What a great series! I just finished the last episode of season 2. There is so much more story to be told. I wish there was more to watch like season 3 and so on.

There isn’t a single show out there as good as Prodigal Son, I have looked. I’ve watched these two seasons several times and I’m having withdrawals. My husband and my daughter are mad at me for showing them something so awesome that ended so abruptly!! please please PLEASE pick this back up!! I want to see how Malcolm and his family deals with what he did, how Malcolm and Dani’s relationship progresses with yet another roadblock, I want to see more Martin even if he is just in Malcolm’s head, Jessica and Gil finally seemed to arrive at a decision on continuing a relationship, Capshaw got just one episode where she got to really shine, I want to see more JT and his baby, will Ainsley kill again? What about Edrisa’s happiness with Blaze? More than anything, I didn’t even know about Tom Payne until I stumbled on this amazing show and his acting of this incredibly complex and damaged character is breathtaking. Don’t let this be the end please!

I watched 3 show on Fox: Prodigal Son, The Resident, and 911 Lone Star (I basically grew up watching Rob Lowe). I can't believe they canceled this show. It was unique. Why would you want that when you can up with more ridiculous music shows????

My mom, sister and myself LOVED this series. We just finished watching the season finale. So disappointed that it ended and it was such an unfinished ending!! I feel like this series could've gone so much further. Bring it back please, give us a few more seasons!! Both Tom Payne and Michael Sheen are excellent in this series and hopefully they BOTH come back if future seasons are considered.

Masked singers, who can build LEGO’s , bachelor’s, stupid drama who cares. I guess a actual show with great actors means nothing. When you can wear a furry suit.

This was a good season finale but not a series finale! Somebody better pick up this show..it’s one of my favorites! You can’t end it like that with so many things left unfinished. I get that the dad is mad about what Bright made him do but he did try to kill his son in that moment, only proving Bright right that he hasn’t changed..but he can make a miraculous recovery bc Sheen is a big part of the show and he has to stay and Bright can work through his issues and keep Danny (please, he needs her haha). Anyway, all I’m saying is someone can pick up for Season 3..somebody!!

This was an outstanding finale to a Seasonal ending, NOT a Series ending. How could anyone with an IQ above 75 cancel this intriguingly insightful series?!? It was well casted, well scripted, and it brought to the forefront an increasingly compelling subject matter: Mental Health in this country. It provides a genuine glimpse into the systematically pervasive, yet commonly ignored, world of mental illness, including its sufferers, family, friends AND society.
Simply stated, Season 3 is a necessary no-brainer. Please re-think it.

Please, please bring back this show! I love this show and the whole ensemble of the cast. The whole Whitley family dynamic, as well as the crimes that Malcom and his father helped to solving. It just can't end here, there's so much more to be told. Come on Netflix it would be great if you bought the show and give it another couple of seasons.

Absolutely my favourite show of the week. Totally captivated by the characters and their interactions with each other. I also love the quick witticisms of some of the characters. The cast is a perfect group that fit like a puzzle. I was incredulous that the show was cancelled and feel that they should rethink their decision.

My teens and I watch this show together. It’s dark but has had some interesting turns.
Martin is so crazy that showing some other sides to him has really been entertaining.
We don’t want it to end here - they will find ways to keep the show spicy. Profiling and the characters have a lot more to unravel ...I kind of liken this to the Mentalist which was similar in a way except that not all of the actors were able to carry their own whereas these actors (Prodigal Son) have a lot more potential individually..

But I gave a fail grade because yes in fact Dani would’ve realized Malcom was defending himself. And yes I don’t think Martin would have really killed his son! And what about Ainsley...her tendency to black out and kill with no memory of it? So please bring Prodigal Som so we can have a outcome better than the one you gave us.

The final episode of Prodigal Son dished out the kind of suspense and shock that kept me watching the show for two seasons. I am obsessed with British/Welsh actors and enjoyed every minute of Michael Sheen in this series.All the actors are excellent and it is yet another shock that Prodigal Son is canceled. Dumb mistake FOX, I cannot believe you continued the Masked Singer which I stopped watching out of boredom. Bring Back Prodigal Son with rings on fingers, bells on toes and fetch the fatted calf!

