I really like Buzzy. He makes the game interesting the way Alex did. He's got my vote!

  • Sandy - 3 years ago

Buzzy Cohen has done a good job. I liked Mike Richards equally well. Ken Jennings would also be a pick.

  • Ramsay and Frank North - 3 years ago

We have watched Jeopardy for many years and watched through the sad demise of Alex Trebeck.
Tough shoes to fill and we applaud the way you went about a search. We saw them all and Buzzy Cohen would be our choice by far. I think Alex would be pleased with this choice. He seemed like he had being hosting for years.
Also reminds us of Robert Q Lewis who was a great game host .
    With iconic glasses.

So far I have been most surprised by Aaron Rodgers.... so much smarter than anyone knew... I think he did an excellent job!

  • K. Rant - 3 years ago

Buzzy, then Mike. Scrub all the boring, egocentric journalists. Really, what is your fascination with these overpaid journalists?! No one watches them for them!

  • Laura BullyBu - 3 years ago

Buzzy is the most relaxed doing Alex's job. Very likeable. I hope he gets the job!

  • Lavonne - 3 years ago

Buzzy is number 1. Mike is number 2. Please do not consider any one but one of these.

  • Ellen Dearin - 3 years ago

Buzzy has done a phenomenal job hosting the championship game. He has lots of personality. He is not boring. And his inflections on the catagories label, is wonderful. I like him for the job. He will be a great host.

Buzzy handled his task with ease and confidence. I felt like he knew the answers without any Q cards. A contestant, a winner and host. He's done it all. The Buzz is for Buzzy

  • Jack - 3 years ago

Buzzy undeniably felt seamless !!! Rogers was a BORE whose nfl fans could only like. Jennings and Edward’s come in personality wise #2.

  • James Garrett - 3 years ago

I don't follow American football whatsoever. I watched Alex Trebek since he hosted, "Reach for the Top" and "Jeopardy" whenever able. I missed the series which had Aaron Rodgers as a contestant. I expected to be dismissive but I was impressed, astonished and delighted by his hosting of the show. Many have done well- the show's brilliant producer, Mike Richards can actually step in and be great - the ideal producer! Buzzy is more relaxed than Ken Jennings, whose voice I find off-putting but both are capable. Aaron Rodgers is young and energetic and I think he is the host for the long term. Please pick him.

  • Thomas R Work - 3 years ago

I was for sure impartial and just want the best person for Jeopardy to carry on Alex's Legacy. Without a doubt Buzzy Cohen is that guy. Very personable very knowledgeable and just seems like a natural. Mike Richards would probably be next but might be a conflict of interest? Anyway Buzzy has all the right stuff and I think would do great if he got the gig.

  • Nancy E Sineath - 3 years ago

Mike Richards is by far the best host for Jeopardy! He has tons of experience and follows Alex like a shadow...very professional....he fits Jeopardy! like a second skin...would be a mistake to replace Mike and Alex with someone who has not got the ability of Alex Trebek...The only two who have my vote is Mike Richards or Buzzy Cohen... Be a shame to put someone in who has none of the charisma Alex had and none of the smarts Buzzy and Mike have!

  • Susan Bolles - 3 years ago

Aaron Rodgers was the best temp host. I liked all the hosts, have nothing bad to say about any, but Aaron Rodgers was IT from the moment he walked on stage. No ego, friendly smile, warm personality, and very intelligent. He felt the most comfortable watching, next to Alex. Others were dry, stiff. Aaron has that sparkle in his eye that says he's jazzed to be there. My vote is Aaron Rodgers.

  • Love Alex - 3 years ago

Buzzy, then Mike...and that was a surprise to me!

  • Sherry Doughty - 3 years ago

Not a fan of Buzzy. I think he tried to be on his best behavior (non arrogant but it it felt insincere). I believe if he was permanent host he would become tiresome and I could not continue to watch the show I have loved for almost 40 years.
I enjoyed Anderson and Richard so far. Real people not tv personality.

