Great show but so much sorrow - I would have preferred more of a balance with positive. I don’t think it was necessary for Elsa to die to make the show a hit - and after all they went through it would have been better if Brennan’s experiences had led him to appreciate the gift of life vs suicide at the end - he was too smart and too enlightened and too decent and loving of a man for that

Seen enough suffering. In this world it was so good but no happy endings who wants to be left feeling that way after spending all that time watching the story wtf is wrong with people you always set the frequency with positive thoughts or didn't you know that the force of gravity on all objects causes all shapes to admit one even the shape of the human brain why when you find someone on your frequency you hit it off it's rare

Loved this movie .Not a Yellowstone fan. Guessing at the end of 1883, Elsa dies and apparently San also. Thst made me sad and fissapointed. Wished 1883 had more seasons.

They could make a second season, but I think best not because I will remember the ending of the first longer than another season, I am sure.

I have so enjoyed 1883-sorry that -Taylor doesn't want any more series of it.-there is still time to tell what happens with Elsa & SAM-& connect with Yellowstone- We don't need Shea his story has been told- We don't need-jimmy-it is so boring with him-1883 was a good series that women & men could enjoy- Not stories of prison-Hope we can see more of Martin Sensmeier-great actor-maybe he can go to Yellowstone-will give up-Beth- to have a good series-It was good to see the trials of going across Country in those days-Terrible what we have done to the Indian Tribes-some are still in need - Thank you Taylor--so sad there is not a #10---

This is a brilliant show and so captivating. We couldn’t wait to watch it each week. Tim and Faith were outstanding and Isabel May was exceptional and the star of the show. I was so sad that she died in the end, shocked and disappointed. But to find out that the story and these characters were not continuing? I thought there was a second season coming. This will be so hard to beat. Loved it but wishing it wasn’t over.

Loved the show until they killed Elsa ????. That and there really wasn’t a true ending . I also heard they aren’t doing a second season ????????.
Taylor Sheridan is one of the greatest writers I have ever had the pleasure to see on the screen ! Keep it up and thank you ❤️

Excellent, Script should be changed so that Elsa was dreaming about heaven but doesn’t die. Her fever breaks, etc. it would help me tremendously if the show was closed caption. When does season 2 start?

  • Sherry SHAMEL - 2 years ago

It left me questioning. Was Sam in Heaven, and was her first husband not in Heaven? I kept hoping that Sam would show up to save her. I didn't want her to die.

Elsa SHOULDN'T HAVE DIED PERIOD UP UNTIL THAT POINT THE SHOW WAS AMAZING BUT THEN Y'ALL FAILED KILLING ELSA OFF

  • Kate - 2 years ago

I was disappointed that Elsa would leave Sam the love of her life just to trek on with her parents....Sam made her his wife....she should have grown up enough to stay with her husband. Then dying and rambling on and on about birds, etc and never mentioning the man she loved, her husband. That diminished the whole story line Sam and Elsa gave us.

Truly loved this seasons, perfectly done. As a lover of westerns, this is the only one I rate above John Waynes', The Cowboys. My only wish is the ending is a teaser, and Isabel survived and spending her life with the man who loves her, Sam. But that's just me, even though the sad ending was done in a beautiful way. Keep it up Mr Sheridan, your storytelling and putting it on screen is magnificent. Love Yellowstone, 1883 and looking forward to 1932.

I loved the series…the storyline and the acting was 1st class. And it grabbed my attention from the first minute. Had I known it was a one season story, I would never have watched it.The story was so good that it pulled you in and you were engrossed in what was going to happen. The error made was that it was done in one season and it was hurried at the end. Up until the very end we were teased about another season possibly being planned. I feel liked we were tricked. That’s a shame. Acting, writing and production would all be up for awards. 1883 as compared to Yellowstone was a much better show and story in my opinion. So I’m left longing for more…..

I loved 1883. It had its problems, but it was a good story. Honestly, I'm glad it's over. It was very dark and I was an emotional wreck at the end of many episodes. I can't take another depressing season.

Great acting and really nice 'guest stars' throughout the show. I enjoyed seeing who would appear in each episode.

I sat in my recliner across from my wife in her loveseat. I was careful not to let her see me tear up which is stupid. The ending was gut wrenching to watch but that was probably by design. We have a little better understanding on just what these true pioneers had to deal with. But still it was like having a tooth pulled with no novacain to watch. ...Sigh... Farewell "1883" Welcome"1932".

Wow! I am still wiping the tears from my eyes! The characters, the stories, the beautiful scenery - a wonder season. Gone too fast!

I am super sad to know this is a one and done season.

Oh also i forgot about Brennon, i always liked him in everything he has done, also wish he would have lived..
Keep up the good work Taylor, very good writing. Hope you can see doing another season and including Elsa and Brennon?

Liked the show VERY much BUT hated the ending. Elsa was an exceptional character in the show, was hoping she would have beat the infection with the indian treatment.
    Hoping for a season 2...

People keep saying that Elsa and Brennan should have lived to be around in the story. People, 1883 has ended..No 2nd season. However, the next season to come will be called 1932 and will tell stories of the Dutton Ranch during the Depression. 1883 ended perfectly.

I loved this it was beautiful I hope there are more seasons to watch!

This was an excellent series until the final episode. Why did Elsa have to die? There were so many other options. There is too much sadness in the world already. I’m done with this. Just too much for me to take.

This is a great story about trust and love and overall commitment to family.
In happy and sad times this story delivers as does every person in this cast and staff of 1883 and all the Yellowstone stories.
It is something needed in these times, it shows even when things are bad that there is hope, as I hope this series goes on.

Elsa should not have died. This was too soon for her demise. And the show needs Sam Elliott to continue on. So disappointed.

  • Beverly gentz - 2 years ago

Elsa should have not died they should have brought sam back and let him take her to the Indian dr and been able to save her

  • Dean Jaynes - 2 years ago

Thank you Taylor Sheridan for an awesome and very emotional story about the trials and tribulations that the pioneers encountered. We needed a story line like this to remind us where we all came from. Looking forward to your upcoming episodes of 1883 and then 1923..
I really enjoy "Yellowstone" and the also look forward to the future twists and turns.. Keep up the good work.

This series is a beautiful story about love, commitment and resilience. Even with the very sad ending. It still delivered a message of hope!