So well written and true talent. Please find another network to pick up Season 3. I dont even understand how this series was even placed on chopping block. Micheal Sheen has been a favorite since Twilight. Micheal can bring a sane crazy to the large or small screen.. Lou Dimond Phillips well I've had a crush on him since La Bamba. Lou brings balance and Tom brings you right to the edge. Tom is new on the scene for me but he brings it. I would like to see him interact more with Keiko's character, Bellamy and Halston are the icing on the cake. The add-on of Catherine the flaming candles. Imagine the best tasting cake, most beautifully decorated ready for the party. Love this cast!

The one show that takes the mind to new places. It never fails to surprise. It is a mystery show, a thriller, a drama all with a bit of twisted humor. It is difficult to wait the 7 days between each episode. The only show on TV that does that. Why it's being cancelled is beyond my understanding.

This show has been an intelligent, unique, edge of your seat drama. I love every character, especially Michael Sheen. He is a brilliant actor in this show with the completely crazy father/son relationship. EVERY actor in the Prodigal Son plays their part perfectly and each are absolutely necessary to complete this puzzle. I gave a fail for the ending because the Surgeon would never have killed Malcolm and Dani would always support Malcolm. She was the one who said that a dead Surgeon would set Malcolm free so she wouldn’t have been appalled by Malcolm killing his father. She would have suspected Martin would have gone after Malcolm and he was just defending himself. I don’t know what the writers were thinking. In any event, this show needs to stay on the air because there are many many fans who faithfully watch it. If Fox doesn’t have the space, they could cancel their “fake news” programming. Who wants to watch a news program that lies to the people about the real world. Fox should get their house in order. Keep Prodigal Son for at least one more season to prove more fans will watch!

Actually I hated the ending and was left dissatisfied. Don't know why folks liked it. It just left me hanging. As usual the acting was brilliant by all the players; however, there was no sense of finality whatsoever. What happened to the Surgeon? What happened to Bright? Did he get arrested, overcome this last bit of horror, what? I don't want to be left to imagine what the outcome might have been. This series really, really needs to be picked up by another network. There is so much more that can be explored.????

Brilliant ending! It served as a great finale but what a void in our lives with its cancellation! Martin Sheen is so brilliant! And Tom Payne is such a fresh character like none other. Bellamy Young was so amazing on Scandal that when she appeared as the Mom on Prodigal Son I knew it promised to be stellar - and every episode was just that! I loved the finale and it would satisfy as the end but I want more. There have been very few shows in my 60 years in which not one episode disappointed. I kept waiting for it but after every episode I would comment that it still didn’t disappoint. Amazing work from the creators and I hope the show continues.

An amazingly clever show. I have never before vwritten about a tv show and after 53 years, this is the one. Cleverly written and outstanding actors. I cannot imagine it being cancelled after 2 seasons. People power brought Lucifer back, lets hope the same can be said for Prodigal Son. There are so many story lines to continue with. Let's hope another network picks up this well written and meticulously acted show. Please bring it back!!

Excellent show, writers', actors, just all around fresh, riveting and unpredictable. Still can not imagine what the FOX people were thinking when they put Prodigal Son up for cancellation. I will not be watching FOX for a while. Only other show I ever wrote a network about was when I was 10 an Planet of the Apes was a series.

The Prodical Son was one of the shows that was able to achieve a perfect balance between the actors chosen for each of the characters, the plot with twists and turns you don't see coming in the first few minutes of each episode, and finally some of the finesse in not commonly found in the lines written to tell the story so you don't dare miss a single word in the whole show. If there was ever a show that had it all together, this was certainly it and it DEFINITELY, should be continued for another season. I can't think of another show that had the depth of detail to each character in every scene with the actors able to give the nuances needed to deliver --- boy I didn't see that coming several times each episode. SAVE THIS SHOW!!

I was actually more okay with one of the last two episodes being the series finale than this one. I gave it a B because the rest of the episode was Top Notch, and I was even okay with Malcolm stabbing his father and the sadness achieved in the whole dynamic. You've gotta love writers who make you root for redemption of such a bad guy! But the last moment when we hear what did you do had me going...what?! Huh? that is the worst line to end a show on ever!! So yeah even though I don't know how dad and his boy could get past all of that, I still would love another Network to pick this up so I could see what happens next and maybe get an ending I am more satisfied with!!!

