Horrible production! Overacted and corny! None of the characters were believable. A BIG DISAPPOINTMENT!!

I am a big fan of the movie, Annie. Therefore, I was disappointed in the music. They left out Dumb Dog and Let's Go to the movies. Plus, I found Harry Connick Junior's acting was flat- No emotion. Overall, I did enjoy the new Annie.

What's next? The Xi-Xi version? This woke entertainment angle is ridiculous. WHY is every Movie role, Musical role and TV Series being remade with African-Americans, when they make-up 12% of our Society? Just write New Shows and Musicals and let them stand on their own. STOP destroying beloved, historical storylines!

I watched the production on Thursday night (recorded it) and watched it again Friday. Great performances by the cast. I have always loved musicals and ANNIE LIVE was great!! A must see production.

That Was By Far the BEST Program This Year ! Goes To Show That If Networks Wanted To Show QUALITY and Live Broadcasts They CERTAINLY Could
Begs the Question: How Many YEARS Will It Take Before Another Live Broadway Show Gets It's Due On TV ?

This was one excellent live performance of Annie. I truly enjoyed the entire production from start to finish. It was a fine group of exceptional performers. The singing and dancing kept me riveted to my TV screen. Can't wait for NBC's next live musical or drama.

I enjoyed every minute of this musical. The singing was excellent as well as the choreography. Annie played by Celine Smith was delightful. All the children did an amazing job. Loved Daddy Warbucks played by Harry Connick Jr. I must admit i cried during one of the scenes. I watched in awe. Such a treat and a wonderful live performance by all.

I thought the whole cast was amazing! Have to admit my favorite was Taraji Henson. She was hilarious as Miss Hannigan!

How about kudos to the kids in the cast!! Fabulously talented group. The choreography was outstanding with a little hiphop, tutting, stomping & straight up sold jazz pieces. Bravo to that portion of the cast who are sometimes overlooked. Star in the making with CelinaSmith. Really enjoyed this production

I truly believe even Ebinezer Scrooge would not have one negative word to say about this terrific production. I have to smile, how many people stayed up way past their bed time. I join that group. It was truly worth missing some "shut eye". I especially want to acknowledge - Celine, who played "Annie"-and all of the youngsters who portrayed "orphans," May God richly bless - one and all. Last but not least, all of the cast: Harry, Nicole, Tiraje - everyone in the cast! Well done! Jo Anne Linder - Laguna Woods, Ca

Loved it!! The dancing was great, so fun to watch. The cast was superb!! Usually in bed by nine, before I knew it it was ten o’clock! Even the commercials were geared towards the show. Usually mute them but not last night.

Absolutely fabulous. Both my husband and I are music lovers and the singing was superb. All the choreography was so well done by the children and adults. Loved it!! A+

Througly enjoyed. Could match any Broadway production I was as glad to see Harry at his piano. The singing and dancing were wonderful. A great cast

Production notes: Excellent job by the camera crew, able to capture each of the orphans as they had a vocal or dance move solo. The orchestra was top notch and the sound engineering was very good.

Really enjoyed this production. Thank you NBC for bringing it to the air. The children were incredible and especially Annie.

I really enjoyed this play. Annie has a wonderful voice, and Taraji really showed she can sing. I give this play an A plus and thank NBC for bringing this play with so much action to we, the viewers. I thought "Annie" at 11 years old remembered the songs and did not falter at all with this three hour extravaganza. All the children were wonderful. Daddy Warbucks...excellent. I taped it so I could watch it over again. Bravo Taraji andCeline Smith.

I turned it on just to see what they were doing with it this time around and watched every minute! I thought it was fresh with amazing song and dance numbers. I honestly didn't notice (and wouldn't have cared anyway) the camera issues. Celina Smith was so good!! Anyway, loved it.

I was forced to watch it by my wife, pretty much. We watched with our nine year old grandson whom really didn't want to. By ten minutes in he was entertained and by thirty minutes in he was in awe and we let him stay up to the finale. He was really into it, thought all the people amazing talents and even asked about the time and orphans. He went to bed happy and we included orphans in our prayers. I'm a sap so I had a couple of teary moments myself. Fantastic show and well done, bravo! Yes maybe it tried a little hard, the camera didn't get out of the way several times, mic drop and well you can pick apart anything; this performance doesn't deserve all that negativity. From a non musical lover to the all of you I watched, enjoyed and recommend!

As always I have been amazed at the actress playing. ANNIE. The 12 year old Celine Smith gave tour de force act one opening singing for close to thirty minutes. Harry Connick, Jr. Was great as Daddy Warbucks. Taraj P.
Henson was superb as Ms. Hannigan. I could go on. Rooster and Hotel floozy and Warbucks secretary were excellent. The children and supporting cast rounded out an enjoyable evening. Minimalist sets were just the ticket. Speaking of which, I would have paid a pretty buck to see this production. Brava!

The dancing was memorable and lightened everything! The cast seemed up to the challenge, and even though we’ve all seen it before, it seemed freshened and relevant. Perfect holiday fare.

  • Joann Hill - 3 years ago
