I watched every episode and I would have to say Bill Whitaker has the voice to be the host of Jeopardy. He really enjoyed doing it as I could see it in his eyes. He maybe a little soft spoken but the flow in which his words were precisely delivered are impeccable. The others that participated except for 1 either begged to be the host or whined about it and most of them used it as a platform to enhance their careers. That State Farm guy nice but not this hosting job, I think you'd be great on Family Feud when Steve's contract is up or Let's Make a Deal after Wayne moves on. Now Katie C. if they changed the platform where the audience was involved more she would be the best choice, but I do not think this would be a good move on the shows ratings but what do I know I'm just a instacrit_x.

Buzzy all the way. Personable, intelligent, looks and knows the part. Alex would be proud.
Ken Jennings a very close second. All others appear to be amateurs.

  • Glenda Wynkoop - 3 years ago

Aaron Rogers, he seems to enjoy the roll more than anyone! Ken not so much.

  • Deb R - 3 years ago

I like Aaron and Buzzy!! Ultimately, I think Brad Nutter (a GOAT) would be awesome and I’ve been wondering if he was considered or if he isn’t ready to give up the possibility of never being on Jeopardy! again. He’s got a great personality!

  • john - 3 years ago

    hands down'''''''''''''''KEN JENNINGS

  • Barbara - 3 years ago

Mike Richards. He's a real natural. Bill whittaker was the most like Trebek and I liked him very much too.

  • BlueLake - 3 years ago

Bill W was boring. Anderson C was very smooth and the best at interviewing the contestants. But I agree about keeping the news casters away. After so many years watching them cover serious, often tragic stories, hosting a game show seems like a bad fit.
Mike Richards was very smooth and kept the focus off of himself and on the show, just as Trebec did.

  • Patti - 3 years ago

I agree with Linda @ Noelle, Aaron Rodgers is easy on the eyes & funny, too! He's my pick!
Why would you need to ask Aaron's coaches & teammates?
At least he doesn't have political baggage as Anderson & Couric have! ????

  • Philip Angerhofer - 3 years ago

Ken Jennings did the best job.

  • Eileen Herbert Herbert - 3 years ago

Mike Richards or Ken Jennings - happy with either . Long game show experience - Mike Richards over 20 yrs .
Didn't look or act like they were auditioning for the job. If I had to choose one , it would be Mike Richards.

  • Marcy Baha - 3 years ago

Please no Bill. Monotone drove me crazy. No Katie, too snobby and Anderson good lord no. Ken so far. Is the best one. Will have to see the remaining guess hosts

  • Tom Hahn - 3 years ago

    Ken Jennings

  • Deb - 3 years ago

Absolutely Ken Jennings only hands down no decision should be made other than that and when you think about it he's the only one that truly knows the answers before he reach the questions

  • Christine - 3 years ago

Aaron Rodgers or Mike Richards. Bill Whitaker, PLEASE NO!! I'd rather stick myself through the eye. So Boring!!

  • Linda - 3 years ago

Please keep the political newscaster out of Jeopardy. I don't want Jeopardy to be a forum for Katie or Anderson...they don't respect anyone who doesn't follow their beliefs.
The first host-Jeopardy Producer was outstanding. Aaron was hard to often understand no matter how much we turned up the volume or replayed the questions. Bill is good but not much rapport with contestants & audience...he souds like he's reading the telepromter for the news. Please keep Jeopardy's high standards. There isn't anything else we'd rather watch.

  • CJ - 3 years ago

Ken Jennings. I really really liked him the best. Hes greatest player and host. My opinion Alex would be proud to have him as predecessor

  • Michaela - 3 years ago

Big NO on Bill Whittaker. His personality is as flat as his voice is numbing. Alex was gifted at promoting the guests, but he still had a twinkle, sense of humor, and some spice to his repartee.
Aaron Rogers was THE ONE who exhibited these qualities.

  • Pauline - 3 years ago

Pick somebody and move on...stop trying to make sombody Alex.
    Pauline

  • Beverly - 3 years ago

Aaron Rodgers or Mike Richard's do not like Ken Jenning boring just because he was on the show as a Contestant the longest .Doesn't not mean Alex liked him the most .He really like the Contestant from Vegas now that's personality .

  • Nancy Stairs - 3 years ago

Ken Jennings or Mike Richards could carry on the tradition.

  • Dottie Gillwald - 3 years ago

Oh no, not Bill ! Nice guy but his voice puts you to sleep sooner or later!
    My choice is Ken, Aaron!
    Heavens forbid Dr Oz !

