Has everyone forgot that we do have Mike Boone? The guy averaged close to 5yds per carry, plus we have 11 draft picks. Running backs are easy to come by which is why teams don't usually pay a lot for them. I do agree that we need someone to take the load off of Williams but he shouldn't be the one to cost us games either.

I can’t believe this is a question… Of course you keep Gordon. He is a tough runner similar to Williams. He and Williams are a perfect duo that, in the right system, can absolutely wear defenses down. You can also keep them both healthy with 17- 18 touches a piece, per game. If you just keep Williams with 30 touches he’ll be done in 3 years. Gordon had about 1000 yards from scrimmage part time last season. Broncos fans have gotta be a little more grateful for the pieces we do have.

We can't afford Gordon if we go after rodgers. Use him as trade bait for Rodgers or another veteran.

  • Rick Smith - 2 years ago

He cost us games we needed to win. He is a fumbler...straight out!

  • Troy Wuehler - 2 years ago

I feel he cost us 2 games this year with his 2nd half fumbles. The Eagles and the Chiefs game. Let him go, maybe we can reap the reward of playing against him and him costing his new team the win.

Keep him for $3.5M/yr and never give him the ball at the goal line.

We need to keep him he is a fast runner and he is bad ass..Denver well be messing up if we don't keep him that well hurt us bad we already got rid of von Miller that was a very bad choice

Seriously, sign the man. He plays with heart, has talent, and will keep Denver's running game viable with fresh legs. Maybe a new OC or head Coach will use our running game a little more often. Don't like the fumbles, but he brings serious production to our team. And over 20 TD's in 2 years isn't a fluke.

heckkkkkk noooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! all he does is cost us games by fumbling and i want Javonte getting 100000000 carries

  • Daniel - 2 years ago

Given the production yes resign him but at the fumble discount. The guy cost the broncos at least 2 games this year. His ball security is about as tight as a pair of silk boxer shorts.

  • Jeffery Rucker - 2 years ago

Sign him, McCafrrey ALWAYS Injury prone, Williams and Gordon are a 1-2 punch! Both had DAMN near 1000 yards, DON'T think about the fumbles, they all fumble at time, yeah he fumbled but EVERY ONE WAS JUMPING UP AND DOWN ON BIGG PLAYS HE MADE! KEEP HIM! SOGN HIM!????????

Of course you keep Melvin! He will sign at a lower pay, because, as stated, at 29 he’s not gonna get a ton of high paying offers. He is a grinder Back, like Williams. Having the two of them softens the defense as the game progresses and 15 to 20 touches a piece, per game, keeps both of them fresh and extends how long they can play. Williams is awesome, but if he is the single featured back he will be used and abused by 26. Especially with the way he and Gordon both play. Keeping Melvin Gordon is a no brainer.

Never should have been signed in the first place. Vastly overpaid and cannot hold on to the football.

  • Bruce Morales - 2 years ago

Yes they should with a pay cut my opinion is that we are already a young team and with Melvin a veteran he can be a big help out with our future young running back Jevonte he reminds me of Terrell Davis that can be the one with a QUARTER BACK take us back to the SUPER BOWL. Melvin needs to work on his fumbling the ball.

Gordon deserves to resign, he performed well. I understand we have one of the best up and coming RB in Williams but I want to keep him healthy for a long time and that takes a committee. Having fresh legs every week in an ever expanding NFL season is critical to success. Christian McCaffrey needs a committee, you won't stay healthy if you play every down. Depth depth depth people, overlook his lone fumble.

  • Heath Johnson - 2 years ago

No way. Cut ties with him immediately. Too many fumbles at crucial times and bad decisions on and off the field. Oh yeah, and there’s a DUI he probably should have been charged with and been suspended by the NFL. He received to take the breathalyzer and that worked in his favor. No thanks, get this clown outta here!

  • John Rawson - 2 years ago

Time for the Javonte Williams show. Draft a back up RB and let Williams run wild.

  • Steven Graham - 2 years ago

Melvin he good. But he too olt now aaint nobody wanna steal he cardboard cutouts from the grocery store no mo. Feel me?

  • Peter Beckley - 2 years ago

Not only did he lose the fumbles at inconvient times; he dropped too many passes. We'd do better to sign Christian McCaffrey.

  • Anthony Bell - 2 years ago

He puts the ball on the ground at critical times , he was suppose to clean that up in the off season last year , and he has gotten worst.
