Sorry, but this season was HORRIBLE!! The writing was horrendous with so many cringe worthy moments. I didn’t even recognize the character of Miranda. Sure, people can change and evolve, but In this case, she appears to have had a lobotomy. She went from a self assured, cynical, but lovable, strong woman to this bumbling, whiny, unsure, apologizing, shrinking violet, who apparently was born yesterday with no knowledge of how to act around black people or in a diverse setting. The writers point out that in Miranda’s own words in the season finale, that people can change, and change back if they want to, etc. But once again, we’re supposed to believe that Miranda, who gave up partnership in her firm to follow her dream in humanitarian law, and who then gets a competitive and highly sought after internship, just abandons everything to follow someone to LA for A FEW MONTHS...someone who has not promised Miranda anything, and has taken every opportunity to remind her of that?? Miranda can’t even drop by unannounced, or call herself their girlfriend, but we’re supposed to applaud her decision to choose LOVE over career? Let Miranda take a week off to go their taping, and then visit on long weekends, while “getting to know each other”. There are so many other options.
And don’t get me started on Che. They are a no nonsense individual who knows who they are, but then professes their love to Miranda, only to turn around and say they are not dating, but “getting to know each other”? That rings so hollow. They light up a joint anywhere, anytime, not caring what others think, being this free and open person...but then gets hopping mad that Miranda didn’t say she WASN’T in an open marriage?? Let’s see, what’s more common, open marriages or cheating spouses? Che just ‘assumed’ the former, and then all of a sudden becomes all sanctimonious about it? They’re “a lot of things, but not a home wrecker “?? This does not ring true at all. An overall unlikeable character. And that’s too bad, because the writers could have done so much more with them.

Storylines were mentioned, but then not followed through at all...Ie/Miranda taking off to surprise Che in Cleveland, only to never be mentioned again. From lazy writing to the unbelievable...Carrie watching Big gasp for breath and die in her arms, without even thinking to dial 911. I read the writers point of view, that they wanted it to only be about them. They could have still easily accomplished that after Carrie called 911, without people screaming into the tv for Carrie to stop being a complete moron.
So many things wrong with this season, and I haven’t even touched the surface. So many inconsistencies. Trying too hard to be woke, and right every wrong...that we lost our main characters, and that easy banter that we knew and loved, became forced and non-believable.

HUGE FAIL from a die hard SATC fan who wanted so badly to love it and who was expecting so much more. Sigh...

I am a SATC fan. I did love the story with mr big. I hate that any scenes were cut out due to accusations that have no proof. We live in an unfair society now where men are guilty no matter what if a woman is accusing him of something. Before you judge what I say, how would you feel if you lost your career over an accusation and you were innocent? I agree with many others that the wokeness was too much. Trying to add ethnic characters to make it more diverse. Do ethnic shows feel the need to add white people or different ethnicities to make it more diverse? No. This story is about these 4 women and for reason 2 to be successful they need to go back to those roots and just be mindful of the changes in our world. Hoping Che doesn’t come back and Miranda goes running back to her family with her tail between her legs. Did we forget in season 1 when she states she is definitely not into women. Or her reaction when Steve cheated on her? I’m not saying not to have diverse actors in the show but the show still needs to be about these 4 women. I don’t need to see sec scenes with completely new couples that have nothing to do with these 4 women abs their relationships. We watch this show bc we care about them and that is why we are fans. Don’t take screen time away from them and season 2 will be better. Carrie can’t also be already over BIG. He was too big in her life. I can’t imagine dating someone that quick over losing my husband.

Loved it. Did I cringe at times? Yes. I think that is the point. Based on reactions of people I know in real life, I am guessing a lot of the fans or new viewers who did not like it were on the Conservative side of the political spectrum and --- all of the complaints about the series being "too woke" was a huge clue. And I am NOT saying that is a bad thing. Just speculating. I hope we get a season 2. Seema was a seamless fit into the show. Loved her that character.

I rolled my eyes during every episode of AJLT more than at anything else ever! I get that SATC was criticized for being homogenous, but why did ever scene of AJLT feel like it was trying too hard to right that wrong. I thought the finale was so bad, I watched a random episode of SATC just to remind myself why I put myself through the torture of AJLT. SATC was so witty, lighthearted and fun, AJLT feels forced, sad and old. Either hire new writers and take it easy on the social agenda, or don’t bring it back. You’re ruining SATC’s legacy!

This season ruined SATC for me. The writing was terrible. It brought in too many ...rotten.. characters. Took 'our' girls into horrible situations, completely fracturing their friendship. This was just a terrible, terrible series. (And take THAT as some terrible writing.) This was a vanity project for SJP.
    NO SEASON TWO!

Loved the entire season. Felt very natural being with girls.
Of course there are things I would have preferred being written differently. It’s just life and our friends. We don’t always agree.
However would I like there to be many more seasons?
    Absolutely!
