I balled through the entire episode. My heart is broken for the people of Afghanistan. I think this episode was beautifully done and I hope it helps to keep the situation in the forefront of people’s minds in the western world and abroad because it is not over for these people. It would have felt hollow if the show had ignored what was happening. I have so much respect for the writers and persons of color and veterans who work on the show and are sharing their struggles with the world. We need these kinds of voices. The messages are important and well done. My heart goes out to all Afghani people.

Thank you for addressing this issue with facts and compassion, and for focusing on the myriad aspects of this tragedy. I cried from beginning to end. It was not a comedy. It was the truth. Every cast member, but especially the two leads, deserve an award.

Watched the season premier, I can't believe how well it was written, I got goosebumps, had tears, felt the anxiety and fear of the dire straight Al’s family was going through. EXTREMELY well done and it sure shows us how we'll off the western world is. Kudos to the writers, actors and all those who involved in this episode!

I loved last season and was waiting for this new episode, especially since so much has happened. It was great.

Brilliant. It really brought out the uncertainty and scariness of the situation. Great to see a sitcom tackle such a real world situation with such sensitivity. Loved the ending - Al expresses happiness for his sister's escape but sadness for his homeland.

This episode touched me deeply. A friend of mine worked for a few years in Afghanistan. She has been very concerned about people she knew there. Some were able to escape; others were not. The show allowed us to see that perspective. Without news coverage of what is happening there now it is far too easy to turn our attention to other things. May we remember those who are suffering now.

Not a single funny moment but possible the best half hour sitcom episode ever.

Excellent but sad. There are still so many that were left behind and now are being hunted down.

This show is vapid and empty. Making millions on the blood of Afghans and US veterans. A damn shame!!

I loved the October 7th episode. It was so sad it actually made me cry. So happy to see such an important issue portrayed in your sitcom..
