Should the Steelers bench QB Ben Roethlisberger?

The only real reason someone wouldn't want to see him benched at this point is because they want to see the Steelers lose. It's obvious, he's done. He's in too much pain and can barely move, he doesn't even have the look in his eye like he can win and has no idea how much he alone is the problem which is the biggest problem of all! To bench is being modest. Retirement is more realistic.

The fact that a browns fan came on here is funny. The fact they exist is funnier. Let ben play.

I'm a Browns fan and I voted yes just because I think it's funny.

Ben has no support to protect him mike Tomlin and Kevin Colbert have failed in building a solid offense . Only thing they did right is drafting a good running back. Let Ben rest and keep healthy until Tomlin and Colbert get there head out of there **** and build a solid offense. Let the other quarterbacks take the beating rest of the season. Maybe it is time to make a change with the HC and GM bring in some new people with better plans and ideas

Don't count Ben out yet! It is not his fault that his receivers aren't catching the ball! Yes, the O-line needs to tighten up! As for last week, let's not forget our defense was RIDDELED with injuries! Give them some time it's still early! Go Ben & go Steelers!!

Ben is 158-77-1 in his career with two Super Bowl wins! Keep the faith, he is proven winner!

I don't know much about coaching football if I did my son's team wouldn't be 0-3
But even I'm smart enough to know that the money should have been spent an offensive line without that it does not matter how good or bad the quarterback is you will never see their true potential with that I think it is too early to pull the plug on Ben

Football is a team sport! When all aspects of the game are "clicking" (offense & defense), then a team wins. It is not proper to blame one man, Big Ben, but to analyze your weaknesses (offensive line & backfield blocking as well as the defense. I have all the confidence in Mike Tomlin to handle these issues and I believe he is aggressively pursuing and correcting these matters.

For YEARS I've kept quiet & now this GARBAGE. The media & Couch-Potatoes saying, Bench the Best QB Pittsburgh's EVER Had ? The BLAME lies with Kevin Colbert, Mike Tomlin & to some extent The Rooney Family. Najee Harris REALLY ? When you build a House, you Build the Foundation 1st. You DON'T Start with the Roof. Now we Have 2 Problems, a RB who Can't find ANY holes & a QB who Doesn't have time to Throw. Tom Brady's 100 yrs. old, He Can't Run, His deep balls Aren't what they used to be BUT He Does have a Solid O-Line. We could have Tom Brady & Barry Sanders back there & we'ld Still Lose & The Rooney Family Rewards these Draft Gurus with contract extensions ? We NEEDED a Pouncey, Searcy, Faneca, DeCastro. Ben should've Retired when they didn't Trade For OR Draft 1stRd. Talent O-Line. SHAME On All Of You Responsible. WASTED TALENT !

If you bench Ben, which of the other two quarterbacks would you start we kind of know what Rudolph can do and that’s not much he can’t move he’s just a straight drop back quarterback and the way our office of line is right now he will get killed back there. I think our best bet would be Haskins but I’m not sure about him but at least he’s got legs that he can run out of the pocket and maybe get us a first down now and then he’s got a strong arm and he’s never really been given a chance here I don’t even know in preseason if he started with the first team but I’d like to see what the kid can do you can always go back to Ben if need be. But in all reality I don’t think Ben’s going to be healthy enough to go through 17 games he’s been beaten back there and he can’t put all the blame on the quarterback when do you offense of line can’t keep guys off of him and that is their job. But I also heard that Ben don’t have a very good relationship with the office of line and vice versa no that’s hearsay but if that’s true maybe just maybe they’re not given they’re all for this man Ben’s got an attitude he acts like he runs the Steelers and it looks like he does but it’s time for Tomlin and staff the stand up and be coaches like they’re supposed to be and I never thought I would say this but maybe it’s time for Tomlin to look for another job and I know as soon as we let him go he’ll be snatched up by somebody but look what he has done in the past not much we can’t even win the first game of the playoffs so he’s a good coach he’s not a great coach so I think if not getting rid of him it’s time to get rid of his buddies that’s on the staff and that’s everybody and it’s time to bring in some young blood to coach these young players that’s what they did in Tampa Bay they got a head coach that knew some football and then he hired all young fellas to help coach him up and look what happened there so maybe we just need a whole new team not just a Band-Aid here in there maybe we need to look elsewhere for a lot of things my opinion I know but that’s how I feel, bench Ben yes give the young man start or to see what he can do look what duck did Magic can happen again ha ha that’s all let’s go Steelers

I think Big Ben have had his great years in the past, and need to move on, to let the team find another starting QUARTERBACK, this a real steelers fan, and if Ben is black and gold, for life then HE will move out of the way. If you cannot get out of the way, then move out of the way

It's a little too early to pull the trigger on Ben. Lots of injuries so far hopefully they rebound and get hot at the end of the season. Lots of games left no need to panic until we are 100% healthy both O and D and start losing.

Ben was done when he hurt his arm back in 2019

  • Hondo - 3 years ago

It is so easy to blame Ben, however the fault lies with an ineffective o-line and poor coaching. Ben can't throw it downfield if he is running for his life. Until the o-line jells, we are in for a long painful season

Well benching Big Ben would be a very bad call. Numbers don't lie and according to the numbers Ben is better than 19 other teams QB's. Check it out yourself! Even better the everyones new fav, Beaker Mayfield. Yep that's right, look, see that, rated number 13 in yardage. I know I know You say that doesn't mean anything...DAAA-AA-DAAAAA. That is numbered for a reason. It's how your QB is rated now and looky at the all time QB list. Oh right ummm... these Qb's are rated by the yardage. I think that means something more than all yinz KNOW-IT-ALLS!!! You people STUPID!!!

If we're going to loose then loose big. Ben was a Warrior for us make him say he's had enough because if he gets roughed up like this too many more times like this the Ben era is over and you won't have to bench him. He is old and it's time for him to walk away.