  • BMB - 3 years ago

    Ken Jennings

  • Susan Nelson - 3 years ago

Mike Richards and then Aaron Rogers so far. Will wait and see what the remaining 'guest host's ' bring ! ????

    Thanks for listening to us.
    Susan

  • Celia Sullivan - 3 years ago

A BIG NOOOOO for Bill Whitaker! He doesn't have the right personality or demeanor to carry the show. And a big complaint for all of the guest hosts: when the contestants give the right answer, the host should say "yes" or "correct" instead of delaying with so many other forms of agreement. Best one so far is Aaron.

  • Celia Sullivan - 3 years ago

  • Wendy Drake - 3 years ago

Aaron Rodgers would be the best host. He has a great personality. Ken Jennings is too boring.

  • Jan moody - 3 years ago

Loved Ken Jennings and Mike Richards seemed a natural.
    Maybe alternate weekly or monthly

  • Darrell - 3 years ago

    Ken Jennings
Just don't let PC police decide

  • Suzy Matthews - 3 years ago

I thought Mike Richards did a great job. I, also, loved Aaron Rogers!

  • Nathelle Norfleet - 3 years ago

    Aaron Rodger's is THE BEST!!!

  • Mario Benavides - 3 years ago

Aaron Rogers is far and away my favorite. He's intelligent and so likeable. Basically the same qualities Alex had but with his own personality. A breath of fresh air.

  • JohnD - 3 years ago

Bill Whitaker is the most professional and the most “Alex-esque”. Anderson Cooper is way too smug, and Aaron Rogers was by far the most annoying guest host so far!

  • Jean - 3 years ago

Aaron Rogers is my first choice
Bill Whitaker was boring. We need energy and a sense of humor.

  • chrysy - 3 years ago

Aaron Rogers should be the permanent jeopardy host. He was amazing

  • Margo D - 3 years ago

I like the guest hosts but I truly think that Jeopardy is missing out on a fabulous candidate - Scott Hanson from NFL RED ZONE is the perfect choice for this show. He is bright, articulate, funny, witty, a very decent person and would be a total asset to Jeopardy and a tribute the wonderful Alex Trebek.

  • T - 3 years ago

    Aaron Rogers please!!!

  • Donna - 3 years ago

Aaron Rodgers was the absolute best so far. He has excellent rapport with contestants, fast wit, and presents as a genuinely likeable guy. I also enjoyed Mike Richards a lot.
My vote would be a hard no to Ken Jennings as a permanent host, even though I respect him as a contestant.

  • Ann Thoenes - 3 years ago

Aaron Roger's would be my first choice! All the rest so far pale in comparison. I'm intrigued to see Malim though.

  • Marge Wilson - 3 years ago

I'd like to see Aaron Rodgers head the list. He is very personable & seemed quite comfortable as the host. Bill Whittaker did a good job, even though he is a news man, he wasn't portraying that role as a drama like many in that field. I don't think Dr. OZ should even be a consideration

  • Jane - 3 years ago

I really liked Mike Richards, Aaron Rodgers and Ken Jennings.. Bill Whittaker was really calm.. Anderson Cooper did great too..
The only other one I want to see is LeVar Burton.. he has been amazing in any role he has played and is very intelligent..
Just want the guest host thing to be done..

  • John Quirino - 3 years ago

AARON Rodgers gets my vote to be the permanent host of Jeopardy..

  • Lucia knudsen - 3 years ago

He has been the most boring of all guest hosts. Worse that. Oz

  • Carol Conroy Zanio - 3 years ago

Mike Richards is my 1st choice, then Ken Jennings, then Aaron Rodgers

  • SLW - 3 years ago

My favorite guests hosts have been Aaron Rogers, Bill Whitacre and Mike Richards. While I personally like Ken Jennings, he’s missing that extra “spark” needed to be the permanent host.

  • Jessica - 3 years ago

Bill Whitaker is a little dull. I was surprised at how much I enjoyed Aaron Rodgers! I'd be happy with him. I always thought Ken Jennings was annoying. Looking forward to LeVar Burton!

  • Lorietha Causey - 3 years ago

I like Bill Whitaker as permanent host.

  • Roy R - 3 years ago

Ken Jennings is Mt absolute first choice.

  • Roy R - 3 years ago

Ken Jennings is Mt absolute first choice.

