I was a huge fan of the series and I enjoyed the movies as well (the second one was just okay). I went into watching And Just Like That with low expeditions. Wow for me it really tanked. The way they talked about Samantha in the beginning was awkward. Miranda being that cringey with the professor was awkward. The Chucky character in the subway station, weird. The Peloton bike being used that way—odd. Carrie didn’t perform CPR or call 911 the way anyone would. What’s up with Miranda’s drinking? Showing minors having sex, is that legal? Odd. Charlotte not letting Rose wear her own choice of clothes, did not seem likely. Miranda’s speech at the funeral, awkward. The whole thing was just awkward and odd and tone deaf. I like Che Diaz. Her character seems solid. I will watch the rest but the cringe alert is on high. If Carrie goes on dating apps it’s going to be terrible. I just hope there’s a light at the end of the tunnel because so far the characters have gotten worse instead of demonstrating what Carrie said at the end of Season 6—the most important relationship is the one you have with yourself. Cue inspiring music, « sometimes I feel like throwing my hands up in the air… you got the love, you got the love… »
