Look what happen to the Packers defense when Kenny Clark was out and it is clear the Packers need an athletic disruptor at nose tackle. Not ignoring the offensive line but they have demonstrated the ability to find those players in later rounds, don't need to use a 1st.
Christian Watson may need some developing but he big, fast and athletic with a QB who tends to make good receivers look great!

I'd like to see them tradeat least one of their first-round picks for as many picks as posspble in the 33 to 50 range
By doing that they should be able to get more very good players. If Jordan davis is there you draft him otherwise you can fall back and take Travis Jones. same thing with wr.

Draft night is two weeks away. I’d love to see us finally put a stud defensive lineman alongside Kenny Clark. Then the best wide receiver available. I don’t want to see us losing one of our two first round picks to move up. There’s plenty of talent that will be still there at 22 and 28. I really would like to see us draft a Wisconsin kid Leo Chanel in the second or third round. This young man would give you everything on every play. Our defense will be championship.

The problem with the Zierlein picks is that neither player will be available at the time of the picks, and Johnson is a 3 down player.

I voted for Zierlein's draft, but don't expect anyway that Davis is available at 22. Watson would be a good choice at 28 but not 22. I think Pickens could be the surprise at 22. Size and potential make him attractive. Wilson, Olave and Williams may be better fits for slot. Expect much more from Amari Rogers this year in the slot. Could see Wyatt at 28 or flip flop him and Pickens but I would be happy with those 2 in rd 1. Get a speed receiver later.

My preference is to grab a Bell Cow WR ASAP. Who falls to 22 is the question. Burkes ( athletic and big is my preference) but certainly Olave, London, Williams, Wilson are probably gone at 22, perhaps too. Worried about Watson as your #1.
Davis is a beast at DT but there are actually a number of possibilities Wyatt at 28, or later at 53 or 59 Jones, Leal, Logan and Matias that would be a good addition to compliment Kenny Clark.
Our passing game will need a solid running attack and Offensive Lineman would help create a crease for our Running Backs. So I would not mind Green at 28.
Priorities to me are WR, DT, Edge or WR (53) and OT at 59. Of course a few teams with similar plans could change the entire order.
If at 22 you have Burks or Davis sitting there I prefer the WR first and the DT at #28.

If the first round fell that way...to land 6'6" 345 pound manchild whose best football is light years in front of him, I might shed a tear! To get a significantly larger bj Raji that is even more athletic at pick 22. It would allow joe Barry to play way more light boxes and still handle the run, forcing qbs to have to throw at our talented db group. Watkins is a poor man's randy moss, specifically with the ball in his hands as a runner. HR start and still picks 53, 60, and 90 to get another wr, edge prospect, and RT prospect.

Total nonsense that this draft is “loaded” at WR. The true top end talent is actually dubious this year, and there will be guys who will go in the first round that would go well into the second round many or most other years. Even with their needs, the Packers aren’t going to take one in the first just to take one, and there are probably three WR’s tops that fit their criteria for a legitimate WR1 and even that a stretch. And those guys could very easily be gone, so yourself for bitter disappointment now, or get your heart ripped out on draft night.

I agree whole heartedly, that this wide receiver class is loaded, especially with speed, and future WR1's are about as deep as you are going to get, even Kevin Austin Jr a possible 3-6 rounder, with all his unknowns to us non interviewing public is a possible WR1, as stated in an article, could evolve into a great WR1. The problem is who has the best chance of making that evolution regardless of where they are drafted. Draft history is littered with the bodies of potential WR1's in the first and second rounds that never fulfilled their potential because no matter how good the measurables, achieving potential, is the attitude within the individual that fulfills or does not fulfill the potential. That is what WE are paying the GM to do, to distinguish, that singular difference.
That being said, there are fewer DL's that have that raw potential than WR's. and even less that have the correct attitude to achieve their potential. We have had a hole in our DL for longer than we have had only Kenny Clark as our only DL stand-out performer. If you have that DL that you think has that potential/attitude you take him! God makes less of them than WR1's.
Pick 22, Davis, or Wyatt if there. Otherwise, WR1 whoever they determine has that potential/attitude. Then Edge is the priority or Safty. I hope the football gods are smiling on us and we get all 4 no matter how unlikely that is.
I think they should get penn state receiver or Alabama receiver Winston and then double back and get de Georgia it only makes more sense ????????

If Gutey feels strongly that Watson is a great fit then just grab him and don't miss out on him. Whoever we take at 28 will be a fine addition, whether it's defense or offense. Who knows, there could still be another good WR at 28. Personally, I guess I wouldn't mind if we took 5 WRs in the first 3 rounds. I also wouldn't mind if we didn't take any WR in the first round. I trust the communication that has to be going on this year. Just think, if Adams, MVS, and EQ were all coming back then our coaches would not be talking much about the position. I don't like either one that much. I voted for Zierlein because he is taking the two most athletic at their position, based on RAS. Both of them took Christian Watson in the first round. I don't know if that is because they think everyone else will be gone by then, if so, they are wrong. Chris Olave from Ohio State is a better 1st round #18 pick, and he should still be around by then. He is the closest to being pro-ready, year one. Christian Watson will be a project, he does not have a great catch ratio. I can see Aaron Rodgers shaking his head every time he has a drop. If Olave is gone then Treylon Burke or Jahan Dotson in that order. There are several noteworthy WR's in the 2nd round. This is where Gutey needs to trade up to get one of the three Tyrek Hill type receivers. These are Skyy Moore, Calvin Austin, and Tyquan Thorton, in that order. If he can't trade up, and the three are gone, then let's get Deven Thomkins, Bo Melton, or Khalil Shakir. The second 1st round pick #28 should be a OL, or Edge. I like OL Bernhard Raimann and Edge George Karlaftis, if he is gone then David Ojabo. Go-Pack-Go!

I don't particularly like either one either but if I had to pick one, I'd prefer the big run stopper in the middle to an offensive guard. We need offense tackles more than guards (also easier for tackles to switch to guard than vice versa). In both choices, I think we can get a better receiver in the 1st round. I like Watson a lot but I think he's a 2nd rounder and not a 1st.