  • Hollie - 3 years ago

I thought Aaron Rodgers was the absolute worst. Every one of my family and friends agree. If he gets it, I will no longer watch. He sounded so blah. I thought most of the others were ok. Probably Mike Richards was the best. Ken Jennings was good but a little Annoying. Anderson cooper was good once he got his groove on. I even like Katie Couric. Dr oz, nope.

  • Disenchanted Jeopardy Fan - 3 years ago

Tired of the parade if guest hosts. Only the unfortunate Dr. Oz was worse than Mike Richards and Aaron Rodgers. Hope there will be a better choice than them. Jeopardy is no longer an every day must see...sadly losing interest.

  • Chris Wetzel - 3 years ago

Please please please BRING BACK KEN!!!!

  • Noël Dudley - 3 years ago

Aaron Rodgers is my pick. I looked forward to seeing him host. His voice was good, he was well prepared, & good to look at!

  • Richard and Janet Dankert - 3 years ago

    MIKE RICHARDS!!!!!

  • Carol Ichinose - 3 years ago

Don't like anyone so far. Can't wait for Buzzy. Weird how it's just a game show but what a difference a host makes

  • Dorothy McCall - 3 years ago

Mike Richards by far the best. I thought Dr Oz did an amazing job, but there seems to be a lot of opposition to him. Did not care for any others so far. Would like to see James Holzhauer (?) given a chance and agree that Brooke Burns would make an excellent choice. She is so good on THE CHASE
But whoever you choose, get on other it and stop all the guest hosting

  • Jacqueline Stewart - 3 years ago

I really liked the comfort and ease that Aaron Rodgers maintained during his two weeks. Because Mike Richards is unavailable to stand behind the podium full time, my vote would be for Aaron with Anderson Cooper as my runner up

  • Juanita - 3 years ago

Please! Anyone but Ken Jennings! He is dull, and adds no spark to Jeopardy.

  • Debbie Wallace - 3 years ago

My pick would be Ken Jennings. Alex so admired this man during his run on the show and afterwards. Ken to me would be tops on my list.

  • Joan Mullen - 3 years ago

Thought Anderson Cooper was really good but as I don't watch American T.V. don't understand the comments about his political biasis, but he sure seemed good to me. Ken Jennings was a bit too cocky for me.

  • Lynn S. - 3 years ago

I think Ken Jennings is best for the shows host. Mike Richards would come in second. Bill Whitaker has a very pleasant voice, a great friendly smile . In my opinion future host guests are not necessary.

  • Gayle B - 3 years ago

I am so ready to move forward with a host that will carry on Alex's legacy & dignity and be done with the guest host position. Mike Richard's did a great job but he is doing an amazing job as executive producer and needs to stay there. Ken Jennings did honor to the position as was expected, and Aaron Rogers pleasantly surprised me with his very classy control of the podium. I don't recall guest hosts when Art Fleming stepped down before Alex took over, so I say make a decision and move on. Aaron would be my 1st pick & I'd be fine with Ken because I don't think anyone will do any better than either of them. So move forward and let's allow someone else start their own legacy.

  • Dave - 3 years ago

I'm what you would call a dedicated jeopardy fan. If bill Whitaker is given the Job as permanent host, I'm through watching the show. I vote for Mike Richards.

  • Lorraine - 3 years ago

I really liked Ken Jennings however Mike Richards is a close second. Aaron Rogers was too full of himself. Anderson Cooper would also be great but would his schedule be flexible enough to get him to agree?

  • Janet Baldwin - 3 years ago

Bill Whitaker put me to sleep with his calm, monotone voice. It's good for interviewing people but not as a Game Show Host. My choices are (1) Mike Richard's. (2) Aaron Roger's (3) Anderson Cooper. Katie was too over the top and Ken just grates with his voice and snark.

  • Jan p - 3 years ago

Ken Jennings is my pick. He is aware of how the show works.

  • Liz - 3 years ago

I think the best, most natural one so far was Mike richards. However I must admit my second choice is Anderson Cooper. He was surprisingly amazing too! So far my list of choices is... Mike richards, Anderson cooper,Dr.oz,and Ken Jennings.

  • Richard Hoffman - 3 years ago

Mike Richards was so natural and comfortable in the role, he was the best so far. Mr. Whitaker would be my second choice.

  • Susan Catron - 3 years ago

I felt Aaron Rodgers made the show fun and interesting. My second choice is Mike Richards.

