Do you agree with Jeff Probst's decision to retire the "Come on in, guys!" catchphrase?

THIS COMMENT SECTION SHOWS THE WORST OF HUMANITY.... I DON'T LIKE THE CHANGE OF THE "COME ON IN, GUYS", BUT WHAT MOST PEOPLE ARE COMMENTING IS DISGUSTING. Y'ALL SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF YOURSELVES! DISGRACEFUL.

This nation needs to quit its obsession with offending everyone & everything. My god, just leave it alone already. By trying to not offend everyone for every little thing, we’re actually creating more divide! So ridiculous! It’s a huge turnoff for me and I’ve been with Survivor since Season 1. Really disappointing.

Really, “Come on in guys” that he has been saying forever is gone, because 1 person had a problem with it? This WOKE ass BS has to go. Jeff doesn’t care though, he even said you can leave a comment about it on Twitter, but he would never read the comments anyway, so he doesn’t really care what the fans (that make the ratings) say. They say Survivor is a “Social experiment”…yet some pansy got his feelings hurt, and it’s SOCIALLY UNACCEPTABLE NOW to say “Come on in guys”. Why did the 1 that had a problem with it get his way, but the one that didn’t have a problem not get her way? Since you want to be so PC…there you go with your GENDER INEQUALITY…didn’t you Jeff, just say to Lucinda on Season 40 that you were going to stop doing that? Yet you gave a man his way, and told the woman that her opinion didn’t really matter.

Just started watching season 41 episode 1. Jeff Probst you are pathetic. CBS you suck! As you can see by this poll most people agree with me. Just watched my last show ever. Thanks for the memories but I don’t need wokism and every nationality to be represented. I assume you just have to get a homosexual or a black to win right. You’re washed up Jeff even your ex wife agrees.

  • Kat - 3 years ago

Survivor goes woke. Have watched this show from day one. Now I won’t be watching. The word guy is unisex. To be offended by that word is ludicrous!!!!!! Tolerance needs to work both ways.

  • Annie - 3 years ago

I was so excited for Survivor 41 to start, it’s been my favorite show for 20 yrs but it lost so much credibility for me just from first episode. Why did Jeff have to change his dialogue Bc he has more queer, gay or transgender people on show. Or comment on how this season has more brown, black, Chinese and gay like they were kept away before! Give me a break! U are ruining the show!

  • TJ - 3 years ago

Sorry too woke for me now……I’m cancelling Survivor from my list of shows worth watching.

  • Natalie - 3 years ago

I cancelled my cable because it didn’t make sense to pay for it just to watch Survivor and the Bachelor/Bachelorette. After Chris Harrison got cancelled due to wokeness I stopped watching that. Now I will stop watching Survivor. No more escapism. No more entertainment. Great time to be living..

So are we going to change the famous “ the tribe has spoken” to “ your friends have spoken” it just as silly as changing “come on in guys”. Please change it back quickly!!

  • Hoy - 3 years ago

I hate that Jeff let the one week minded guy change the awesome phrase that every survivor fan has come to love.. come on guys !!! Change it back!!! We love the “come on in guys” it’s been a part of survivor life for 20 years .. it just seems so Not Survivor with just “ come on in” ????

  • esmr - 3 years ago

I’m from the South where we say, “Ya’ll” to include everyone. My Yankee cousins say, “Youse guys.” I suppose in this universe I should have been offended for 20 years of Jeff saying, “Come on in, guys,” because it’s not how we speak down here. Good grief!

  • Robert - 3 years ago

So, everyone has to cave to the whims of the lowest common denominator because that’s the world we apparently live in now. No one wants to be labeled a “_phobe”.
Not only that, we have to reassure the person we’re catering to that they’re “so brave” for “speaking their truth”.
Seriously, we can’t tell someone who thinks their “husband” is pregnant that he’s bat-shit crazy??
The inmates are running the asylum.

  • Andrew - 3 years ago

Everyone else was okay with it and suddenly when one person has problem, the saying they need to change it. I was excited for this show to return and it let me down.

  • Paul Folse - 3 years ago

I have been watching Survivor for 20 years will never watch this woke show again

  • tony - 3 years ago

I've watched every episode of survivor....last night was my last so sorry he caved in

  • Bifster - 3 years ago

If Jeff thought it was time to go why didn't he just stop using it? Cheap act to draw attention. Goes along with the durag flap.

  • Sean - 3 years ago

Any respect I had for ricard is gone

  • Steven - 3 years ago

Pathetic. ONE person doesn't like being called guys and they change a staple of a show that has been on 20+ years. Quit catering to the people who are offended by every little thing. If you don't like "come on in guys" don't play the game and don't watch. Grow the hell up!!!! Enough is enough!

