I would like to see Mel eventually find out that she has twins. If her body was at the right point to be able to accept the embryo forb implantation, hormone wise, she certainly could have ovulated and gotten pregnant 2 days later when she and Jack were intimate. THAT would be a crazy twist, but so awesome. Those speculating that the twins aren't his... If there was a possibility that they weren't, she would have said so by now and moved on. It would be so much easier.

I absolutely love Virgin River. And I’m so deeply moved by each character. I can’t get enough of how Mel and Jack love one another. So real to me. Each character is so special to this show. We all have our own opinions about how we want the show to go,but I honestly wouldn’t change a thing. Please Netflix get more seasons out quicker. With all this going on in the world around us we need Virgin River with all it’s wonderful talented actors to keep this storyline going.I do wish that Lilly had more time with the show because she was a loving and kind inspiration. Every actor is great at each person they’re portraying which keeps you wanting more and more of Virgin River. Please let’s see Season 4 ASAP. And more after that.

I love this programme, gutted with the ending, just want them two to be happy, n married off! They are so great together. There is always a problem for some reason, Jack dont deserve that,! I do love all the characters though. So sad about Lilly. Maybe a bit more happy news then sad in next season. Iv really enjoyed it tho, n cant wait for the next season. It best be Jack's baby!! He has been thru enough! And want to know who shot Jack too.

  • Debbie - 3 years ago

I think we will find out that Jack is sterile…
    Mel used her embryos…
Charmaine was with someone else and got pregnant…

  • Robert - 3 years ago

I agree with Judy too much desperation and pain and and horrible things to happen writers think that they got to do that to sell a series I mean it's it's just just bad sometimes just bad just horrible you know they feel they got to kill off the hero cheat in relationships you know just just do horrible things get it's too much too many bad things is happening in season 3.I was attracted to this series because it was a happy series now all of a sudden it's like what else horrible can we do

  • Robert - 3 years ago

Ricky is too immature for girlfriend a job or anything else I'd hate to depend on him in the service maybe he might grow up being in the service but I sure hope so too immature for girlfriend I don't even know why she bother this way

  • Mike - 3 years ago

There was a better way to tell jack that Mel was (maybe) pregnant and the baby might not be his; try leading with the fact that Mel and her late husband had embryos stored at a facility, and she decided to have one implanted, or she could say she needed to tell him that she decided something important while she was out of town, and then cut to other characters having drama. What I really want to comment on is the love triangle drama with Lizzie, her bad boy and the puppy. Bad boy needs to go and stay gone, and Lizzie and puppy need to grow up and stop the gamesmanship drama! He should tell her he saw how she looked at her ex in the bar when that punk held her hands, and that she didn't pull away, and that display showed that whatever she says, she's not being real about her being done with her ex, with the further proof being that, rather than have a real conversation, she jumped right to the gotcha of calling him back to town, if he ever even actually left! Don't even get me started on the Charmaine drama, I really hope her fiance doesn't turn out to be the guy who raped Jack's sister. All of the above is my way of saying I'm invested in the series, I hope there's another season, but, the writers got some stuff to work on...

  • Jeanette Schmitt - 3 years ago

I agree with most of the comments. Enjoyed 1 and 2 but did not like how 3 ended. Too long to wait for 4 if it happens.

I am so disappointed in how these books are being reworked for Netflix…It’s especially disappointing to see how Preacher is being characterized. The Robyn Carr books are so full of rich detail it makes the TV show feel FLAT. The entire storyline that should be a Brie/Mike romance is a huge disappointment too. One line about how Mike wants Jack to know he’s interested in Brie? I wasn’t impressed with the first two seasons but loved the books so much that I’d hoped by this season Sue Tenney would have pulled it together. Not sure how much input Robyn Carr gets to give her, but if I was her I’d be pretty unhappy overall.

Love this series! I need Season 4!
Such a good story and love all the actors, the casting director did a great job!

  • sylvia Maria - 3 years ago

Love the series however, I was disappointed with season three. I am so tired of Melinda being such a whiner. She has such a great guy and she's always whining and crying. Please make her grow up. I can't stomach it. I'm watching the show cuz of the hunks jack and Brady. Where can one find a Jack? He's the perfect man. Let's bring Hope back me to season I love her spunk

  • Janet Harris - 3 years ago

I absolutely love love love this show.
I was a little upset at the end of season 3 how do you leave people hanging that way. That was not very nice but an awesome job to leave people wanting more. I would recommend Virgin River to anyone. My heart is aching for more. And I think its Jack's baby Mel is having, they make such an adorable couple. I did not know anything about the books but I will be hunting them up to read. PLEASE HAVE MORE VIRGIN RIVER!!!!!!!

