Krystal's win is reminiscent of Violet Chachki and Aquaria's wins. They are more of 'look' Queens and 'fashion' and all 3 were young at the time of winning. Of coarse Krystal is younger than Violet and Aquaria at the time of winning so this means Krystal still has time to really grow into her career.
From a TV perspective I can see why Krystal won. Its ultimately . But as a viewer you do feel a sense that 'Ella was robbed'. But in many ways Ella's career may benefit from not winning as becoming an international fan favorite is practically winning. I get the sense that Ella will also be business savvy and really be able to go in the path that she wants to successfully. Kitty also gained a lot of fandom from across the globe.
Overall this is still a TV show first. I believe since Season 2 was so organically great that this season does kind of feel like a let-down and perhaps now you see how production pulls the strings and pushes the buttons of not only the queens, but the viewers! That is their ultimate goal: to make you feel a kind of way based on the content that they get from filming. To be honest that double elimination is still one of the most confusing things to happen in any Drag Race franchise and does feel like a production call that just leaves everyone a bit sour about it.

I was totally shocked with Ru's decision to crown Krystal as thus seasons queen winner of RPDR-UK but I've delayed adding comments until now to digest the show.
I know that both Ella and Kitta brought the house down with yhier performance, wardrobe and commitment to the show but after giving it some fair consideration, they are both well established, well sasknsed and deeply talented queens who undoubtedly deserved to be in the top 3 but given the raw unfettered talent that Krystal displayed at such a young age and the fact that she, at 19 years of age, does embody the next generation of Drag, I believe that with the crown under her belt, her confidence will explode and she will serve as an embodiment of self confidence, self belief and an icon for younger people who need someone that they can relate to and aspire to become.
I would have loved to have seen Ella or kitty win but I respect Ru's judgement and can't wait to see amazing things from Krystal.

Totally wrong decision Ella and kitty have so much talent.why would you choose someone just because they look good. But I guess that’s what Ru’s looking for now so why bother watching anymore, very disappointing

I started watching the finale in full support of Ella. She's the total package...sings, dances, acts and has had some great looks. However, while her lyrics and voice was good she seemed a little lackluster in parts of the performance. Her final runways was terrible....the makeup, hair and dress were unforgivably bad. I was so sad. The final lipsync they were all less than great but what a dumb song choice. At the end of it, I shifted support to Kitty but wasn't overly disappointed Krystal won. Looking back she definitely proved herself as more than just a look queen and never gave up on things she wasn't great at and pulled most of it off. Impressive.

I would have been happy regardless who won. This was the right Top 3 and I loved. I really thought it was between Ella and Krystal honestly. But Ella's final look was really jarring and I knew she had lost it then. Kitty looked spectacular and I hope to become her new best friend. But i think Krystal ended up being the right queen at the right time.
Kitty would of been so similar to Lawrence to me. So after all that I amvery happy for Krystal!!!!

I think the right person won. Her spirit of giving it a go even when she has not had the training in theatre and performance that the other two have had is amazing. If Ella or Kitty had won it would mean that the competition should be limited to stage school contestants. Based solely on the final Crystal killed it with her lipsynch, her dress and her singing. Kitty is a Bag of Chips lite. And Ella.. That hair..

Plain wrong, wrong, wrong.Why do all these challenges (which Krystal bombed at anyway), if it is only looks that count,? Krystal will be a great queen in the future,no doubt,but she is not at the level of Ella and Kitty yet, by a long way.Thouroughly disappointed in Ru's judgement - like last year imo, when Bimini was the absolute clear winner.

I too thought Ella would win as overall She was the best but I thought Kitty might have edged it in the Lipsync. I was surprised Krystal won, I guess she is young and a contrast to other winners and I wish her luck im sure she will develop but in the end I can’t agree with a winner who has had cosmetic surgery that can’t be good role model material for people who struggle with self image can it?

Congratulations to Krystal, first off. I think she will make an excellent role model. However...drag race is a competition for the best queen, not the best role model. That's NOT Krystal. My favorite was Kitty Scott-Claus, however I would have been happy had Ella won, too. But Krystal?! No.

He is a triple threat talent, can act sing dance. Gorgeous in and out of drag. Do not understand why Krystal won, seems to be lacking in talent, absolutely one dimensional. I can only think it Ru's personal choice, totally at odds with public opinion.

I totally agree with the comments made. I’ve loved watching all the drag races but after googling who won i won’t even bother to stream it now! Krystal was useless and should have left a while back but for some strange reason Ru kept her in, and now the winner? Are you kidding me? The other two were multi-talented but krystal was definitely not, although she looked great in her outfits her make up was ugly and she didn’t have anything to add with regards to talent! I would love to hear from Ru why he chose her above the other two very talented girls! I wont be watching any more seasons now, totally disappointed and thinks it’s probably rigged!

Why oh why? What a ridiculous result! As others have said, Ella and Kitty were far superior to Krystal in all talents/performances. Krystal has money behind her so she can afford all those gorgeous costumes. It costs these queens a fortune to participate in Drag Race and some have more than others, and it shows on the runway. Where would Krystal be without the fabulous wardrobe? That was ALL she had going for her. Kitty and Ella, on the other hand, showed impressive talents in singing, dancing, acting, scripting -- Ella tore the house down in the roast, and Krystal embarrassed herself by insulting everyone older than she was, which means EVERYONE! It was a one-note performance and she knew it.
I KNEW it would be between Ella and Kitty, and thought Ella would win, and should have won. I think she really let herself down in the lipsync, though, it was a lacklustre performance, while Kitty and Krystal really put their hearts into it. I kept wondering when Ella was going to get with it, but she never did. That may have influenced Ru. Also, Ella's wig just did not suit her at all, and her dress was pretty but nothing special. And the shoes. Well, I'm not that picky. I don't care if she wears silver shoes. Again, it might simply have come down to budget. Krystal seemed to have an endless budget for outfits, wigs, jewels, etc., and perhaps Ella just doesn't have that to the same level. Ella is a gorgeous-looking human being, but she is (in my opinion) better looking as "herself" than she is in drag. I can't say that about many of the queens. Ella's appearance lacks at various times, either wrong outfit, wrong wig, or poor makeup. With a face like that she could be a breathtaking woman, but I don't think she ever lived up to that possibility.
So it seems that how you look is all that counts, no matter how talented you are, which is a sorry thing to realize. Never mind all that singing/dancing/acting/scripting/ad lib/impersonation, years of theatre school -- just look better than the rest and you're the winner, baby! Very sad. I think this is the last Drag Race I will watch if this is how things are.

Wow. Favoritism at its finest. Krystal didn’t do much but bomb or make excuses and the judges coddled her all the way through. And people were doing things for her pretty much the whole time! Kitty and Ella worked their butts off and for either one of them not to win….yeah, not too happy about it.

Absolute joke. But then so much of this season has been quite laughable, from the double sashay away decision, to the 'we're keeping everyone in' week when, for me, Krystal Versace was actually the worst and should've been sent home before the final.
