COVID vaccines: If you haven't taken one yet, which of these best characterizes the reason why?

Natural immunity. VAERS reported side effects. Politicization off this disease/shot. Push for treatments that line the pockets of big pharm and mandates to restrict effective treatments. Nuff said.

why didn't the vote have a spot for the people who already have had covid, and feel like they already have superior natural antibodies? that's my position.

It is already known that antibody levels start to drop after 4 months. It will probably be a once a year vaccine at this rate. Like many diseases, the first known treatment is not the best long term treatment. If the vaccines are not noticeably improved, then an antiviral medication will need to be developed.

I have been in the hot spot from day one and I am sure I have been exposed. I never had a fever and my oxygen levels never dropped. Although I am 57yo, I am in good health and rarely ever get sick.

As far as me being a super spreader, the strong will survive and the week will die. The virus is all over the world and mutating as we speak.

We personally know over 100 people from our church that were vaccinated and then got sick with the delta variant - over 10 are still in the hospital now 3 weeks later.

Both myself, and nearly all my immediate family have had Covid. None of us were hospitalized, including my 82 and 83 year old brother and his wife (both diabetic BTW). Having said that, we have natural immunity and have been tested. No, I would not EVER get a vaccine for something I'd already had nor would I get a vaccine that is not completely vetted by the FDA.

After convincing myself a few days ago that I had contracted the virus, I was diagnosed with bronchitis instead, thankfully.
I had no intentions of getting the shot however, this bronchitis makes breathing extremely difficult which makes me realize I probably wouldn’t survive the virus.
As soon as I’m well enough, I’ll be getting the shots.

I fully respect and support anyone's right to get the vaccine if they so choose. However I choose not to get the vaccine at least at this time. The data suggests that it's not the virus that kills you but the fact that it allows any comorbidity you may have (such as diabetes, COPD, obesity, etc.) to affect you in a much more negative way than it ordinarily does. Since your immune system has been affected by the virus and is already weakened (even cancer treatments have this effect), your body is overcome by these comorbidities and this is what has caused the vast majority of deaths. The only checkmark I tick off is age (I'm 66 years old). However, I just had my compete physical including blood work and it shows I'm in excellent health. This is something I do every year including dental and vision examinations. While I know this is not a surefire guarantee that I won't contract it, odds are high that even if I do, my natural immune system will be up to the task of protecting me.

In March of 2020 I had trouble breathing, coughing, and sometimes become lung locked. I kept driving but after about the 3rd week I went to minor emergency all masked up. They checked me out and said my oxygen was really low. So they put me on an enibulizor machine for an hour and got my oxygen back up and the did lung x-rays. They just said I had a virus, go ahead and take your mask off and go home. They gave me a prescription for a steroid inhaler and it lasted about another week. So really I feel natural herd immunity is the best cause I tried the flu shot 3-4 times and each time I got really sick for a few days. I also have belief that this has been a political power control to see if they can put the fear into people for future propaganda, just my opinion. I’m sure there is a strong virus out there but there has been in the past also and we didn’t have to ruin a country over it. I feel it should be a personal preference wether to get a vaccination or wear a mask. If you feel compromised do so but don’t shame me if I don’t or restrict me for what I want to do. I definitely believe in personal hygiene is one of the best preventions. I do feel sorry for the loss of loved ones, but I bet at least 75% of those people had under lying diseases that they don’t report and a virus like this took them over the edge. That’s why I feel that a person needs to try and stay as healthy as possible with good food, exercise, and sleep. Thanks

Wife and I both had mild case back in Feb 2020. Just didn't feal right for 5-6 days and stomach diarrhea issues. I got J&J shot May 2021. No issues so far but wife is asthmatic/allergies and on steroids so since it turns out that steroids were used for some relief, that's my guess she she wasn't hit bad with lung issues. She probably won't get until FDA approves it or if she does early, done in the hospital for her to be monitored for couple days for reactions. Her doctor is not recommending yet in her case.

I’ve been out trucking this whole time. Not that Covid isn’t real but it’s been politicized from the beginning. What the media and government is telling us is not what I’m seeing in the real world. I’d gladly take my chances with getting covid then believe anything the government is telling us to do.

You are being lied to! No more people died in 2020 than died in the three years prior and besides the survival rate is 99.95%. The CDC own site changed the death numbers from 650,000 to 9500 deaths in the US. The vaccine is killing more people than virus ever thought about and besides if you take the vaccine you are are putting a known poison in your body and when they did the animal testing they stopped the testing because ALL the animals DIED. You are the test animal if you take this vaccine!

Very disappointed !!! I have read Overdrive for many years but may have to stop, looks like your becoming mainstream !!! I have family in the medical field also and if you and the media would push IVERMECTIN and some other treatments as much as you have pushed the vaccine this mess would have been over buy now !!! Really getting tired of people with big platforms pushing their agenda ! Just my thoughts from a 63 year old trucker that’s not scared. Danny

You ever watch the side effect disclaimer at the end of the drug commercials? Those are FDA Tested and Approved Drugs. The Vaccines have neither been Tested nor Approved. You have to ask yourself. What kind of side effects there will be with the vaccines? You may not know for years.

I have friends in the medical field as well I also have a niece who works as a Covid nurse which essentially means by the time she sees them there’s pretty much no chance left and saving that life. So my question is this when putting out this article that friends and family have the Delta variance I’m curious how you know that they have quit testing for the first three variance that came out because they didn’t cause enough deaths and there’s no test for the Delta variant so how is it that you’re able to write an article saying that that is what’s causing this illness?? I also have several stories of friends and awful side effects from the “vaccine”. . So my question back to the author of this article is why do you feel the vaccine is so important when it’s not stopping what’s going on anyways that is a fact because not all the people getting sick are unvaccinated that is completely false
