While I would much rather see a great game, I think the tailgate is so appealing because its all about the anticipation of the great game we imagine we are going to be a part of! Once we get to kickoff, you have TV timeouts, long halftimes and by the 3rd quarter you're already thinking about traffic...especially if its a bad game.
Every tailgate is good. Only some games are.