I do think the end works well for both a season finale and if needed, as a finale. It leaves you thinking about Malcolm's struggle over being like his father for killing Nicholas and the fear of his dark side. But this cannot be the end!!

I am obsessed with this show as is my husband and my mother. I absolutely hated this ending though as a season finale and really really hated it as a series finale. Way too many loose ends and even though I hope and pray for any network to pick it back up again and have signed every petition that is out there to save prodigal son and even sent birdseed and twizzlers to Warner Bros., I’m not sure how you can get the Dynamic back between Martin & Malcolm. The whole series went around Malcolm‘s torn thinking of yes my father is a serial killer but he still loved me and never would hurt me. Now that is totally gone how could they ever work a case together again should there be a season 3 elsewhere. I would of it much rather have it ended with them riding off in the boat together and maybe the surgeon could of left
Malcom somewhere when he made sure he was well enough to get back to police station.

I gave it a fail because it was a great episode but a shit ending. His excuse for liking open endings is just an excuse for lazy writing. He owed it to the fans that lost another great show to give us a truly great ending with real closure not this open ended garbage. I now feel that I wasted my valuable time watching this show and will never watch anything these guys put out no matter how great it is because without and ending it's just loose ends and I hate loose ends.

Please don’t cancel the show! Every episode was fascinating especially the last 3 or 4 building up to the finale. Martin is brilliant as the surgeon and Malcolm is just superb with his multi- faceted performance. The entire cast round out the whole show and I looked forward to watching. There is no other new series that holds my attention for long.

How can they decide to cancel this show! It states that the ratings were dropping but every friend I ask looks forward to it and watches every week. These ratings must come from the same pollers that show Biden has a 60%+ approval rating!! Someone please bring this series back with current actors.
What a great series! I just finished the last episode of season 2. There is so much more story to be told. I wish there was more to watch like season 3 and so on.
I loved the show! I was so excited for there to be more. The series finale was pretty good. It definitely worked as a season finale, but a little less so as a series finale. Hopefully, it'll get picked up somewhere else and the story can continue.
There isn’t a single show out there as good as Prodigal Son, I have looked. I’ve watched these two seasons several times and I’m having withdrawals. My husband and my daughter are mad at me for showing them something so awesome that ended so abruptly!! please please PLEASE pick this back up!! I want to see how Malcolm and his family deals with what he did, how Malcolm and Dani’s relationship progresses with yet another roadblock, I want to see more Martin even if he is just in Malcolm’s head, Jessica and Gil finally seemed to arrive at a decision on continuing a relationship, Capshaw got just one episode where she got to really shine, I want to see more JT and his baby, will Ainsley kill again? What about Edrisa’s happiness with Blaze? More than anything, I didn’t even know about Tom Payne until I stumbled on this amazing show and his acting of this incredibly complex and damaged character is breathtaking. Don’t let this be the end please!
I watched 3 show on Fox: Prodigal Son, The Resident, and 911 Lone Star (I basically grew up watching Rob Lowe). I can't believe they canceled this show. It was unique. Why would you want that when you can up with more ridiculous music shows????

My mom, sister and myself LOVED this series. We just finished watching the season finale. So disappointed that it ended and it was such an unfinished ending!! I feel like this series could've gone so much further. Bring it back please, give us a few more seasons!! Both Tom Payne and Michael Sheen are excellent in this series and hopefully they BOTH come back if future seasons are considered.

This was a good season finale but not a series finale! Somebody better pick up this show..it’s one of my favorites! You can’t end it like that with so many things left unfinished. I get that the dad is mad about what Bright made him do but he did try to kill his son in that moment, only proving Bright right that he hasn’t changed..but he can make a miraculous recovery bc Sheen is a big part of the show and he has to stay and Bright can work through his issues and keep Danny (please, he needs her haha). Anyway, all I’m saying is someone can pick up for Season 3..somebody!!
This was an outstanding finale to a Seasonal ending, NOT a Series ending. How could anyone with an IQ above 75 cancel this intriguingly insightful series?!? It was well casted, well scripted, and it brought to the forefront an increasingly compelling subject matter: Mental Health in this country. It provides a genuine glimpse into the systematically pervasive, yet commonly ignored, world of mental illness, including its sufferers, family, friends AND society.
Simply stated, Season 3 is a necessary no-brainer. Please re-think it.
The only reason I am not able to give the finale an A is because I can’t accept it as an ending. Another station MUST pick up this show. It is my favorite show, and that’s saying something, so only have 2 seasons is killing me. PLEASE SOMEONE SAVE THIS SHOW!