  • Susan - 3 years ago

Buzzy is by far the best Jeopardy host to date. Hope he gets the job

  • Enid Y Killay - 3 years ago

I was against Buzz Cohen until I saw him host. Wow, he's a natural, funny but not attention getting. He lets the players and game shine. Ken is my second choice. I definitely want a former player to get the hosting job though everyone has done a good job

  • Susan Klatz Beal - 3 years ago

Buzzy is hand's down the best guest host we've seen so far. Mike Richards was good, too, and Ken Jennings did a good job filling in after Alex's death, but as others said, he lacks humility, and I suspect he has a closet full of skeletons. Anderson Cooper was also excellent. Dr. Oz and Bill Whitacker tie for the worst guest hosts.

  • Enid Y Killay - 3 years ago

I never against Buzz Cohen until I saw him host. Wow, he's the best. Ken is my second choice. I definitely want a former player to get the hosting job though everyone has done a good job

  • Roberta Skaggs - 3 years ago

I’m still for Ken Jennings. That is if he wants the job. Ken seems the most natural choice and I never get tired of listening to his voice. Some of the guest hosts after a couple days, I don’t watch anymore until the next new host. I have watched the show for years.

  • Anita S. - 3 years ago

I thought Mike should be the new host of Jeopardy until I saw Buzzy. After the first night, I didn't even think about the host because I was actually drawn completely into the game. Listening to the answers and coming up with the question was natural for the first time since we lost our beloved Alex. Buzzy wins my vote hands down!

  • RH - 3 years ago

When Alex interviewed Cohen on air, Cohen said that he directly wanted Alex's job! It may have been innocently implied then, but now it is in bad taste to Alex and to the show! Ken Jennings fits the form, he's smart and he is humble. Off the air in his private world he can be witty if he wants to.

  • Fran Prince - 3 years ago

Buzzy is my choice...Ken was until I saw Buzzy in action...They both have connection s with Alex and the competition...have now worn both hats....they know how the competitors feel: They love Alex... so. Voting for Buzzy or Ken...Buzzy puts his whole heart and personality into each show and person.
Also,....That would keep the show less political....We just want to enjoy the program without thinking about the political leanings of the host. Ready for a permanent host. Thank you for asking our opinions.
I agree with Christine Mele’s comment. Well stated!!!????????????

  • Carol Pilchertruly - 3 years ago

Buzz should be the next show host on Jeportary. Love his manner on conducting the show as it should be. My second vote is for Mike. He also conducted the show as we are so use to it. 2 great people that put their time into doing the best for the show.

  • Carol J Nix - 3 years ago

Anyone but Levar Burton. Please.. love Buzzy

  • Tricia - 3 years ago

Love Buzzy. Keep him as permanent host!

  • Tony Cherry - 3 years ago

Buzzy by far is my choice with Mike Richards and Ken Jennings a close second. I can't imagine Aaron Rodgers even being considered for the job. Egotistical, whining cry baby. Halfway through the season he would demand his contract be renegotiated. Please go ahead and make selection and cancel Maykim, Pretty Boy George, Robin, and Lavar. Watch the black race rioting if Lavar Burton doesn't get it.

  • MS - 3 years ago

Buzzy lacks the Canadian warmth that just comes naturally with all Canadians!!
His NASAL voice becomes jarring by the end of show and so hoping he will NOT be the permanent host. So far leaning towards Aaron, and Anderson who are natural and being themselves.

  • Rebecca Ferrin - 3 years ago

Please do not give the hosting postion to Ken. He needs a lesson or ten on humility! His social media presence rubs me the wrong way. Mike has been my favorite, but he probably won't want to take the position along with his other work. Buzzy has truly won me over. I can't wait to see LeVar, but think he is too old. Sorry, LeVar! I want to see the next host last 38 yrs at the helm.

  • Sharing n - 3 years ago

Buzzy has my vote. So good at this gig—a natural with true passion for the job. Fun to watch. Pays homage to Alex while still remaining Buzzy. Two thumbs up!

  • Amy - 3 years ago

I want someone connected to Jeopardy.

Buzzy has been awesome and I would love to keep him.

Ken was pretty good and I adored Mike Richards.

But Buzzy is the top of my list right now. And he has even said he would take the job if offered.

