This is how I know I'm old - I don't use it regularly, but still know how. My niece didn't know what it was.
The upper-case 'Q' has always been an issue - the version I learned looked like a fancy '2', so I always just used the regular print version.
Cursive is one of those "nice-to-know, but who needs it really" things. Store that in a drawer someplace with roman numerals and the Dewey Decimal System. And Black History Month - none of that CRT business, making the 'chir-un' all sad, right? Right?
I used to LOVE writing in cursive but now it’s some fucked up hybrid of print-cursive fusion.
They literally stopped teaching it the year before I got to first grade. I was high key disappointed. But I don’t think it made any difference in my life, my full name is so long that on official documents after I print my name I just do a vague scribble for my signature.
I remember we learnt cursive in grade 1 of elementary school. It feels like a fever dream now lol.
