At $2 per capita if we have to pay a salary out of that we will not get many trees,an alternative could use our existing conservation agent who is very good and we get more trees for the buck

Though I would love to see this happen as I LOVE trees, it seems to me between the clear cutting of land that has taken place due to excessive building, corner of Helvetia and Chandler comes to mind, Ames Pond area and that 'contractor's yard' on South St. bordering Andover to name a few.....the saving of trees has clearly never been a priority in Tewksbury. Plus with the number of new residents always seeking tree cutting companies in Town I constantly see on Facebook Town Pages it seems people are more concerned with having bigger landscaped yards rather than leave them in their natural state. A neighbor looking to sell their house last year was told by more than one potential buyer that there were 'too many trees' in the yard! Don't like trees? Move back to the city.