  • Carol - 3 years ago

He did a very professional job as if he had been hosting for a long time. Several of the previous guest hosts you worried that they were going to screw up. Not Buzzy. He was comfortable and I believe by being so put the contestants at ease. He was extremely good.

  • Eleanor - 3 years ago

I intensely disliked Buzzy as a contestant but darn, he's done a great job hosting the TofC! Enough that I want him permanently? My jury's still out but getting there. Loved Ken Jennings as a contestant but found his voice grating after a week or two and would not want to listen to it every night. I see Ken as looking to the past and never wanting to let Alex go to move on; I see Buzzy as honoring the past but moving beyond it to the future, which is needed.

  • Rob - 3 years ago

    Aaron Rodgers gets my vote.

But, I'm rapidly loosing interest in the show keep changing the host.

  • Jennifer Patch - 3 years ago

I like Ken Jennings best for permanent host. He seems very comfortable with the spot and has many of Alex's mannerisms.

  • Jennifer Patch - 3 years ago

I like Ken Jennings best for permanent host. He seems very comfortable with the spot and has many of Alex's mannerisms.

  • Thomas R Michaels - 3 years ago

Mike i think came across the best. By far

    Who is Buzz

How about a list with back ground
No one who is politically attracted
Again Mike can bring a lot of Alex to the game show.
Katie was one of the worse
    Good luck ????

  • Kathryn Johnson - 3 years ago

Buzzy has it all. He knows the game inside and out. Very smooth and knows how to keep the game flowing. I believe Alex Trebeck would be in his corner. I would watch regularly with Buzzy as permanent host. I haven’t been motivated to watch with some of the recent guest hosts. Buzzy has a unique personality and demeanor appealing to a wide range of people in the audience. Go Buzzy!!

  • Wendy Panensky - 3 years ago

Michael Richards is the best. He doesn’t have to prove anything. He’s a natural just like Mr. Trebeck. Every other guest was trying to prove to themselves how brilliant they wanted the audience to believe. Ken Kennings though quite brilliant lacked personality he tried but came of descending to the contestant and audience. He’s on and I am off. I did enjoy Aaron but not permanently. All the others were not for this position. Stop looking to fill Mr. trebecks shoes. It cannot happen. Mr. Richards is extremely intelligent at the same time has charm and personality. He speaks eloquently about and is very nice looking and has no attitude. He’s a natural. I hope he receives this spot Thank you for your time to read my feelings. Good luck Mr. Richards

  • Phyllis Terry - 3 years ago

I would choose Aaron Rodgers as the most like Alex.

  • Claire - 3 years ago

Definitely Buzzy! I loved him as a contestant and love him as the host. He’s fun, smooth, and has a great rapport with the contestants. If he isn’t selected though, my second choice would be Anderson Cooper. I didn’t think Aaron Rodgers was that good - don’t understand all the hype about him.

  • K. Grant - 3 years ago

George ( arrogant, grating,, and codescending) Robin Roberts, Gupta, Mayim ...why even bother with them?!!! Lavar...rainbows and Jeopardy don't mix...great for kids show but no connection to Jeopardy. Buzzy is a natural fit and made Jeopaedy appealing again, he's connected to the show and Alex and audiences like him and he is knowledgeable. Skip all the other upcoming hosts and choose Buzzy. You've found your host!

  • Virginia Hickey - 3 years ago

I agree with Liz R about Buzzy. I too thought he was arrogant and hated the way he flicked his shoulder as a contestant. But now I’m impressed with him as a guest host. For me it’s a toss up between Buzzy and Mike!

  • Casper - 3 years ago

Surprisingly, Buzzy is the natural successor to Alex, without a doubt. It’s been difficult watching some of the others during this trial period (sorry, Katie, but you spoke to the contestants as if they were children; Mike, your “enthusiasm” is better suited to GSN type game shows not a venerable show such as Jeopardy), and at times I felt as if my favorite show (been watching since the Art Fleming days) was never going to live up to Alex’s legacy. Buzzy has brought sort of a comfort factor back to the show. He is polished, warm, and genuine, and has shown his ability to be unflappable during this week’s semifinals.

