Yes because they make a good couple and we don’t see many women in his life besides his co workers. But besides that there’s a connect Between them that you can see and feel and also because he deserves to be happy as well

No they don’t need to get back together, they were a boring couple. Atwater needs to get back with Layla from season 6 I think she was in the black and blue episode. She went to prison for 3 years but she should be out by now. We need to know what happened to her and how she’s doing since it’s been 4 years now. Her and Atwater has some unfinished business.

To be honest, he really doesn't need to reconile with her especially if he reached out a few times. We know Atwaters worth but she doesn't because all she sees is a police officer. He's much more than that so that should be her loss.
