I'd have picked "reps" but "friendly and alert" is insufficient. If the reps are not knowledgeable, they are a waste of time. I'd rather pick up a handout to remind me to research the company later.
Also - an observation: in a world of VERY large vendors, the traditional booth is a waste. You already know EPIC and Microsoft and, if you are at a system of any size, they already know you. It's highly unlikely you'll stumble onto one of them at a trade show. Rather, the biggest draw to the booth is the opportunity to meet (in-booth or off-floor).