  • Judy - 3 years ago

Buzzy doesn't draw the attention away from the game and contestants to himself, which is just right. So far I like him, Aaron Rodgers, and Anderson Cooper.

  • Grace W - 3 years ago

I vote for Ken and Buzzy! Buzzy is more personable but needs to work on transitioning from one contestant to the next. He seemed awkward. Ken was pretty solid by week 2.

  • Laurie - 3 years ago

Buzzy was great.... sharp, kind, classy, witty, knowledgeable and fun. Most impressive. So different from the Contestant Buzzy! My second choice is Mike Richards.

  • Merrick - 3 years ago

I thought Buzzy was gonna be goofy as a host — but he's turned out to be the best of the bunch so far. The thing I really like about him? He reads the answers with the confidence that makes it seem as if he himself wrote them — and he confirms the responses with the same assured authority. And I agree with many of the others: great voice. One improvement: he does well interviewing the contestants, much better than many of the other hosts, but he can use just a tad more media training to make the transition from one contestant to the next sound more natural and seamless. Anderson was the best at the interviews, although not the best overall host (and, btw, Bill Whitaker the worst interviewer, ironically) — Buzzy is definitely near the top of the pack.

I did like Ken a lot and he was my first choice ... til Buzzy came along and made me realize that the appealing folksiness of Ken might eventually get old quick. I also liked Mike Richards and knew he could handle it because of his having done a great job hosting the 2012 GSN version of Pyramid. Very photogenic and great voice. I just feel that his on-camera presentation was just ever-so-slightly too slick, and especially compared to Alex, who was the anti-slick game show host. So, I feel that Buzzy has the best traits of Ken and the best of Mike, with a whole lot of his own authentic self that makes for the perfect host.

I don't see any of the forthcoming guest hosts beating Buzzy, especially George Stephanopoulos (can't stand him!), and LeVar Burton will be great but also probably a tad too slick — although I am curious to see how Savannah Guthrie does and, especially, Robin Roberts, who's a wonderful screen presence with a great voice. But I think this is Buzzy's to lose.

  • Liz R - 3 years ago

I did not like Buzzy as a contestant. I hated his swiping of the shoulder move. He seemed arrogant, so I prejudged and figured he'd be a terrible host. I admit I was 100% wrong. He is amazing. Just enough humor, no arrogance. He has my vote as permanent host.

  • Alfred - 3 years ago

Buzzy it greatest love his ease, relax, and intelligence. His reaction with the contestants was awesome. Please select Buzzy????

  • Eleanor Heleniak - 3 years ago

I don't think that anyone who was a contestant on the show should be the new host of Jeopardy especially Ken Jennings!

  • Maggy - 3 years ago

Buzzy gestures with his left hand too much and is not a natural host of Jeopardy. I hope someone will coach him if he is selected as permanent host. I am sorry that some of the potential permanent hosts going forward will only have a week to prove themselves to fans. However I continue to watch offerings before making a decision on who I'd vote for.

  • Pat - 3 years ago

#1: Mike, the executive producer, is the best by far by being even keeled, professional with no showboating and using correct pronunciations on foreign words.

#2: Buzzy has the best clothing, and gives the entire answer if the contestants only say a last name, but mispronounced a Spanish word so badly that I didn't know what he was saying when I knew the answer and he cuts the contestants off.

#3: Bill Whitaker could handle this position, but is too composed and has no spontaneity. This is a game show not 60 minutes.

  • Sarah - 3 years ago

I loved Buzzy as a contestant but felt he was a little too Hollywood for host. Didn’t hate him, though.

  • Connie - 3 years ago

I did not know who Buzzy was and had been carrying my vote around for Ken. Then, I heard Buzzy’s wonderful broadcasting voice and saw his confidence with the game, interaction with the contestants, and very broad knowledge base. I think Alex would appreciate Buzzy as the chosen one to carry on the Jeopardy legacy!