  • Tony - 3 years ago

I like Aaron Rodgers, Mike Richards, Anderson Cooper and Ken Jennings the best. Any one of them would do a great job. Maybe do a rotation of 3 or 4 months at a time, amongst the top 4, as they all have other commitments, a permanent gig would be too much of a burden on their other careers. Still looking forward to the remaining possibilities, I think Cohen could be a hoot, probably to volatile... we'll see.

  • Nancy J Sanborn - 3 years ago

My favorites are Anderson Cooper, Aaron rodgers, Mike richards, and Ken Jennings in that order

  • Betty Simmons - 3 years ago

Brooke Burns would bring the personality, warmth and intelligence needed to host Jeopardy. She should be given a chance to cohost Jeopardy before the final decision is made.

  • vicki bender - 3 years ago

loved when Aaron Roger's was the host, he provided a fresh young approach to the show, all the others we've seen in current or former roles, so we know who they are Aaron just brings a whole new fun to the show.

  • Janice kryshka - 3 years ago

Aaron Rogers is the best. He blends personality, charm and intelligence. He brings warmth and is relaxing as well as smart. Let's give a younger host a chance.!

  • Robert - 3 years ago

Bill Whitaker has pretty bad delivery of the questions. Dr oz was also a bad host. Aaron Rodgers did a fantastic job and Ken Jennings did quite well too.

  • Donna - 3 years ago

I only liked Aaron Rodgers. If it is Ken Jennings, I will NEVER watch Jeopardy again after the disgusting comments he made about people in the Midwest. He needs to keep his political views private if he wants to be a host of a national show. He is guilty of a huge dose of self importance.

  • Richard packard - 3 years ago

Mike Richards my choice.so in tune with the workings of the show.

  • Katie - 3 years ago

I really liked Mike Richard's! He had an upbeat and comfortable demeanor on stage.
Also... how about maybe Brooke Burns.
She was great at the Chase. And Master Minds. She has a great confident voice. And a change to women host may be the best way to embrace Jeopardy without Alex. Make it more of a change than replacement. Alex is irreplaceable!

  • Peg - 3 years ago

Although Bill Whitaker is good, I favor either Ken Jennings or (much to my surprise, Aaron Rodgers). Definitely NO to Dr. Oz!!

  • Victoria Parisio - 3 years ago

Please choose either Ken Jennings or Aaron Rodgers they both have what it takes to do this job. I will not watch this show if someone is chosen who has put a petition out there and constantly keeps pushing that they are the only perfect person for this job. Or has their own agenda and platform they now could speak from. I want to be able to watch this show and have fun doing so, not hate it. Those two that I mentioned above would be good and be in the background like Alex was because the guests were always in the spotlight. But they would make it fun. Thank you for listening.

  • Shirlee Ann Miller - 3 years ago

Why has no one ever suggested Brooke Burns?
She was a marvelous host with The Chase and does a great job with Masterminds.
She has a great personality and is very smart and very likeable.
As far as the current choices, I think Mike Richards was the best guest host, with Aaron Rogers as a second choice. I like Ken Jennings but I think his personality is grating and he is not naturally at ease with people. I rhink he is awkward.
I think all of these guest hosts are offputting and find that my husband and I (serial Jeopardy watchers) are losing interest.

  • Anita - 3 years ago

Kept thinking of Mr. Roger's Neighborhood. . . Bill's voice is too soothing. I like Aaron and Mike as they seem alive and engrossed in the game, not themselves.

  • LJ - 3 years ago

Mike Richard's comfort showed right up, but his behind the scenes experience gave him the edge. Aaron Rodgers leadership experience helped him to bring the smooth friendliness the show has had with Alex . Ken Jennings took a few shows to find the comfort zone for him and the contestants and the he was excellent. Everyone else was just too stiff regardless of how much they smiled. Except for Katie Couric. But she was over the top. She'd be more qualified for a game show with a lot of cheering by the contestants and audience.

  • Michele - 3 years ago

Please please choose Ken Jennings!! He is definitely the best out of all of them so far and the one person I truly believe Ales Trebeck would be happy taking his place. Some of the others were ok but Ken Jennings truly knows the show and fits right in. I can see him having a very long future there. Many say Aaron Rogers but I feel he is not really a good fit for long term and not dependable. Ken Tigers is much more suitable for this job. I hope you will really really consider him FIRST!!

  • Elizabeth - 3 years ago

Enough of the name and character bashing

    Not a popularity contest

We ALL know who Alex would have chosen

Let's just get back on tract and have a permanent host already !!!!