  • Nicole - 3 years ago

I liked season 3, but the dialogues are short and so now and then really abrupt. I like the characters very much, but the pregnancy of Mel seemed to be me unrealistic in a sense that the positivity of the IVF seems coming out of the air. Why just not be the Child Jack’s?

I love this series. Have read all Robyn Carr’s books - the series doesn’t stay true to them. Rather a shame really as Robyn is such a great author, I don’t know why there is such a need to chop and change things. Charmaine is a true pain in the neck she wasn’t pregnant with twins in the books, a minor player. I do note that other characters of the whole series are slowly being brought in though, as different ones meet and marry. Virgin River is such a lovely town is residents become so close with one another. The only thing I will say is that I hope the storyline stays truer to the original storyline’s. I could not put down the books when reading and the series is addicting too. It’s a long wait to series 4.

  • Judy Johnson - 3 years ago

I loved all 21 books but I don't like how its been reworked. Charmaine was so minor and not pregnant. Hope a minor character and not married to Doc. Jack was never shot. Brie ends up with Mike after a horrendous rape by a felon she procecuted and Preacher takes care of and marries Paige who has not accidentally killed her ex who has a twin. Oh yes, and Jack marries Mel who is happily carrying his child! How will the writers ever get anyone out of the convoluted mess they've created!!!

  • Flo - 3 years ago

I love Virgin River it's a good show Even though there is some cliffhangers I would like to know for sure who is the father of Mel's baby it just depends and also I like to know who shot Jack that was a big cliffhanger too but Virgin River is still my favorite show and I would like to see season 4 and even more seasons after that and I hope that Netflix will sign a contract to let them keep the show on Netflix.

  • Denise Scroggs - 3 years ago

I was actually mad when it came to the end and there was no more I have to wait if there's going to be a four season.
Losing Lily was heartbreaking and going through the funeral and you didn't even get to have time to recover when hope is fighting for her life. And then they ended not knowing if that's Jack's baby and what's going to happen to them. And what about preacher a little Christopher what's going to happen to them.
I love the show though I wanted to continue.

  • Gwenevere N. Pace - 3 years ago

Broke my heart that Lilly died so soon...but the scene played out well...her daughter in the show showed so much real emotion over the death of Lilly...she nailed it...disappointed that Mel would get her frozen eggs inseminated within days of a spat...I can understand hurt and devastation...but I'm playing from real life...you don't make such life changing decisions within a day or two...when Paige returns, if ever...real life...you don't just dispose of bodies even if it was an accident and the person is a real jerk...interested in the legal line on this on for Preacher, Paige, and yes Connie she has been complicit...she knows about it...Give Jack a little break...the spring under his house, cap, it divert it or something...at least give the man a home again...I have to wait until July 2022 for Season 4...I fininished Season 3 over the course of about 36 hours...????????????????????????????

  • Claudine - 3 years ago

I’ve read all the books. But the show doesn’t follow them enough so it’s a different story line. But that’s okay. As someone else said the times didn’t fit. And Charmaine must not be pregnant since she isn’t showing even a tiny bit. But hey it’s fantasy as all soap operas are so let’s just enjoy

  • Carol Ochs - 3 years ago

Does anyone remember? In the episode with Lilly's funeral, when Jack comes to pick up Mel at her cabin to go....just before he arrives, Mel is on the phone with someone talking about a wire transfer of money that went through and receiving documents she would sign and return the next day. What was that about???

And there was nothing to prove Mel had an embryo implanted. Everything I've seen on all 3 seasons of VR is pretty medically accurate, so it would be odd for writers to deviate on accuracy with IVF protocol. Maybe the embryos did not survive and Mel opted for a sperm donor cocktail instead?

Just guessing at some of the small details that went unexplained or unverified....but must have been set up in the storyline for a reason...a future reason.

  • Sandra House - 3 years ago

Please don't cancel this series, there are 3 of us seniors at our farm(2 homes) watching it. We feel you left no closure with the 3 season. Have not read the books don't want to ruin season 4. So get to it please

  • Dee Morris - 3 years ago

Iam,among others, addicted to Virgin River, Mel,Jack, and Dr. are my favorites especially. Season 3 has left my head spinning. No one gets a happy ending, no one is getting along as a couple. Hardly uplifting. Too many loose ends, unexplained and so puzzling. Not what I call a cliffhanger, more like a soap opera mess, unfathomable since I've tried to sort out these dramas. I think Mel was hasty and insensitive with her pregnancy reveal. Poor Jack, it's a wonder he doesn't just give up. He was too hasty too when he got so shook up about Mel's desire for a baby. And Mel reacted poorly to his reaction. I like the " love will see us through, together we are stronger" spirit much better. I hope they get back to this eventually. If Session 4 ends this badly, I will feel cheated and sorry to have been a fan.