Absolutely my favourite show of the week. Totally captivated by the characters and their interactions with each other. I also love the quick witticisms of some of the characters. The cast is a perfect group that fit like a puzzle. I was incredulous that the show was cancelled and feel that they should rethink their decision.
I love this program!! Finally a drama that an adult can watch and be surprised at all the twists and turns. A program you are able to discuss after each episode and ponder what will happen next. My teens and I watch this show together. It’s dark but has had some interesting turns.
Martin is so crazy that showing some other sides to him has really been entertaining.
We don’t want it to end here - they will find ways to keep the show spicy. Profiling and the characters have a lot more to unravel ...I kind of liken this to the Mentalist which was similar in a way except that not all of the actors were able to carry their own whereas these actors (Prodigal Son) have a lot more potential individually..

But I gave a fail grade because yes in fact Dani would’ve realized Malcom was defending himself. And yes I don’t think Martin would have really killed his son! And what about Ainsley...her tendency to black out and kill with no memory of it? So please bring Prodigal Som so we can have a outcome better than the one you gave us.

The final episode of Prodigal Son dished out the kind of suspense and shock that kept me watching the show for two seasons. I am obsessed with British/Welsh actors and enjoyed every minute of Michael Sheen in this series.All the actors are excellent and it is yet another shock that Prodigal Son is canceled. Dumb mistake FOX, I cannot believe you continued the Masked Singer which I stopped watching out of boredom. Bring Back Prodigal Son with rings on fingers, bells on toes and fetch the fatted calf!
This was so original. Martin Sheen reminded me of Anthony Hopkins; funny & deadly. FOX you've really screwed up..Big Time! Come on NETFLIX prove them wrong. The cast & script is just getting into their own. This show is a dramatic "Schitts Creek!"

So well written and true talent. Please find another network to pick up Season 3. I dont even understand how this series was even placed on chopping block. Micheal Sheen has been a favorite since Twilight. Micheal can bring a sane crazy to the large or small screen.. Lou Dimond Phillips well I've had a crush on him since La Bamba. Lou brings balance and Tom brings you right to the edge. Tom is new on the scene for me but he brings it. I would like to see him interact more with Keiko's character, Bellamy and Halston are the icing on the cake. The add-on of Catherine the flaming candles. Imagine the best tasting cake, most beautifully decorated ready for the party. Love this cast!
I am LIVID with the network for cancelling this show! It was one of the only decent shows on TV! So much crap with masked performers, naked survivors and the like, yet the only suspenseful brainy show around gets tanked. I don't get it....hoping beyond hope an independent network is smart enough to pick it up!

The one show that takes the mind to new places. It never fails to surprise. It is a mystery show, a thriller, a drama all with a bit of twisted humor. It is difficult to wait the 7 days between each episode. The only show on TV that does that. Why it's being cancelled is beyond my understanding.
This show has been an intelligent, unique, edge of your seat drama. I love every character, especially Michael Sheen. He is a brilliant actor in this show with the completely crazy father/son relationship. EVERY actor in the Prodigal Son plays their part perfectly and each are absolutely necessary to complete this puzzle. I gave a fail for the ending because the Surgeon would never have killed Malcolm and Dani would always support Malcolm. She was the one who said that a dead Surgeon would set Malcolm free so she wouldn’t have been appalled by Malcolm killing his father. She would have suspected Martin would have gone after Malcolm and he was just defending himself. I don’t know what the writers were thinking. In any event, this show needs to stay on the air because there are many many fans who faithfully watch it. If Fox doesn’t have the space, they could cancel their “fake news” programming. Who wants to watch a news program that lies to the people about the real world. Fox should get their house in order. Keep Prodigal Son for at least one more season to prove more fans will watch!

