I clocked from san francisco
15451 dn 1605 up which is about a little over 1mb per second dn and 1/5 mbps up on Comcast on in silicon valley costs me about $33 per month. Id love to have verizon Fiber optic running to my house but they dont offer it here, yet. And Brady if your DSL numbers are right its time to move out of the stone age. $200 a month for 3/4 of megabyte is horrendous these days, Id only expect that if you lived in Russia or something.
Well I tested this at the office, I have 100MB up and down, but it costs $3000 a month, does that count?

I'm running on the Tufts University college network on a brand new 2.8 MacBook Pro, wired in on a standard line. Since the college network is set up differently than that of the public sector, the speeds are insane. Based on speedtest.net and the Bangor, ME server, I'm getting 93,750 kbps down and 45,489 up. A whole CD on iTunes downloads in just several seconds...
I found my speed to be over 1GB/sec. Funny to see speeds from 12 years ago.
