The U.K. now allows gay and bisexual men to donate blood, and asks everyone about their sexual history before they're allowed to donate. Thoughts?
Shouldn't we still be worried about HIV/AIDS? I think this puts more people at risk.
About time! These old bans and restrictions on gay and bi men giving blood are archaic and homophobic. The U.S. should follow suit.
I think it's rather intrusive to ask about sexual history. This would make me not want to give blood.
I think it's more than appropriate to ask potential blood donors about their sexual history — if you're sexually risky, maybe you shouldn't be giving blood.
This is not an issue I care about.