  • Mic - 3 years ago

It should have been Hope instead of Lilly. Hope was not missed this season and is so annoying. Mel’s character needs to act a little more mature. What boyfriend wouldn’t want to bolt if you told him you wanted a baby when he has so much drama surrounding twins still in the womb?! Geez, you don’t even live together! Well just because of a house fire.

  • Gwen Oldershaw - 3 years ago

I haven't read any of the books, but I am thoroughly enjoying the series. Season 3 in my mind allowed us to reflect on our own lives in many ways. Yes it is a TV show, but people die of cancer every day- which affects their families and friends left behind in so many different ways. People get caught up in gossip and drama in small communities- part of life. But then again small communities rally round when someone needs help. I have a feeling that Mel's baby will end up being Jack's. In other words, I lived Season 3 as much as Seasons 1 and 2. Can't wait for Season 4!!

  • Jean C. - 3 years ago

The ending of Season 3 was a finale of almost every character. I have never seen that before. They cannot leave us hanging with "maybe a season 4". I haven't read any of the books. I would like to see an explanation for each character.

  • Amy - 3 years ago

I liked season 3. However, I hate how Charmaine is supposed to be having twins and is still in her skinny jeans. Oh, and I can't stand Charmaine. I didn't miss hope because the actress who portrays her has such weird facial expressions and movements. Very distracting. If mel couldn't get pregnant with Mark after so many tries is she just miraculously pregnant now to Jack? Doesn't make much sense. All that being said, looking forward to season 4.

  • Shari - 3 years ago

I loved season 3. Yes it is unlikely for Mel to get pregnant but guys this is drama! And I just loved Jack's face when Mel told him the baby may not be his. Yes, Hope is a pill as someone said but IRL don't we know couples that thrive on drama? I think it's great that they allow people to grow through it. The hospital scenes with doc are spot on real life and so tender. They had better bring Preacher back or I will have a fit!!!

  • K.R. Henderson - 3 years ago

I do like the show! I love the scenery. I love the soundtrack. I'm only through Episode 4 of Season 3 and now that I've read the spoiler comments, I am still looking forward to watching Episodes 4-10 and already can't wait for Season 4. When art imitates life, it's special. But, I also remember that this show is for entertainment. I just may have to read the books to see why so many people seem disappointed. Right now, my ignorance is bliss.

  • June - 3 years ago

I laughed when I watched the ending! Do they think we’re stupid? Mel would have had to be in the exact time of her cycle. Taking fertility drugs and less than a 10% chance of getting pregnant the first try! It’s not easy to get pregnant by artificial insemination!!!!!L you just cant walk into a clinic get inseminated and get pregnant!
But we are asked to believe it’s true! Mel had just a week in LA, walked into the clinic with no preparation of drugs or shots at the exact time of her month and possible got pregnant!?

  • Karen Schumann - 3 years ago

I love this show, can't wait until next season comes out. Lily dying, for me, made this show more realistic. Bad things happen to good people.
Living in Northern California, tea candles lit all over a pond in Jack and Mel's romantic scene was a little unrealistic now because of the fire situation here...it sort of stressed me out, along with his house fire, the whole forest around his house would have caught on fire.
But, all in all...LOVE Jack and Mel...men need to take notes on how to treat the women they love...he is so sweet.

  • HET - 3 years ago

I thoroughly enjoyed seasons one and two, but after reading all 19 books between season two and three I am very disappointed in the many changes made to Robyn Carr's original storylines. The books are so much better. I did not enjoy season three. I hope they can get closer to the original storyline in future seasons.

  • Brenda - 3 years ago

I also believe Mel's baby is Jack's. There should not have been a discussion between Mel and Mark about trying for another baby if they had embryos. Mark would still be alive. However,I want the baby to be Jack's
Lilly was such a special person and will surely be missed. How did doc have a grandson and with who. I love this show and wish it had 2 seasons a year.

  • Ingela Lof - 3 years ago

I fell in love with this show but sadly season 3 fell flat. To much going on, timelines made no sense. Mel had a depressed face more or less the whole time, which was hard to watch. Hopefully season 4 will be more like 1 and 2. I haven’t given up on the show.

  • Jo - 3 years ago

Love the show, season 3 was very sad I cry. We need season 4 please and hope for an happen ending.

  • Cathy - 3 years ago

I was disappointed in Season 3. No resolution to way too many things. There had better be a Season 4. I was hoping for Jack's paternity test--which was mentioned by his lawyer for a reason, I thought. A grand outcome would be that the twins are not his!!!! Kudos to Charmain's character. She is impossible to like and dimwitted. As for Hope, there is no hope. She is such an unbelievable and shallow character. Putting her in this show is like putting a square peg in a round hole.

