Who knows how long TV will remain popular ?

  • Theresa - 3 years ago

  • Maria - 3 years ago

Anderson Cooper hands down should be the permanent Jeopardy host!!! Whoever suggested he be considered one of the interim host... Had a great idea, wonderful job all the way around!!!

  • Bonnie Sprague - 3 years ago

I like Anderson Cooper, but Aaron Rodgers has been the Best. I have been a long time Jeopardy fan and I think the use of all the guest hosts is taking away from the show. Fans want continuity . 1. Aaron Rodgers. 2.Mike Richard's, 3. Anderson Cooper. 4 Ken Jennings. Dr. Oz was ok , I was sorry to see comments against him that were political in nature.
Please DO NOT let the political divide in the Country enter the sanctity of this treasured program.

  • Deb - 3 years ago

I want to hear all of them but I loved Aaron. I am not a LaVar Burton fan. I have watched Jeopardy! since the Art Fleming days and loved Alex but depending on who is chosen is going to determine if I keep watching.

  • Yvonne Smith - 3 years ago

Anderson Cooper makes hosting Jeopardy look sooooo easy. He is cool and demonstrates the standards of the perfect person for the job.

  • Sandy - 3 years ago

Anderson Cooper is the worst by far in my opinion. He acts like it’s his show and not the contestants’. I love Jeopardy and never miss a show; but I won’t watch it if he’s the permanent hosts. We’ve had to say goodbye to Alex; I’d hate to have to say goodbye to the show too.

  • Lisa - 3 years ago

Anderson Cooper was not great as a host. He takes way too long to tell the contestants whether their answers were right or wrong. Super annoying. I’m really disappointed because I was fully expecting to like him. Conversely, I was totally expecting to hate Ken Jennings as host, but so far he & Aaron Rogers were my favorites. Anyone think Aaron Rogers is willing to give up a multimillion dollar football contract to host Jeopardy? We can only hope, lol.

  • Miladay - 3 years ago

Anderson has the voice and tone that makes him the perfect candidate to be the permanent host. He sounded so natural and relaxed.

  • Dave Labitzke - 3 years ago

Anderson Cooper did a good job, as all the guest hosts have done. I'll wait to see the others but Ken Jennings and Aaron Rodgers are definitely the front runners. I'd like to see the guest hosting run for another six months, maybe even longer. It's been fun and an honor to the great Alex Trebek. Looking forward to seeing Lavar Burton do the show!!

  • Suzanne - 3 years ago

Anderson Cooper has been the beat. He’s knowledgeable and his voice is clear and the right tone. He’s respectful too when they get the answer wrong. Ken needs to stick to being a amazing contestant, though he threw the first winning streak by blowing an easy question about FedEx. I think his voice is too weak and frankly he doesn’t have the personality to carry it - a face for radio as they say. liked the exec producer as well.

  • Edie - 3 years ago

I will stop watching Jeopardy if Cooper became the permanent host. He was a celebrity contestant and he performed poorly. It is pretentious of him to supplement the answers with extra information, as if he was so knowledgeable. That is boring.

  • Eileen - 3 years ago

Anderson Cooper had been terrific. But he’s great at CNN and that’s where he should stay. Make Ken Jennings permanent host.

  • K. Rant - 3 years ago

Anderson Cooper is a monotone host. Too busy to practice or review questions due to his other commitments. He is out of his element here. The only people that are fascinated by these news anchors are themselves and the network. Everyone else is wondering how they got their current jobs in the first place because they are so unappealing. Choose Ken Jennings or Mike the Jeopardy producer is a natural!!!

  • Doug - 3 years ago

No news anchors. I'm sick and tired of them. Aaron was the best. ...so was the executive producer that started this process

  • Toody - 3 years ago

Mike Richards. He has previous game show hosting experience

  • June Radford - 3 years ago

My favorite was Aaron Rodgers. Please if not Aaron, anyone but Lavar Burton..!!!!!!

  • Debbie - 3 years ago

Anderson was good, there were also one or two that were equally as good. I think either Mike Richards or Ken Jennings should host, they have the strongest ties with Alex and the show, they can do it with justice. I am not a fan of Levar Burton.

  • Ken - 3 years ago

Mr. Cooper did an admirable job as host. I don't know who all is left on the hosting list but I hope it includes Lester Holt of NBC news. I think he has the right blend of dryness and humor to try and fill Mr. Trebek's role.

  • Anide Gonzalez - 3 years ago

Anderson speaks clear. He will increase watchers.

  • Joan Tanguay Grande - 3 years ago

I was very pleasantly surprised with Anderson Cooper! He was lively and engaging. I voted undecided just because I want to see all of the guest hosts before making may final decision, however so far, Anderson is my favourite!

  • Amy - 3 years ago

Anderson is by far the best so far, but I’m waiting for Lavar Burton!

  • Teresa - 3 years ago

Anderson's Cooper, love that guy and best so far. His smooth, velvety voice, intelligence and personality would make Alex proud to pass the baton to him.

  • Joe Alonge - 3 years ago

I think this guest host is a big waste of time. There was more than enough time for you to groom someone to take over for Alex Trebeck. I'm not interested in continuing to watch the show as a regular, it's too monotonous. Please find a permanent host.

  • Yolanda smith - 3 years ago

His voice has been the best.

  • Gloria - 3 years ago

He is a natural, an awesome host.

  • PATRICIA HARDING - 3 years ago

When on CNN Anderson Cooper says You KNOW"
    UMPTEEN TIMES..
    NOT well rounded enuf.
    Keep looking
    Alex fan right from beginning.

  • Justina onwukwe - 3 years ago

All the hosts did great. However, the most humorous person is Anderson. He will increase watchers.

  • Nancy Weeniy - 3 years ago

Didn’t care for Anderson Cooper. His response to the
    Correct answers was awkward

  • Laverne - 3 years ago

Anderson is a natural. Speaks clearly and reads like Alex. He has a personality and a sense of humour.
For me he should be the next host
He should give up CNN. Jeopardy I think would allow him more time with that little cutie Wyatt. I think Alex would approve of Anderson as his replacement.
