NO LEFT-WING HATERS WHO MASQUERADE AS JOURNALISTS! No A. Cooper, No Stephanopoulus, No Couric...etc and any others you seem to have a preference for digging up. My wife and I will NOT watch the show again if you engage a host who is OPENLY HOSTILE to the millions of Conservative Americans who watch your show. These people have automatically SET THEMSELVES UP AGAINST Half of the country. You've already antagonized us with your foolish decision to engage them as guests. LR

  • Linda Reynolds - 3 years ago

Aaron Rogers the best! He is personable, nice looking, acts relaxed and has that killer smile! He gets my vote.

  • Ed Grove - 3 years ago

I watched the very first two weeks of the guest host. I was amazed how smooth, energetic, and confident this Michael Richards guy was. I was wondering where did they get this guy. He is the Executive Producer of Jeopardy. I also have watched every guest host since. By far, Michael Richards is the best to date 5/5/21. I think Anderson Cooper is a distant second. I'm thinking Joe Buck in August is going to give Michael Richards a run for his money. But my vote is for Michael Richards right now.

  • Kay - 3 years ago

Anderson Cooper has been the best guest host so far. Would love to see Brad Rutter get a chance. He was not only a great champion, but also has a great voice for tv. Shocked by all the people bringing politics into these comments. The hosts are not bringing politics to Jeopardy and never will. It's discouraging to see that so many Americans are filled with hate and actively promoting division. Stop obsessing about politics and your life will improve. Let's just enjoy Jeopardy. It's a wonderful show, and I'm sure the producers are doing their best to find a new permanent host. No one will replace Alex in our hearts, but we will still have Jeopardy if the viewers stop trying to kill it.

  • Nelson Laminack - 3 years ago

The ignorance and narrow-mindness of the commenters who insist on bringing politics into this decision are appalling. It smacks of the same mentality as the vaccine debate. Anderson Cooper gets my vote although he may not want a permanent position.

  • andrea amelung - 3 years ago

Thought the comment about liberals so funny. Is this the new way we rate people. Polotical views have nothing to do with Jepordy hosting. This is a crazy world we live in. The constant division will be our downfall
    Love Andreson. Thanks

  • Pam - 3 years ago

Would LOVE to see Tom Bergeron (former DWTS host) gets a shot at hosting. He’s so personable, fun, has a great voice & has hosting experience... (and he was screwed over royally by DWTS!) Think he’d be fabulous!

  • Ruth Ann Hopkin - 3 years ago

Why all the liberals? They have had nasty comments in the past.
    Now Bill?

  • Pat Fiske - 3 years ago

As much as I love Anderson Cooper, He will always be Mr. CNN to me. The minute Aaron Rodgers came on I instantly
said, "he's the one. He's not too hard to look at either.

  • Laurie K - 3 years ago

I am amazed at how many comments are anti Anderson Cooper. Saying he's too Liberal; as if politics would ever be mentioned on the show. And then threatening to stop watching. So childish.
My husband and I watch everyday. We miss Alex tremendously. But we will wait until all guest hosts are finished before making a decision. I would say so far we were least impressed by Aaron Rodgers. I'm always a little surprised when athletes seem to think they can automatically move over to T.V. ????

  • Kevin - 3 years ago

I like Anderson Cooper. He’s the only one I think I could tolerate every day. But someone earlier suggested LeVar Burton would be a good choice. I agree on that. He’s a smart guy and very likable. ????????

  • Mary L Simons - 3 years ago

Aaron Rogers. Comfortable, excellent catalyst drawing out contestants. Rhythm is good---senses tempo of show. For example the board is cleared.
Couric good but a little low key. Cooper enjoyable. Dr. Oz annoying. Looking forward to others but Rogers is the guy! Surprise to me hut the clear choice. It's all in that timing.