  • Sharon - 3 years ago

Loved season 1 and2. As for season 3 too many plots to try and keep up with. Although Mel and Jack have/had their issues I believe the baby is Jacks. Mel was only in LA for 2 days and she comes back and then she pregnant after two days. Seriously?

  • Jc - 3 years ago

Loved season 1 and 2. Found season 3 super slow and boring and the storyline so unbelievable. Won’t be watching season 4

  • Caroline - 3 years ago

Having read the books this series is based on, I am highly disappointed. Most so with season 3. I can hardly stand to watch my beloved book series be misrepresented this way.

  • L allen - 3 years ago

Loved seasons 1 snd 2. Sorry, but season 3 looked like it was put together with 8 or 10 people in a Zoom meeting, each person contributing about 10 lines and then someone else putting it together. Too many loose ends, Preacher directing the kids show or did he? IVF baby in a day or so? Hope away for too many reasons, none of which are very believable, Preacher drugged or dead in the woods and nobody notices except for one or two lines? and so on. Too many crises in too short a time. You can do better!

  • debbie - 3 years ago

i love the series and i was just getting into the story and all of a sudden it was over i was happy the 3rd season was here and now how long do we have to wait for the 4th ?????? i watched the 3rd season in 4 days and now its all done very disappointing!!!! how do all of you feel about it????

These people are idiots. They can't get out of their own way.
    No one is that stupid.
    I quit watching immediately.

This is such an awesome show... I was particularly affected by " Lilly's" pancreatic diagnosis because I have been a very, very fortunate 4% survivor of this aggressive and devastating cancer.. what really shocked me is that I even suffered from "survivor's guilt" and shed many tears ..even though it's just a show, but Lilly was such a special person that it felt so real.
The other experience I personally related to was when Mel lost her baby... I lost my first baby when she was 3 days old... so again.. tears and recapping those grief stricken times .. all made so tangible by the excellent acting in this show .
Please don't stop ..the fans want more.. way more yet :)
All the very best for the future

Love this show. Mel and Jack make the best couple! Got a little tired of the Hope situation . Great cast

  • Susan - 3 years ago

I have been a fan since season 1. I love all the characters and hope I won’t have to wait a tear for season 4

  • Dee - 3 years ago

If it is not Jack's..I'm through with all the times I watch 1 and 2 ..Virgin River over for me ...

  • Becca - 3 years ago

    It’s Jacks baby no doubt!

  • Karen Sanders - 3 years ago

I loved the first two seasons. As a mother who used IVF, I’m appalled at the ridiculousness of the ending storyline.

  • Theresa - 3 years ago

I love the show and I think the baby is Jacks.

  • Mary - 3 years ago

I was so disappointed in this season. And the cliffhanger was very predictable I have to admit I have lost interest. Too many cliffhanger questions to answer them it’s going to swallow the next season. Will he join the army? Will she make it thru the accident? Is it his baby? Will she keep the twins from him? Will they marry? Who shot Jack? All this season did was ask questions.

  • Judy feld - 3 years ago

Too many negatives with death, macular degeneration, pregnancy +2,hope not there and in a flood, Fail romance. Nothing much at all happy in Virgin River.
Sad. Too much disappointment. And it depressed th his viewer.

  • Susan - 3 years ago

While I love a virgin River I felt
They tried to shove too many stories into Season 3. ???????????? for Season 4

  • Kate Macfarlane - 3 years ago

Having come very late to Virgin River I Bunge watched the first two series and all episodes of series 3 the day it was released. The storylines are complex, the acting amazing and each series ending leaves you crying out for more.

  • Liz Teegarden - 3 years ago

Love the show and was really looking forward to it but I am disappointed with Season 3. It's missing the "thing" that made the first 2 seasons special. All the negative things happening really outweighs anything positive that was trying to give you any warm and fuzzies.

  • Sue - 3 years ago

Virgin River is an escape - a wonderful escape! My only complaint is again having to wait so long between seasons. Can't wait for Season 4.

  • Dixie - 3 years ago

I am really disappointed in season 3. There was too much storyline involving Hope who was missing from the show. I also find it very interesting that charmaine's pregnancy with twins is barely showing. And then Mel disappears to LA call her doctor, and it's setting up to be like she's using her and Mark's frozen embryo. Then "10 days later", she knows she's pregnant? There's some real holes in these pregnancy story lines. She would have gone through some kind of discussion with her doctor before implanting those embryos. I'm very disappointed in season 3.

  • Mary Schmidt - 3 years ago

I believe the baby is Jacks and the twins are not his.