  • Robert Scioneaux - 3 years ago

I think Ken Jennings or Buzzy Cohen should be the permanent host. Both of them having been on the other side bring an added feature to the viewer that the other people being considered don’t have. They both have a great connection with the viewer

  • Donna Bayar Repsher - 3 years ago

I think the permanent host position should go to Ken Jennings. He was a natural during his stint as host, and my husband and I thoroughly enjoyed watching him.

  • Leanne - 3 years ago

In order to continue the legacy of Alex Trebec, in my mind, the new host HAS to have a connection to the Jeopardy show, so it must be Ken, Mike, or Buzzy! And I think Buzzy is #1, Mike #2, and Ken #3. Buzzy is a natural for the position!

  • Robin - 3 years ago

Buzzy did great. It felt natural and fun. He also has a very good TV voice. That’s king of a big deal!

  • Susan S - 3 years ago

Buzzy was absolutely the best by far. I liked his comments and his timing was great when speaking with the guests. He was great! I hope to see him as the permanent host.

  • Anne - 3 years ago

I thought no one would “out do” Ken, but Buzzy has my vote. He’s handled the hot seat of champions admirably! He’s very comfortable at the podium.

  • Jo Anne Sandy - 3 years ago

Buzzy Cohen is the only one who may be slightly more likeable than Aaron Rodgers. Both are smart, alert, easy to understand, & smoothly entertaining--all w/o being more interested in themselves than the contestants & the show itself. What they both demonstrate is integrity, while not breaking their arms patting themselves on the back. I think choosing a younger host in his 30's will serve the show well, so you don't have to rinse & repeat too soon.

  • Darcy - 3 years ago

Buzzy is the best so far, much better then Ken

  • Donnie Miller - 3 years ago

    Mike Richards the best!
    No Buzzy!

  • Michael - 3 years ago

    1. Buzzy. 2. Mike. 3. Anderson.

  • Beverly Welborn - 3 years ago

I have thoroughly enjoyed Buzz Cohen. I’ve listened to all guest hosts & I feel he has done the best job so far. He keeps everything running smoothly & I enjoy his voice. He seems at ease & likes what he’s doing.

  • Tina Watson - 3 years ago

Buzzy is a natural. Easy going, smart, nice voice, a pleasure to watch, super cool and most of all, he has charisma and the it factor working for him.

  • Lori - 3 years ago

Buzzy is the whole package, not only is he intelligent but he is just a natural. He has charm and he interacts well with the contestants. As I told my son, Buzzy has pizzazz , he would be a great Jeopardy host. I was so happy when I heard he was going to guest host he was my number one pick even before I watched him host the Tournament of Champions

  • Joelynn - 3 years ago

Buzzy Cohen is outstanding. The fact that he's not a celebrity but "just" a talented individual who is, thus far, the most natural host adds to his appeal. His voice is perfect for the job, and he has the right personality type not to overtake the contestants' fame and glory.

  • Cindy Whitsel - 3 years ago

At first I didn't think Buzzy would make a good host. He sure changed my mind. For me it is a toss up between
    Buzzy and Mike Richards.

  • Connie - 3 years ago

Buzzy Cohen is my favourite by a long shot. His great voice and articulation alone should land him the permanent job. Loving the ToC. Two thumbs way up for Buzzy!

  • Lenore Richley - 3 years ago

Buzzy's voice is so much better than Ken's. He has a clear easy to listen to tone I can hear from another room. I think Buzzy has natural charisma and a playful persona that sort of reminds me of Alex. I hope he lands the job!

  • Frances Casey - 3 years ago

    Mike Richards was best.

  • Maureen Lowery-Albright - 3 years ago

Question marks for Buzzy are supposed to be thumbs UP & thumbs Down for the other one.

  • Maureen Lowery-Albright - 3 years ago

ABSOLUTELY!!! ???????????? Intelligent, charming, endearing with a personality that can't be beat. We, the fans, don't need or want an egomaniacal football player???? yuck!

  • Laurie - 3 years ago

Buzzy is a “natural”. He exuded confidence and a great “self deprecating” sense of humor as a contestant. Alex Trebek commented that the finals (when Buzzy was a contestant) were more fun and congenial than most.
He is so outstanding in the hosting role that one would assume he has hosted other shows and has experience in that occupation. Hire Buzzy Cohen!