Actually I hated the ending and was left dissatisfied. Don't know why folks liked it. It just left me hanging. As usual the acting was brilliant by all the players; however, there was no sense of finality whatsoever. What happened to the Surgeon? What happened to Bright? Did he get arrested, overcome this last bit of horror, what? I don't want to be left to imagine what the outcome might have been. This series really, really needs to be picked up by another network. There is so much more that can be explored.????
Brilliant ending! It served as a great finale but what a void in our lives with its cancellation! Martin Sheen is so brilliant! And Tom Payne is such a fresh character like none other. Bellamy Young was so amazing on Scandal that when she appeared as the Mom on Prodigal Son I knew it promised to be stellar - and every episode was just that! We are crying buckets over this cancellation!
I loved the finale and it would satisfy as the end but I want more. There have been very few shows in my 60 years in which not one episode disappointed. I kept waiting for it but after every episode I would comment that it still didn’t disappoint. Amazing work from the creators and I hope the show continues.

I am heartbroken. Prodigal Son is my favorite show, it made me look forward to waking up each morning.
Fox looses alot of viewers due to its controversal News. The Prodical Son is an awesome series. I wait week after week to see what happens next. Fox is failing. Controversal news, drags down ratings for those who do not believe the Big Lie. This is the only program on Fox that I watch as I do not wish to support this station.
Intelligent series, no wonder Fox killed it. Intelligent and Fox are a contradiction in terms. Very disappointing, the leads were great.
Hopefully it syndicates and gets picked up, my wife and I enjoyed it very much.

An amazingly clever show. I have never before vwritten about a tv show and after 53 years, this is the one. Cleverly written and outstanding actors. I cannot imagine it being cancelled after 2 seasons. People power brought Lucifer back, lets hope the same can be said for Prodigal Son. There are so many story lines to continue with. Let's hope another network picks up this well written and meticulously acted show. Please bring it back!!
Excellent show, writers', actors, just all around fresh, riveting and unpredictable. Still can not imagine what the FOX people were thinking when they put Prodigal Son up for cancellation. I will not be watching FOX for a while. Only other show I ever wrote a network about was when I was 10 an Planet of the Apes was a series.

The Prodical Son was one of the shows that was able to achieve a perfect balance between the actors chosen for each of the characters, the plot with twists and turns you don't see coming in the first few minutes of each episode, and finally some of the finesse in not commonly found in the lines written to tell the story so you don't dare miss a single word in the whole show. If there was ever a show that had it all together, this was certainly it and it DEFINITELY, should be continued for another season. I can't think of another show that had the depth of detail to each character in every scene with the actors able to give the nuances needed to deliver --- boy I didn't see that coming several times each episode. SAVE THIS SHOW!!

I was actually more okay with one of the last two episodes being the series finale than this one. I gave it a B because the rest of the episode was Top Notch, and I was even okay with Malcolm stabbing his father and the sadness achieved in the whole dynamic. You've gotta love writers who make you root for redemption of such a bad guy! But the last moment when we hear what did you do had me going...what?! Huh? that is the worst line to end a show on ever!! So yeah even though I don't know how dad and his boy could get past all of that, I still would love another Network to pick this up so I could see what happens next and maybe get an ending I am more satisfied with!!!

I do think the end works well for both a season finale and if needed, as a finale. It leaves you thinking about Malcolm's struggle over being like his father for killing Nicholas and the fear of his dark side. But this cannot be the end!!

Way too many loose ends and even though I hope and pray for any network to pick it back up again and have signed every petition that is out there to save prodigal son and even sent birdseed and twizzlers to Warner Bros., I’m not sure how you can get the Dynamic back between Martin & Malcolm. The whole series went around Malcolm‘s torn thinking of yes my father is a serial killer but he still loved me and never would hurt me. Now that is totally gone how could they ever work a case together again should there be a season 3 elsewhere. I would of it much rather have it ended with them riding off in the boat together and maybe the surgeon could of left

If it was just a season cliffhanger ending, it would have been fine. We need the rest of the story! It did not end giving the viewer closure, so we were very disappointed.
I gave it a fail because it was a great episode but a shit ending. His excuse for liking open endings is just an excuse for lazy writing. He owed it to the fans that lost another great show to give us a truly great ending with real closure not this open ended garbage. I now feel that I wasted my valuable time watching this show and will never watch anything these guys put out no matter how great it is because without and ending it's just loose ends and I hate loose ends.
Please don’t cancel the show! Every episode was fascinating especially the last 3 or 4 building up to the finale. Martin is brilliant as the surgeon and Malcolm is just superb with his multi- faceted performance. The entire cast round out the whole show and I looked forward to watching. There is no other new series that holds my attention for long.