  • Jumi - 3 years ago

Choose someone that will stand the test of time. The new host should not be based on a popularity contest as that choice might flame out after a few episodes/season and the show will be in the awkward PR position of explaining why they have to make another change. Guest hosts so far: Mike Richards: most comfortable with the job, has the look and the voice for the job (makes sense as he is the EP and knows the job); Ken Jennings: understands the gravitas of the job, respects the institution and would not embarrass the show; his voice pitch needs to be a little deeper though; maybe it was just nerves or the pressure of being the 1st guest host; at least give him another try as guest host; Not a big fan of overt campaigns for the job -- the focus should be on the contestants and not the pizzazz of the host. As a long-time viewer, I would say select someone who is cerebral, yet not condescending; is genial; has good voice projection and pacing (this gives TV anchors an edge), and finally, just as you would leave space in a pan for dough to rise in the oven, leave space for an unexplainable factor tat would seal the deal.

  • Joan Mullen - 3 years ago

    Mike, Anderson Cooper, Aaron Rodgers.

  • Deborah - 3 years ago

Aaron Rogers is a natural. He enjoys hosting brings levity to the show.

  • Fred - 3 years ago

    Few comments on each...
Ken Jennings. Very good but the voice is not right.
Mike Richards; Very smooth, a very good choice.
"Doctor Oz" ; No reason to have him try. Tolerable but not on an everyday basis
Katie Couric: Just looked out of place.
Aaron Rogers: Found him dull and mostly lifeless. Better off playing football. His popularity and stature as a football player is why so many favour him. Will take Jennins over Rogers though.
Anderson Cooper: Politics aside, the ",mature" look is what the show needs, and his delivery style is much like Alex's
Will wait. This show needs the "mature" look for its host. We will see how the much-demanded LeVar Burton, whom I think will be the permanent host. The producers are saving him for last.

  • Jennifer - 3 years ago

Anderson Cooper is by far the best choice as the next Jeopardy host. His voice, pacing, humor and personality..along with his looks are perfect for Jeopardy. The others were ok, but some simply spoke too fast and seemed as if they were just reading questions with no interest. Please choose Anderson Cooper.

  • Joseph A Tamashasky - 3 years ago

If Anderson Cooper is the successor to Alex Tribek it would be an insult to Alex. Cooper is an elitist liberal member of the media and has no place in entertainment television. His selection would end many years, decades, of my watching Jeoprady.

  • Linda hill - 3 years ago

DO NOT PLEASE IM BEGGING YOU PICK KEN JENNINGS.
He may be smart but has no personality..
mike was the best then Anderson and then Aaron..
Ken and dr oz are not good choices..
if Jennings gets this position I will stop watching. Been watching over 30 years.. please please take heed to this..
    thank you for listening

  • Laurie J Rupert - 3 years ago

It's interesting to read all of the comments about the guest hosts. I have one huge problem with the comments. The problem is in regards to the number of snide remarks about various guest hosts. If someone is not a fan of one of them, say that or something similar. Why would intelligent and well-mannered individuals insult a guest host and, what seemed like a threat, say they would never watch the show they love, if certain individuals become the permanent host?
Some people just have no class.

  • Joanie Brandt - 3 years ago

I love Jeopardy and miss Alex Trebek. That being said:
I didn't like Ken Jennings at all as he wanted to be the star. His voice is all wrong.
Michael was quite good, but I must say that Aaron Rodgers was the best. He was relaxed, well spoken, and a viewer could see the fun that he was having, and more importantly, the contestants were having. I think the show would remain a "hit" with him as the host.
None of the others have impressed me. Good luck in making your decision.

  • Linda Testerman - 3 years ago

I will never watch Jeopardy again if You or Cooper becomes the host

  • Ani - 3 years ago

    Anderson Cooper is the greatest.
Timing good and he talks quickly and you can understand every word. Most like Alex Trabeck!
The fact that he speaks fast allows contestants to complete the full board. And he gets better each time!

  • Jack Hogan - 3 years ago

Mike Richards gets out household vote for the next host of Jeopardy
Our second choice would be either Ken Jennings or Aaron Rogers. Andrson Cooper would be tolerable, but he needs to "loden up" more and be more congenial.
Neither Dr Oz not Katie Coric are worthy of consideration. We don't see any news on the list of hosts yet to come who we are anxious to see . It is time to make a selection and move forward!

