The underground railroad was a "description " for a movement of people., not an actual underground railroad. WHO are these people who write this garbage?

The acting is excellent. The scenery and costumes are too. It is also very intense with the level of realism. It is painful watching what my ancestors had to face and still survived.
But the story line is just weird. We watched the first 4 episodes and still think it is weird. Actual trains in the underground rail road? SC is “progressive” about black people and their potential? NC banned black people all together, including slaves? I know there are messages though out the story line, but I have to work hard to understand them.

A bit difficult to follow at times, but the acting is superb! It's unfortunate that the basis of the horrific story line is true!!