  • michael gassman - 3 years ago

I say no. Nice guy but puts you to sleep.

    I still say Rogers.

  • ACS - 3 years ago

    Mike Richard's #1 Aaron #2..
These are the only two to consider
. There will never be another Alex but the show must and will gi on so just give us one of these two great hosts..

  • Joan Rockwell - 3 years ago

Ken Jennings is the best replacement, and Mik we would be second choice. Both are very smart and likeable with enough humor thrown in at times.

  • Laura atkisson - 3 years ago

Ken Jennings is the best..by choosing ken Jennings it will always, be a reminder of our love Alex Trebek.. ken is a continuation /part of Alex trebek..there is a bond between the 2 of them.. Seeing ken jennings daily if chose, will feel as we will see trebek next day.. will always feel that way..please choose Jennings., for the memory of Alex Trebek..please
Other host regardless will never fill the void of alex not coming back.. please hire Ken jennings.. seeing him is " like" seeing alex trebek. For his memory..

  • Valerie - 3 years ago

    1) Aaron Roger's voice personality
    2) Katie Couric warmth
Looking forward to seeing LaVar Burton
Sorry but did not care for Ken . His voice was irritating, found him hard to listen to

  • Valerie - 3 years ago

Honestly as a dedicated Jeopardy fan, I found BW very pleasant & more like AT in his presentation. Also, KJ, MR, AC & KC all did a good job. Mr. Trebeck probably left us with his own preferences??? We’ll just have to wait & see ...who it will be. BW’s intonations reflected more of AT style, hmmm???!!

  • Chloe - 3 years ago

I’ve been watching Jeopardy since Alex started hosting in 1984. I record it every day, whether I’m home or not, so I can skip the commercials and just watch the show. The two things my mom and I did regularly when I was growing up was watch football and watch Jeopardy. When she died I gave up football for 7 years because it was too sad to watch without her. I never stopped watching Jeopardy.

Aaron Rodgers has been my favorite guest host so far, followed closely by Ken Jennings.

Bill is too soft spoken, makes me want to fall asleep. Mike seemed too rehearsed and was trying too hard. Katie was okay, just didn’t stand out for me. Anderson was too apologetic when people got the wrong answer, and it got really annoying. I’ve never liked Dr. Oz, and his guest stint did nothing to improve my opinion.

  • Jan Franklin - 3 years ago

I would definitely like to see Ken or Mike be the permanent host. The odds are that Mike probably wont do it cause of all the other things he is involved in (but it would be great if he did). I definitely DO NOT WANT Aaron Rodgers (ugg)! No, No, No. I bet everyone that made comments that want him to
be the host are all football fans. They are Not True Jeopardy
Fans. Another thing that’s extremely annoying is all the comments people make personally trashing each guest host!
The worst person who’s name is a Dolly Parton song. Keep your insults to yourself! There very Rude and Insulting!!!
All of these guest host are trying to do a good job, and they are! Yes some better than others and more favored than others but that is absolutely NO REASON TO BASH THE YOU KNOW WHAT OUT OF THEM. One more thing, all the people that keep saying they wont watch Jeopardy again, if so and so becomes the host. Well good riddance! Cause that comment tells everyone “I wasn’t a true Jeopardy Fan in the first place. You sound like a giant Baby throwing a tantrum cause its my way or else. Guess what Im sure you have not paid attention but thats been said about every guest host! So some of you get ready to stop watching!

  • Sandra Croft - 3 years ago

Sounds like the choice of the people has been ignored on two stages: the Presidency..AND JEOPARDY......Get TRUMP back in office and RODGERS as host of Jeopardy.....

  • PS - 3 years ago

    Aaron Rodgers ????

Has a very nice voice. He kept the game running smoothly. He seemed excited for the contestants.
By far he is my favorite!

  • Amalia - 3 years ago

    AARON RODGERS PLEASE.
    I have quit watching it.

  • Enid - 3 years ago

Aaron Rodgers, Anderson Cooper and Mike Richards. . I believe Aaron Rodgers was more relaxed in reading the script. I asked myself was he reading the printed word or speaking unscripted? Every moment flowed. His personality glowed. I’m hoping he is picked.

  • Rose - 3 years ago

Enough with the guest hosts. I don't think it's good for the flow of the show. Just pick somebody already.

  • Terry Syvertson - 3 years ago

LeVar Burton should be the permanent host