  • Gary - 3 years ago

You are certainly entitled to your opinion and your right to change to appease a select few. That is what everyone is doing now. On the flip side, I am entitled to be offended by the show and the host caving in to such a ridiculous topic. Just change the name of the show to Woke Survivor. I am truly sorry that a show that I immensely enjoyed/loved has made this decision. My decision, and I will assume a lot of others will be as well, is to never watch this show again. I sincerely hope your ratings plummet. When they do, I hope you understand it was because of asinine decisions like this.

  • Misty - 3 years ago

We say “y’all” and other say “you guys”…..it’s inclusive in my eyes.

  • Anonymous - 3 years ago

This is absure. Why are so many people special snowflakes? How is “guy” offensive in any form or way? Again, this is ridiculous.

  • Sidney Moehlman - 3 years ago

I had to give up football and now Survivor. This woke crap has got to go. They need get Survivor back to like it was the frist 3 episodes. That was Survivor.

  • Luke - 3 years ago

Screw Ricard for bringing it up again, i don’t think anyone else on the the show besides him had a problem with it and it’s not fair they changed a survivor tradition of over 20 years just because some prick decided he was offended by it. Grow a pair of balls you piece of shit and deal with it, stop bringing politics into the only show I watch, I hope Ricard gets voted off soon

  • Kelly - 3 years ago

How can I begin! I’m so sad. I love Survivor. I’ve raised my children on Survivor. Now it’s just another cheap political feel good politically correct trap. Why? Women are fine with the inclusive word guys. We are not fine with people insisting Men can have babies , and we are all now just Birthing people not Mothers. Give it a rest . I just want to be entertained one night a week. God help us !!!

  • Bob - 3 years ago

It is a show staple! I say it with him everytime. Its not a gender thing or race thing or anything like that, so didn't need to be.l changed!

  • Bonnie - 3 years ago

Guys is a catchall term, not to be taken literally to only mean males. I'm a hetero female, and I wouldn't be the slightest offended. This world is becoming too sensitive to snowflakes, and I'm disgusted that Survivor has to join in on the political agenda. I wish they would spend more time on the game itself, rather than this ridiculousness. They further pushed the agenda by talking about two of the lesbian players. Is that really necessary? Again, can't we just play the game? If the guy who was offended because Jeff said guys, then he's not strong enough to play a game called Survivor.

  • Arod - 3 years ago

You’ve already stocked the show where heterosexual people are the minority, of course some queer is gonna have a problem

  • Arnold Rodriguez - 3 years ago

This will be my last year of survivor if I can even make it through this year. One idiot doesn't like "guys", why not take a vote? Idiots giving in to the woke people will do survivor in. I won't be able to survive any longer.

  • Mike george - 3 years ago

Really? Politics and political correctness have invaded my favorite (only) show I watch. You are losers. Been looking so forward to this season so much and now I can’t watch. Stupid! Wake up!

  • Mark DiNatale - 3 years ago

I’m super open minded, but this is just stupid.

  • RJ - 3 years ago

Totally ridiculous. Just a PR move by the show to look "woke". Absolutely no one in 41 seasons has ever had a problem with that phrase.

Classic and iconic phrase and totally ridiculous change.

  • Kendell Holshouser - 3 years ago

The dictionary definition of guys “1) Informal. a man or boy; fellow guys. 2) Informal. people, regardless of their sex” it’s ridiculous to change this because it’s a signature of the show and with how it’s being used it’s inclusive of all people.

  • Yuri - 3 years ago

After the fall of society hopefully us sane minded people can rise up from the ashes to build it back with truth and honor.

  • Enough Already - 3 years ago

Changing it is RIDICULOUS! Sickening. Make it STOP!

  • Jeff reynolds - 3 years ago

In this new world where everyone gets a trophy, models are no longer beautiful land sculpted bodies and every word is scrutinized, history is now racist and if one person feels left out everything must be changed and labeled. Well come on in guys is to survivor just as Jeff P is. I’m getting the feeling that a queer person or femal feels left out with the word GUYS and that’s why it’s being changed. Everyone just needs to enjoy life and stop looking for faults in this imperfect world

  • David Willborn - 3 years ago

Fucking woke shit is getting old

  • Cathy Bernard - 3 years ago

Ridiculous! Have watched the show since day one. The catch phase has been something my husband would shout out along with Jeff and everyone waited for him to say it. Enough is enough with everyone taking offense to everything little thing in this country. Very sad indeed.

  • Lee Kasian - 3 years ago

I'm a female and think it's fine to call everyone guys! It's used for everyone now. So if ONE person doesn't like it that's it? What about taking a vote.

  • Jorges - 3 years ago

One person's feelings in the toughest game on television gets to dictate the actions of 17 other people of all different creeds, orientations, nationalities and beliefs? If that's ITS biggest problem IT won't last and ITS the problem with this world.
