Plus nobody wanted him anyways because he sucks. They need to go for Pitts QB, than use the rest of the draft to get Oline. They have a lot of cap space where they can feel in holes through free agency on defense. We need non selfish people on our team who are willing to take less money to get better players and win. Although Tomlin will find a way to underachieve like always.

The Steelers are seriously hamstrung by GM Colbert's Old School "We Build By The Draft" Outdated Philosophy. Every single season the team loses their talent to Free Agency. Colbert has NO IDEA how to trade for Draft Picks BEFORE LOSING STARS TO FREE AGENCY as well. This Spring we will lose the Core of our team once again to... Free Agency. No Draft Picks... NOTHING IN RETURN.
The Steelers haven't won a Super Bowl in DECADES. 2 DECADES 2008. The Steelers are the ONLY TEAM that doesn't use Free Agency as a component of their team building! Trading Up to get a QB is a Pittsburgh Pipe Dream. Look at the 1st Round. The Eagles have 3 First Round Picks. 3 First Rounders AGAIN. The Eagles WON a Super Bowl recently due to building by Free Agency as did the Chiefs, Buccaneers, Patriots and SOON TO BE SUPER BOWL CHAMP LA Rams.
Every single Draft those teams have SEVERAL LOW 1st Round Picks AND HAVE PLAYOFF SEASONS because their GM's know what they're doing in the 2020 Free Agency Decade.
The Steelers must change their Philosophy or they won't see another Super Bowl for 50 years.
The fact the Steelers allowed an old retiring, out of touch, to Draft a Franchise QB with only ONE...AS USUAL...High 1st Round Pick shows the World how far the Steelers have declined under Colbert.

Let's fix this O line first and then the D line. If Harris can run for over 1200 yards with a poor line, imagine what he could've done with a good line. The D line needs help next. We gave up almost 6 yards a carry to opposing offenses. Mason and Haskins cant be counted on 2 win games but they have to keep other teams on notice with good throws. Get a vet QB to help us to keep winning and draft a QB next year if the top 2 doesnt fall into our lap without trading up.

Colin Kaepernick still has a lot to offer and signing him to a one year deal with Pickett to back him up would be a great move…
We can’t afford another Dan Marino from our backyard to be missed…
1. Why draft a 500% QB this year when there are four franchise QBs in 2023?
2. Who is going to protect this ROOKIE?
3. When a team (Steelers), gives up 40+ points in three straight playoff games the Defense still needs help; NT, LB and CB.
4. There are 6 very good free agent Centers, get one!

I don't think we should trade up. I think we could get Zappe, or Corral. I think it would cost too much to try and trade up for Pickett or Willis.

First of all, the Steelers have to hire a head coach who knows how to do the job and has a real desire to win a super bowl. Mike Tomlin is a "charlatain". He might have fooled the Rodney's , .but he has not fooled the people of Pittsburgh. Kenny Pickett is the obvious choice for QB of the Steelers... are the Steelers going to make the same mistake as they did with another great Pitt QB named Dan Marino? Really? Come on Art, get some between your legs, override Tomlin and give Kenny Pickett a chance... or do the Rodney's really not care about winning a super bowl and just care about giving Mike Tomlin a Job? There, I said what everyone in Pittsburgh is thinking...

A lower level trade for Mike White of the Jets would work. White looked good this year in spot starts and could be had cheaply for Pittsburgh.

They need to draft the best available player at their pick either an offensive lineman or if one of those two quarterbacks fall into their lap. I personally believe those quarterbacks are going to be gone by the time we pick. I believe we will draft an offensive tackle or guard with that first pick. I believe we will take a quarterback in round 2 or 3. We really need to address the offensive line at the beginning of the draft.
