Who would you choose as full-time 'Jeopardy' host?

Many of the guest hosts performed very well. One who did NOT was Mayim Bialik. WHAT WERE YOU THINKING to pick her for any future option? She will be tripping all over her I'm a "REAL neuroscientist" ego onstage. The only worse choice would have been Dr. Oz. Levar Burton didn't even get a fair shake, given how chaotic scheduling for the Olympics was during his stint.

Face it guys..you blew it. Your legions of fans have never watched the show to be entertained by the host. Quirky contestants are hard enough to watch.

No to Mayim and especially no to Levar Burton. Mike Richards was an embarrassing choice! ken Jennings was great and he is what Jeopardy is all about!!

I like the Energy/Poise and Upbeat Chemistry that Joe Buck brought to the Show. He seemed to fit the position very well. Mayim Bialik will be Amazing as Well!

After reading this,I totally agree with this:

My first choice was Mike Richards. He was my favorite until I watched Joe Buck. I don't think they gave the audience a chance to weigh in about Joe Buck before they made the choice to give the spot to Mike. After seeing them all my 1st choice was Joe and 2nd was Mike.

He enjoyed being host and interacted best with the contestants.

Mike Richards , Mayim Bialik, Joe Buck all great. I’m not into sports so have no clue why some people don’t like Joe Buck. He needs his own show on something non sports related. I found him enlivening!

Why are the sponsor and TV execs playing this game, when they have already decided?

I am in total agreement with the choice of Mike Richards. From his first day and for months after I believed him to be the best replacement for Alex. I, however, do not agree with the choice of Bialik. She was way too “smiley” and giddy …one of my favorites on Big Bang but not for Jeopardy!! As much as many people do to like Buck as a sportscaster, there is no getting around the fact that he was a wonderful host…dynamic but not overly silly or dramatic…fun!! My choice for the 2nd host. And as much as Lavar Burton is a wonderful person and a fine humanitarian he was just not good at hosting Jeopardy, he was one of the weakest hosts…kudos to the management team for not succumbing to the recent pressures to adhere to diversity…it is important but not fair when choosing who is the best for the job!!!

I think Mike Richards is the Worst choice. It should have been Joe Buck or Jennings.

I'd pick Faber, Bialik, or Rodgers. Roberts, Cohen, and Buck would also be excellent choices, and Jennings would be logical (if a bit awkward). I don't mind Richards but he didn't leave an impression on me. Faber might be my #1 because he felt like he'd been doing it for years. Though Rodgers was a pleasant surprise, I doubt he'd have the ability to balance it with football. It would be a tough decision for him. I wish Buck was as fun of a sports announcer as he was a Jeopardy host.

Burton was a letdown; his first episode was the worst performance of any guest host. People support him because they oppose equal opportunity and want to pick someone based on skin color. Let's not label people and instead judge by performance. LeVar was too exuberant and too much about himself. It was distracting. He's a good choice on paper but didn't end up being the right fit. Bring Reading Rainbow back instead.

David Faber and Robin Roberts were my favorites. They seem relaxed and fit the part. Joe Buck did better than I expected but seemed like a young kid in a candy store. Not sure how he would be without pal Matt being the continuous winner who I adore, too. He’s got a lot of information retained in his brain. Are we sure he’s not a computer? Lol.

Sick and tired of "diversity" nonsense. Burton was one of the worst hosts. Jerky and non-witty at all. Not to mention his shameless self-promotional campaign. No other host behaved that way. The choice is right. Of course, sentimental choice would be Ken Jennings, but with all due respect and admiration for him, he seemed to be not very comfortable in this role.

I think Mike Richards will do a good job. He was not my number 1 pick but I don't have a problem with him getting the job. I did not think Lavar Burton did a good job at all. He was too slow and abrupt. So happy they did not choose him. Apparently only 6% of the people that voted thought that he did a good job. I thought Joe Buck and Makim would also have been good choices. Time will tell if Mike is the right fit.

Not a fan of Mike Richards. Why did he get to select himself? Would have loved Ken Jennings! Everyone associates him with Jeopardy!

  • Marc - 3 years ago

I am happy with the selected hosts esp Mayim. So many are fans if Lavar but I just was not a fan. Not sure why he was a fan favorite to be honest.

    Joe Buck is exceptional
Didn’t really know much about him.
Humour , wit, intelligence, relatability, just the best!!!
I am at true jeopardy fan
    Thought Joe was the guy!!

I think the choice for Mike Richards was an excellent one. Of all the guest hosts, there were only a few who maintained the rhythm, cadence and flow of the show. Buzzy Cohen was one, Aaron Rodgers did a really good job and Robin Roberts and Mayim Bialik were very good. Ken Jennings has the worst stage presence ever. So glad he was not chosen. It would have ruined my future for watching the show after a faithful 38 years. Even watched the daytime show when Art Fleming was host. I have been in your contestant pool at least three times after taking the test and passing the in person test and interview but have never made it to the show. It was always a lifelong ambition mine and now I fear I am too old to keep up with the young ones on the buzzer. I wish you would bring back the senior tournament. There are an incredible number of lifelong fans and as seniors, we could definitely use.
Looking forward to the next season and will always have a memory of Alex Trebek in my heart. The past weeks of guest hosts and the donations to charity each week were a fitting tribute to the celebration of the wonderful life of such a gracious and humane individual.

Mayim and David Faber would be better than your choice.
Your guy isn't as good as Faber, Faber has class, polite

  • Elizabeth Kenned - 3 years ago

Maybe it would have been better not to have guest hosts at all. Maybe Alex's successor should.have been decided by the show itself. That way maybe there would be less bickering.. I liked all of them really. It makes really no difference to me as to who is hosting. I just like the game and watch the contestants compete against each other. That's what it is all about ---the contestants

We have had 2 very fine hosts so for ( will miss Alex ) , Mayim was a good pick but LaVar more than held his own in this competition and its time for diversity in todays world , If he would not have proved him self then i would not be saying he SHOULD have the job . Its no longer a black and white thing in this world we are ALL in this together . He did better than most and as well as your top 3 males . Its a shame ,that network failed to move into a new demographic and have the forsight that the world is full of people not colors that one day i hope becomes true !