  • PJ Kidwell - 3 years ago

I think Buzzy is the best all around guest host so far. He is knowledgeable, has a great personality, and relates well with the contestants! PJ Kidwell

  • Mariela Gonzalez - 3 years ago

Love Ken, but Buzzy is so engaging and so much fun to watch. He has it all - style and substance, and a natural charm that makes him supremely likable. Oh yes, and the credibility. He’s been where those players are at and rose to become a champion among champions. I would love to see him take the ultimate Jeopardy honor by succeeding our beloved Alex.

  • Laurie - 3 years ago

Buzzy is great! I would love to see him get the job. He has the right personality and Jeopardy street cred. I love Ken, but Buzzy has more natural ease and charm in front of the camera.

  • John - 3 years ago

Although I do like Mike Richards, and Ken Jennings, buzzy Cohen really is the best. I think we all love Kern because he was a former champion, and the goat! But Ken comes across a little stiff on television. Mike Richards also came across very well as the guest host and deserves to be the second nod for me. Buzzy Cohen has the style the charm and the personality, along with the quick work to be the continuing and ongoing host of jeopardy. I wish him all the best!

  • Mary Miller - 3 years ago

Buzzy is the one to take over hosting jeopardy

  • Lisa - 3 years ago

Buzzy is OUTSTANDING! Impeccable style, sharp, great with the contestants and a class act. He was made to do this! Buzzy all the way!!!!

  • Sue Russell - 3 years ago

I still prefer Ken Jennings , he is by far the best and I think Alex would approve !!

  • Sharon Galliamore - 3 years ago

Watching him is still strange, but I like his delivery. He seems much more relaxed in this role than the others up to now. However, I will give each an equal chance before giving my favorite. Sadly, there is not another Alex Trebec!

  • Fred G - 3 years ago

Leaning toward Buzzy, although Ken was awesome!

  • Ellen - 3 years ago

I really did not care for Buzzy to begin with. But now, I think he is doing fantastic! Buzzy for Host!!

  • Gary - 3 years ago

I was favoring Ken before Buzzy came on. I think he is by far the best. He seems like he has been hosting for years. Aaron Rogers....seriously?

  • Marilyn Reid - 3 years ago

Buzzy is the only one who speaks clearly. It makes it a pleasure to watch the show again. I think he is tge most like Alex also. Go Buzzy!

  • JO YOUNG - 3 years ago

Buzzy is too goofy! At first we just thought he was nervous but it continued. He would be better doing a kid's show...This is one of our favorite shows to watch but this week it was so disappointing.

He just doesn't have the same professionalism to be the one to follow in Alex's footsteps. It does appear, however that a lot of his close friends are providing good comments ..... Our choice would be either Aaron Rodgers or Anderson Cooper. Both did a great job, professional and funny without being Goofy! Not sure we will continue watching if he is chosen.

  • Zazuzazz - 3 years ago

If Buzzy’s on board, it’s a no brainer!

  • Betty - 3 years ago

No! He’s too loud and obnoxious.

  • Ronald Burke - 3 years ago

Buzzy is the best! Thanks to Katie Couric, Ken Jennings was only second worst!

  • Bridget - 3 years ago

I personally liked Aaron Rodgers. Classy, talented and good looking.

  • A. M. McCullough - 3 years ago

Hands down, it's BUZZY all the way. Cheerful, energetic, intelligent, handsome, and obviously loves the game. My significant other and I saw him as the heir apparent when he was a contestant, and he has lived up to that promise. PLEASE keep him as permanent host!

  • Anna Hartley - 3 years ago

Ken Jennings has been the best guest host for Jeopardy!

  • Anna ruhl - 3 years ago

Agree with all the positive comments. Buzzy is polished and smart and affable. I like his connection to Alex and also appreciate his youthfulness. He brings a sparkle to the show.
    Please pick him !

  • Mary E - 3 years ago

Buzzy has been awesome! I thought Ken Jennings and Mike (the Executive Producer) were great but Buzzy had done an awesome job...clear, concise, outgoing, and personable! I love his enthusiasm!