  • John Moore - 3 years ago

Alex seemed to respect and like both Ken Jennings and James Holzhauer above all other JEOPARDY! contestants. I would imagine he would have listed what qualities he would like to see in his replacement. I would hope the permanent replacement host would have direct ties to Alex and both these candidates are the only people I would like to see assume that role. Holzhauer has not been a guest host but would make an outstanding permanent host. They both have the knowledge and dignity the position requires. No one can ever replace Alex but there has to be a new permanent host.

  • Susanne - 3 years ago

Let’s face it, NO ONE will ever fill Alex Trebeck’s shoes as new permanent host. We all have our favorites. But, to say you’ll never watch again if so and so is chosen is just plain stupid. You’re not a die hard Jeopardy fan if you feel that way. I’m SURE Alex has left them know who HE’D like seeing take his place and in the end, I hope he did and I hope that’s who is chosen. SO FAR, Mike Richards is my favorite, but even if Cookie Monster ends up doing it, I’ll never stop watching. If for any reason, I’ll continue watching to honor Alex’s memory. R.I.P. Alex. You are sorely missed and will be forever.

  • Steven Sosnowitz - 3 years ago

Fleabag is not worthy of our time. I’m not surprised no one knew the answer. It just goes to show that Anderson Cooper is a one per center and not in touch with regular people. Ken Jennings never.

  • Steven Sosnowitz - 3 years ago

Fleabag is not worthy of our time. I’m not surprised no one knew the answer. It just goes to show that Anderson Cooper is a one per center and not in touch with regular people.

  • Pat - 3 years ago

I think your ruining this show with all these people! I think Ken Jennings would be perfect as host.. knows the game and isn’t so full of himself.Aaron Rodgers is not liked by a lot of football fans !! Not him.. don’t want all these political ones !! Keep it a game show that’s what Alex would have wanted!

  • Jill - 3 years ago

Would never watch if Cooper gets the job to political and i watch shows to get away and relax from politics...
Take a hint from the award shows and some of the sport games...
Politics and TV shows dont mix

  • Rita - 3 years ago

Anderson has been a pleasure to watch. Aaron Rodgers was also great. I feel either one of these two would make Alex proud. I don’t care for LeVar or Couric or Dr Oz.

  • Barbara A Munzert - 3 years ago

No way Aaron Rogers fits in! So rehearsed and full of himself! No personality whatsoever! He just needs a job!! Anderson and Ken are the best fits so far! Both genuine , not pretentious, and have a way to interact on the same level with contestants. They make the situation comfortable for all!

  • Sarah Waters - 3 years ago

All of these people threatening to NEVER, EVER watch Jeopardy again if a certain host is hired are so overdramatic. I'm sure they have the producers shaking in their boots, lmao.

  • Ron Tracy - 3 years ago

Objectively: Anderson Cooper is quite Droll. Emits no obvious warmth. Not very engaging.

Subjectively: He is one of the lead anchors on a very controversial left wing opinion show. I've been watching
Jeopardy along with the NFL, MLB, and NBA for most of my adult life. I use to find them an effective escape
from the turmoil in the world..I have already given up on Pro Sports (too political) and Jeopardy would be
next on the list. I'm not comfortable being in the same room with Anderson Cooper.

  • Phil - 3 years ago

Will NEVER watch Jeopardy again if Anderson’cooper or Katie curick or however you spell her name are hosts I want to ESCAIE politics abs these two are FULL OF HATE!

  • Mary - 3 years ago

Love Mike Richards first, then Anderson. Both great clear speakers! A few more to go, but not impressed with the upcoming names.

  • MaryLu Walk - 3 years ago

Anderson is a natural. I hope he would take the job if offered.

  • Mrs. BG Borchers - 3 years ago

Loved Aaron Rodgers with Ken Jennings a good second. Never (!) Anderson, Curic or Oz. My husband and I will not lose a wink of sleep if we give up Jeopardy!!!

