Trade him???? to who???? Who would want him??? IF he could be traded, maybe for a UDFA, no-one would even give up a 7th rounder for him. I do not understand why in the world with their last pick that they picked up another QB. If that have been the case they could have chosen Willis and had the best two available in the draft??? Unless the 0-line over achieves it won't make any difference who is behind center. If they continue to run Najee into the ground, any-one in the QB could hand the ball off, maybe even Tomlin....IMO, that's where all the problems lie...

I could not have said it any better than William Deater in his comment up above. I think if anybody should be cut, it is Tomlin.

The writing was on the wall when Tomlin resigned Haskins. Tomlin had a soft spot for him and wanted him to succeed. But tragedy struck that plan therefore Pickett was drafted to fill the void. Rudolph never had a chance in Pittsburgh after Trubisky was signed. But I can't for the life of me understand why Tomlin drafted a triple transfer QB in the 7th round who will only be an extra arm for camp when Carson Strong was there for the taking! If you wanted a real competitive camp Strong would have made it exciting! But no, Tomlin just had to waste a pick when there were so many highly rated position players still available! I can see now how this team is going to be ran after Colbert leaves!

I believe the writing is on the wall for Mason. If he performs as he has he will be released or traded.
It really does not benefit the organization from a financial perspective to carry 4 quarterbacks. The highest paid of the marginal performers should be shown the exit. After all, it is a business not a hang out for underperforming players. He has not shown the "it" factor and has very avg physical traits to escape the pocket which whomever plays WILL need some ability to scramble/run.

I find it sickening they did this to Mason... i get he it he wasnt spectacular in Ben's injured season but they had a terrible OL, no running game, and WR's who couldnt catch a cold all the while only being given 10-15% of the playbook, not to mention Ben was in no way going to mentor him. Rudolph went 5-4 as a starter and had it not been for some fumbling and dropped passes issues would have went 7-2 even playing QB roulette between Mason and Duck. Mason deserves better but i guess this is part of the Steeler way... when they no longer seem useful to you...Force them out, Ask Troy, ask Hines, and according to a recent interview you can even ask Ben. I find the whole situation disgusting and the Steelers should be ashamed of themselves

My question is what do the Steelers do with Mitch. He was a failure in Chicago and didn’t play in Buffalo. Stop assuming he’s the starter. Mason only played a handful of games in disastrous situations. He’s earned a spot to complete and Mitch needs to beat him out for the job. Don’t expect expect any from Mitch. This is history repeating, remember David Woodley being brought in to replace Bradshaw…a disaster.
