Chickadee birds are so resilient. They are able to survive our winters. They have a distinct sound and they don’t pick at your garbage bags like magpies do. Also I don’t like how the Northern Flicker likes to “hammer” with its beak on my metal roof vents at 6am waking me up. Blue Jays are nice and colourful but they seem to leave my area ( sw Calgary) if temperatures are severe.
Just my opinion
Thanks
Lynne