  • Regina Cornelius - 3 years ago

Aaron Rogers is the absolute best host to me. He is very cool, composed, and gives Jeopardy a very comfortable feel. Ken Jennings was very good. Not Katie Couric. As much as we all love Lavar Burton, a petition should not give anyone an unfair advantage over the other respected guest hosts. Mr. Burton should only be considered by how he stacks up to the other hosts.

  • Marti Pitts - 3 years ago

If Anderson Cooper is chosen I will never watch Jeopardy again. I have watched for all my adult life. But never will watch Cooper. I loved Arron and loved ken

  • Margaret Curtis - 3 years ago

Definitely Ken Jennings! No one else compares.....besides being the best Jepardy player ever

  • Mary - 3 years ago

If Anderson Cooper or any news or talk show host becomes permanent host I will quit watching Jeopardy forever.

  • Jessie - 3 years ago

Anderson or Mike. Prefer the commanding, take charge voices.

  • Mrsl louise sherwood - 3 years ago

I would like to see as host of jeopardy is kent Jennings he seems very annimated ,and has a great sense of humor, and yet very intriguing knowledge of the game and yet spontaneous that will make the jeopardy show so incredibly ,interesting to watch .

  • donald jones - 3 years ago

if anderson is made the host ME, my Family, and everyone I know will NEVER WATCH THE SHOW AGAIN.????

  • Tana - 3 years ago

Not a fan of the these guest hosts as a premise for finding a permanent host! For a few short weeks. Enough already! We knew Alex was going to die and a replacement should already have been planned. We greatly miss him. Be dine with all this hoopla and let's move on. A great show is at stake.

  • Carolyn - 3 years ago

Ken Jennings is my choice! Personable.
    Arron Rodgers is too boring.
    Anderson Cooper is OK
The others or not even worth commenting on.
I know there are a few more yet to consider, so time will tell.

  • Kittie - 3 years ago

My husband and I would love you to choose Anderson Cooper. He is confident and at ease. He’s our favorite so far.

  • Joyce - 3 years ago

The powers that be should stop torturing the viewers with the guest hosts and make a choice.

  • Patricia Herdzik - 3 years ago

I would Love Anderson Cooper as the new host. Such a natural warm inviting person with a great voice! I don’t want his week to end. I was loving Aaron until Anderson came on. The best so far.

  • Catherine martin - 3 years ago

    Not Katie PLEASE

  • Howard Loveland - 3 years ago

Ken Jennings was far better than any of the others to date. Possibly Aaron Rodgers might be okay. I would never watch the program if Anderson Cooper was the host

  • Patriciai Sherrill - 3 years ago

    Like ken
    Not katie
    Cooper has the good voice
    Not lavar
    Richards good
    Not steohanplopulos
    Interested in seeing bialik
    Nice variety
    Good choices...win win

  • Vincent wells - 3 years ago

Anderson needs to go in have not watched much these last to weeks he very full of himself ????????????

  • Susie Roberts - 3 years ago

I can’t stand to watch Katie Couric or Anderson Cooper I would like Mike Richards or Aaron Rogers. Aaron was a surprise I thought he was very good better than I suspected.

  • Maria - 3 years ago

Will only watch if Ken Jennings will host the show.. Aaron Rodgers is too sleepy and boring. Don't like Anderson Cooper and won't watch him host or Katie Couric for that matter.

  • Beatriz Tomlinson - 3 years ago

Aaron Rodgers, yes please. He is calm, cool and collected and honors Trebeck's style and memory. Love to watch him as he loves to host (play) the game.

  • Jean - 3 years ago

No to tv celebrities. Mike Richards, Ken Jennings, or Aaron Rogers are fine. Will not watch if Anderson Cooper or Katie Couric are chosen.

