Should face masks in school be stopped on May 17?

In years to come we will look back on our treatment of children- and the elderly- with utter shame. These people saying ‘follow the science’ should actually do that: there is no evidence that mask wearing in schools has any significant effect in slowing transmissions, and growing evidence of the multiple harms they do to children’s development, health and education. People are so irrationally scared that they are letting themselves behave like selfish monsters.

Follow the science, don't make it political.

I whole heartedly support the wearing of masks in schools until such time as science deems it safe to stop. Anything else is truly irresponsible.

Why everyone is so desperate to rush away from everything that’s a minor annoyance or discomfort when this has gone on for over a year I’ll never know. It’s still out there. Keep them until it’s all but gone.
