Grace definitely has the better voice of the three. Willie next. People fall in love with the stories instead of voting on the best voice.

Chayce was the right choice. He was the complete package ... great vocals, can play an instrument, and writes his own songs. That’s an American Idol!
AI was way too long of a show with 2nd rated performances. The song choices for the final 3 contestants were horrible and didn't challenge their vocal ranges. To me the overall winner was Grace followed by Chayce. Too much emphasis is put on the personal lives. AI just lost a lot of viewers!!
I definitely feel that the title was given to the wrong person. Yeah Chayce is a good singer but I feel Willie Spence was the CLEAR winner and could sing every other contestant under the table, they took it from him???? This is why I stopped watching AImerican Idol for a long time because I was disappointed and felt the show was RIGGED years ago as I do now. So I will not be watching this show AGAIN! To Willie Spence I say , ON TO BIGGER and BIGGER THINGS❤???????? You will be blessed and succeed beyond your imagination. Willie Spence, West Palm Bch FL L❤ V???? you.
I already left a comment. But had to write again after reading all the comments posted here. Can anyone explain how it is that so many here have said Willie or Grace. So how did Chase win this show tonight?????? That's wrong.
I think they got it wrong. I was for Grace. I was shocked she took 3rd place. If not her, 100% Willie should have won. I don't know why it went to Chase. He was not the best of the 3 of them. Willie really should have won!!
Congratulations to Chayce, however. I was rooting for Willie. As usual, the runner up will do well without winning the title.
Yr21 best Idol,, my favorite was Willie but they all were great! My opinion Willie will end up with a singing career and perform everywhere and with his beautiful personality he will be star and be our next Rubin Studdard#Luther#Gerald Lavert all in one he's goin to go far,, keep our judges luv Katy, Lionel, Luke by the way why wasn't Just Sam brought back to be part of the finale?????????????
Based on voice alone I would have given it to Willie, but there was some thing about Chayce, his voice, his great smile and personality his story and determination to turn his life around. His his good looks and his presence on stage made him a winner for me right from the beginning.
His song 23 was tops on ITunes after the first time Chayce sung it and it is still number 8 on finale night.
I think many of the top 5 are going to be stars.
Omg AI was dreadful tonight....3 hours? Come on people! I watched until Grace was voted out then changed channels to watch Mare of Easttown then switched back in time to see Chayce win. I, personally, think Grace was the better of the 3 finalists, Chayce then Willie. I’m tired of seeing contestants shed tears every week looking for pity votes. Anyways.....it was way too long, one hour would have been ok.

Like I said to my husband, which record would you buy or listen to on the radio? For me Chase because that’s the kind of music I like. Although Willie and Grace are outstanding and I love them.
I enjoyed the show. Two hours would’ve been enough. I understand why Chaucer won. Wasn’t my pick but I love his song and think he’s a terrific writer and a good guy. . Willie for me has something so special that transcends and uplifts. Lobe his voice and his Spirit. Someone sign him please.
I started saying it 4 years ago and I say it unfortunately tonight. American idol must be getting most of its votes from the South because it has become one of the most racist shows on TV.
Each year I try not to expect it, but with this she was telling being the best American idol has ever seen-I held out hope that America would just absolutely vote for the best, most talented voice. But to my painful dismay, I was let down again by the show. The racism by America's vote is so so sad and difficult to watch week after week. Something must change in the voting system. I for one have been saying the last few years that I will never watch it again, but I'm drawn in out of Hope and with the knowledge that I'll probably see some of the best performances I've ever seen. Half of that was true this year, but I will never be tuning in again.
This is not American idol's fault whatsoever, but it is right smack dab at their feet to fix. Given the fact that we've clearly seen over the past 2 years just how racist our country still is- a change now has to come.
Willie was our choice. He is amazing. Hopefully people will give him a chance to soar. He is no longer a “caretaker”, but an inspiration maker.

I felt that Willie was the best singer but I expected Chayce to win and I was correct. Grace was an awesome talent but poor showmanship (if you saw how she treated Willie after their duet last week then you know what I mean.)All 3 were talented though. In the end it was the person who didn’t have the best voice but the best look. That is how America usually votes on American idol. Also the country singers usually win. Congratulations Chayce. I hope Willie gets a good contract though.
Hunter sang as well as anyone tonight in his duet with Katy. He lacked confidence during singe songs during the season and wasn't a finalist, but he should have a solid career in music. I love his voice. Willie's voice is iconic and so spiritual, and Grace's performance of "I Have Nothing" was electric. Chayce seems like a good guy with an identifiable country voice. Red state voters vote for country, which is their right. The Voice has finally figured out how to keep Blake's country artist from winning almost every season. I would listen to several artists from this season.
Re my previous comment - don't get me wrong - Willie & Grace are amazing vocalists - but Casey Bishop is the American Idol.
Chayce will make a good winner for Hollywood Records. It IS American Idol…not American Broadway…the songs need to be current and if they sing their own original songs ..that is even better. Casey was absolutely amazing and I hope someone signs her. Rock and Roll needs someone like her to bring it back! Caleb Kennedy needs to be forgiven and also get signed.. He is an amazing singer and songwriter for 16 years old….about the controversy …He was TWELVE and that hood his friend had on represented a movie character murderer NOT a KKK figure. People just need to Chill.

The country singer almost always wins, regardless of talent. Willie was clearly the better singer but red-neck-'merca will always follow the country singer. America was wrong.
i think casey should have won without a doubt -she had everything -talent -beauty and personality .i wasn’t going to watch it anymore afterthat -but i was curious -tonight’s show should have taken only half the time -i only watched part ( except for the end) .i will maybe watch it tom ( was very disappointed .though ) & may not watch it next season .

The people voted and Chayce won..He was amazing and well deserved..All contestants had great voices but only one can win. So proud of Chayce and we can't wait to hear what songs he will bring to the music world..
Casey Bishop is the American Idol - no question about it. Anything else is ridiculous.

There was sooooo much fantastic talent this year! Unbelievable! Grace and Willie were both great singers! Chayce has a very good voice, was sooooo entertaining, and very likeable!

American audiences voted for the right winner for a change. My top pick all along and I’m not even particularly a huge fan of his type of music. But he’s a star package through and through and thoroughly deserves the win.
Waaay to long of a finale! Old rockers that were so off key, embarrassing to watch! The finale could have been over in an hour, kept flipping channels to save my ears of the horrible guest singers. At least the Equalizer on CBS was and always good! Nexttime avoid the gross old “can’t even play County Fair used up talent.” Really enjoyed Idol this season but tonight was sooo awkward, awful and pathetic..
Willie and Grace should have been the Top 2 with Willie Winning . I think the Judges should be the ones who vote for the Winner . Letting everyone vote becomes a Popularity Contest and doesn't always favor the Best Singer

I thought the finale was to long. It could have been finished in two hours. Although I didn't agree with. Chayce as the winner because I thought Grace has more talent. I thought the talent this year was exceptional.