  • Margaret Schlaepfer - 3 years ago

Aaron Rodgers is my choice. He's more relaxed and down to earth than all the other guest hosts. He has a nice smile and it looks like he was really enjoying hosting the show. It's a new experience for him but he did a great job and he will always be my favourite. It's the first time I've ever seen or heard of him but he was perfect for the job.

  • Perry - 3 years ago

Aaron Rodgers and Ken Jennings both make the grade. I was very surprised of how Aaron handled the show. Kind of torn in selection of the two. They just need more time on the air or they can be the dynamic duo.

  • Jan Hopkins - 3 years ago

This is tough, but rhythm is important in this type of show. I don'tt feel that Katie Couric and Aaron Rodgers have it, although they are nice people.

  • Margaret - 3 years ago

Aaron Rodgers is the absolute best choice. Of all the hosts, he brings back so much of what Alex brought to the show. His personality is outstanding, without detracting from the contestants. His humility is a plus, as well.
Mike Richard's is too full of himself. As much as I like and appreciate Ken Jennings intelligence, he just doesn't bring any sparkle to the show. The others are just NO.

  • Larry Rifkin - 3 years ago

I will NOT watch Jeopardy again if Anderson Cooper or “dr” Oz are named hosts.
Not too big of a fan of Ken (he IS knowledgeable.. I will give him that, but I don’t think he has the personality to be permanent host).
I liked Aaron .. yet not sold on his promotion to Host.
Jury is still out .. yet the One Thing that is obvious .. Alex (RIP) can not be replaced!!!

  • Kaye - 3 years ago

Mike Richards or Aaron Rodgers!!! NO TO KEN JENNINGS------too smirky,"know it all".

  • Debbie - 3 years ago

Anderson Cooper does an excellent job! He is at ease with the contestants and also excellent reading the questions, which I would muddle for sure. Yes, I know he gets help. I do think Anderson has his plate full already in his life, so I won’t be too bummed if someone else is chosen. I don’t care if someone is red, yellow, black, white, gay, straight or any and everything in between. I know we really can’t lose with the ones being considered.

  • Ann P. Lee - 3 years ago

If Anderson Cooper is made host of Jeopardy, my husband and I will NEVER watch the show again!!! Cooper is an egotistical idiot! Of those who have auditioned thus far, our choices are Dr. Oz, Mike Richards or Ken Jennings in that order!

  • Ann P Lee - 3 years ago

I would NEVER watch Jeopardy again if Anderson Cooper, Aaron Rodgers or Katie Couric chosen as the permanent host! My preference at this point is Dr. Oz, who I have NEVER WATCHED before until NOW, but I would be content if Ken Jennings chosen as the permanent host!

  • Fina Rodriguez - 3 years ago

I really, and sorry for my opinion, don't like the attitude of LeVar. People signing a petition to make him a permanent Host, and ignoring all the Guests Host, who are doing their best to compete fairly. And, I can see it clearly, 200.000 plus signature and if he's not chosen, that wiil be a racist thing. I from Aruba, I Love Alex Trebek, but please don't decide by total signatures, or 'I want this' or I'm the one, but by Personality, and humility above all. Thank you. Have a nice day.

  • Arlene Ryan - 3 years ago

NO! to Anderson Cooper. Will not watch him ever. We have watched Jeopardy since the very first show & Ken Jennings is best. Aaron Rodgers & Michael Richards tie for second. Anderson Cooper pauses too much. He's trying to think of something clever to say. It's not about him. As Alex said, "the contestants are the stars of the show". He doesn't get that. We'll watch the remainder of hosts, who are all fine we're sure, but won't change our opinion.

  • Lana Rollins - 3 years ago

As much as I love Jeopardy I will not continue to watch Anderson Cooper!

  • suzy smith - 3 years ago

By the third episode of each guest host's tour of duty they seem to hit their strides.

  • Judy - 3 years ago

I really like Anderson Cooper as a journalist however, in the beginning, I didn't really care for him as Jeopardy host. I felt he was too methodical and authoritative. My view has changed. He now seems relaxed, has a great sense of humor and so far for me, it's between Ken Jennings and Anderson Cooper.
