I've been a faithful fan of Judge Judy for many years. But after watching quite a few episodes of the new show, I sadly have to say that I am done. No Officer Byrd alone brings the show down. The God awful theme music alone can chase people away. The useless women on the show fill draw purpose for the show, indeed the act as a snooze time, their addition is meaningless, boring and a waste. In between these snooze fests and jangling music, Judge Judy appears to just let her moods run rampant. Her judgements rarely make sense, legal or otherwise. All in all another longtime fan bids her farewll.

  • Hideous robe & music, So sad Bert is not there Worse, these shows are recycled from her old show. Have already seem shows that are repeats of stories from old show. What gives there? These are not all new cases. i.e. the case of the 14k gold watch a buyer/seller from Ebay are litigating about.

I think you can be nasty just so long before it gets OLD....She treats people like their dirt under her shoe and she is above everyone - just look what she did to her bailiff .... And the fact that she has her granddaughter sitting on her lap so she can learn all of Judy's tricks is really ugly - Judy has enough money she should quietly fade into the woodwork.

I've watched several of her new shows and will probably discontinue it. That music they play before, during and after the show is really irritating. The format with her granddaughter is boring, and Burt should be included. The three new additions are a waste of time and money. Can the music and bring Burt back.

I am a huge Judge Judy fan, but her new show really stinks. I'll start with that annoying theme music. That could drive one to turn the channel without thinking twice. Whoever wrote that crap hopefully did it for free, and that was cheap!!! The segments at the end with her granddaughter are a complete waste of time. Nothing of any importance is discussed. If she's going to use her granddaughter, I would suggest someone fix her hair and makeup. Her eyes are so poorly made up that they look haunting like a horror movie! The absence of Burt is really noticeable for sure. It also seems that too much time is filled with needless hatter with Judge Judy focusing on a bunch of nothing as though she's attempting to fill time instead of having more litigants. HOWEVER, ABOVE ALL, THEY NEED TO GET RID OF THAT NAUSEATING THEME MUSIC THAT GOES ON AND ON WITH THE SAME OLD LIMITED NOTES!!!!

Additional comment “ ditch the robe its not a good color for you , your black lace is your signature color”

Boring not the same & take away granddaughters input . Bring back to more like original. I will stop watching new show & record old reruns on fox

There are too many litigants that looked liked they were just pulled off the street!

Additionally, what's up with females with eyelashes that look like they belong on mannequins? Tone it down ladies! Have some class and have makeup professionally done.

There should be a dress code for the litigants.

Unlike so many commentators, I like the changes in Judy Justice. I have been a dedicated fan of Judge Judy for countless years. In Judy Justice, I like her slight mellowing (as I perceive it) and her slowing down a little to give the cases extra examination.
I do miss Officer Byrd though, like so many others. Was disappointed when I found out he would not be back. I don't know the back story, so will let that go for now.
I also like the brief discussion of Judy with her granddaughter at the end of each episode. Sort of nice to hear some of the thinking involved in her comments and decisions in the court setting.

No Byrd. . . No Judge Judy for me. I guess that took are of that!

I am a fan of Judy,s integrity and fairness. Been watching for years. The new format without the announcers recaps between segments...the increased be laboring of questioning the litigants was surprising as Judy normally has laser beam focus....the pace drags with the addition of after case discussions.....a few adjustments ... Judy actually should watch herself old style and new style format....she'll see ! She's smart and I hope will make the necessary changes to keep all us fans watching! Unfortunately, for this season we are deeply disappointed after watching several shows and have taken this program off our viewing schedule.

I WILL never watch her again after what she did to Byrd. What a backstabbing B.

Like she doesn’t have the money. Very loyal, oh, like her husband.

What a creep of a human being.

Shameful how she treated Byrd. He added style and character to an otherwise curmudgeon, unprofessional, egotistical, and self-grandiose bitter old woman, who is way past her prime. Her clown show is worn out. Wussup with the granddaughter, who is unqualified and inexperienced, sitting up there on the throne, looking down in judgment at litigants? So disrespectful and demeaning. And having a court reporter in this clown show, looks so stupid and a waste of the women’s time. I’ve never seen court reporters sitting up high with a judge. They’re usually at floor level off to the side and in real courts, one barely sees their fingers typing away. BTW, I suppose Judy needed Byrd’s salary to pay for those two mannequins. Get rid of those two women, bring back Byrd, and hire new executive producers.

I will watch to see if I like it. Do not like the way she did Byrd. She acted if they were family friends. Can't be further from the truth.

She doesn’t even look like a real judge. Terrible looking pink robe, plastic looking set, added people (relative) and different security guard, phony name of show Judge Judy Justice Don’t think I’ll be watching this new judge Judy show as it looks to phony and Hollywood. Nothing like a real court room.

I'm sick of programs involving their families. First Dr. Phil becomes an infomercial for his wife's products, then The Peoples Court decides to bring her husband in the chambers to "talk", now Judge Judy involves her granddaughter in discussions and opinions no one wants to hear. They had good things going, until they tried to make their families relevant to viewers. Doesn't work.

Byrd gone then so am I, I will check back now and again to see if that changes. Shame on you Judy

I love the OriginalJudge Judy show
I just watched the new one tonight andIt's too slow to get through each case
she doesn't yell and she's not as rude as she use to be Which I actually like because it was funny.
Doesn't seem like there's enough audience members and The movie Set just Too perfect
don't like her hair in a ponytail it makes her look old trying to look young with a ponytail and her other hairdo was much better. I do like the new purple robe that is pretty. The law Clerk and the court stenographer don't need themThey just look ridiculous sitting there

  • Celi - 3 years ago

Don’t like the granddaughter sitting there, to give an un educated comment about the cases.

Byrd was loyal judy was not what a shame

  • Fred - 3 years ago

I have watched 3 episodes. Seemed to run a little slower than Judge Judy. Maybe some things will settle down and adjustments will be made.

Where in the world does she find these people who think so little of themselves they would have their dirty linen aired so publicly and be chastised by such an arrogant old lady? Oh, well, when you have the kind of money she has, guess you can do whatever you want. I watched the episodes released so far on line but won't bother to go back.

  • Debra - 3 years ago

No Byrd? Not watching. She did him wrong.

  • Joyce M Trent - 3 years ago

I don't think it was right the way she did Byrd ...someone she's been working with for over 25 years. She assumed he didn't want go but she didn't asked. Yes she lost me as a viewer.

  • Susan M Good - 3 years ago

it's no where as good as the regular Judge Judy ! She hardly yells and not as funny. It's like a dragged out court drama. I've watched the Judge Judy show from the beginning. Will not be watching the new show !!! Stinks in my opinion !
