Loved it, especially as having had the HBUC experience. Would love to see Simone and Jordan try to maintain their marriage while navigating freshmen life as well. Good to see the HBUC experience portrayed once again onscreen. Has definitely been missed.

This first look at Homecoming doesn't appear as if it will be able to go as many places, creatively, as the original series has. We already know Damon is a great player and he and the coach will always hold each other and the team accountable in terms of playing with integrity, but with Spencer and coach Baker there was always some gray area in how far they would go to get what they wanted, and there were a number of interesting relationships they had with other characters who affected the decisions they ultimately made about the game.
This pilot failed to introduce any strong supporting characters or subplots. Outside of Damon wanting to connect with his biological family which is a rehash of Spencer reconnecting with his father, all we get is Simone's determination to play tennis again and Amara's commitment to expose corruption in the community. "Homecoming" just doesn't appear to offer much in my opinion.

I fell in love with All American, the characters the hole dynamic as the group.I really wish they would have not gone off the path I personally won't be watching.

I liked this backdoor pilot episode. It will be interesting to see Simone going to Bringston College for education and to play tennis. Maybe Spencer, Jordan, and Olivia will make guest appearances in future episodes of All American: Homecoming. Nice to see Camille Hyde (Thea) on this show. She played Alexandra Cabot on Katy Keene (Riverdale's spinoff).

Love this new spin off. I actually thought the story seemed to be heading to spin off before I read this article. Too bad for Jordan & Simone's marriage/relationship though. It seems the writers will be dissolving it and I love them together. Anyhoo, I'll be continuing to tune in for ALL this Black Excellence!

I loved the show. Specially the fact that they are highlighting tennis and baseball. I hope Simone and Jordan can remain married. This show spoke volumes they will have a problem.
